Made my daughter's birthday special

We visited for my daughter's birthday. We were seated on the balcony as requested to watch the sunset, food was great (and we eat a lot of Turkish food) and the service was great. They even played my daughter's favourite Turkish song when requested. The owner is charming and the staff were friendly and attentive.

Lovely food and lovely service

Myself and a friend visited this evening and the food (fillet steak) was absolutely delicious, fantastic value for money. Deniz provided the most amazing service and really made our evening. Thank you deniz!

Another amazing meal at gusta

We always visit this restraunt when we go on holiday, this was our first visit to turkey since lockdown , our party of eight visited on 4th of may. This was our fourth visit to the restraunt and as always it was fantastic eight happy customers we enjoyed a lovely meal the steaks were awesome the halloumi cheese starter and as always the ottoman kebab was spot on one of my favourite meals, the menu is fantastic. The owner is really kind and a great host he really looked after us we cannot recommend this restraunt enough if you are in marmaris or down the harbour/old town this is where u want to go for food reasonably priced too. Thanks Gusta see you again 👍

Couldn’t recommend enough!

Me and my partner decided to visit Gusta after looking on trip advisor for somewhere to eat on our night away from our resort, from first glance it didn’t look amazing however, we were blown away with the food and service. The manager was so welcoming, the staff very attentive without being over the top, we had recommendations for wine, which turned out to be one of the cheapest bottles, and was delicious. We enquired about a mixed grill, as had seen this in previous reviews and whilst this wasn’t on the menu they were more than happy to accommodate. The food was incredible, very, very good quality, the manager made a few small suggestions to tweak what we wanted, but was in no way overbearing, he clearly knows his stuff! Not people to be easily pleased I had to leave a review because this really was a gem of a restaurant. We had the garlic shrimp for starter which was really tasty, mixed grill with one of the best steaks I’ve had for a long time, served with a sauce, rice and salad. Any changes were no problems and the price was very, very reasonable. Will definitely return again next year! All staff were extremely personable and very much on the ball, especially Anya who was our waitress.

Lacking seasoning and freshness

We chose the place mainly for the value (marina is overpriced) and lovely foreign waitress that explained the menu to us. The free starter we received was the best part of our experience.. My partner ordered the traditional Turkish kebab which had no seasoning whatsoever, not even salt and pepper. He didn't enjoy his dinner at all. I had the seafood platter, which was fairly enjoyable but lacked seasoning as well and the kalamari were chewy and rubbery (definitely not fresh). It looked nothing like the pictures and it was smothered in a very heavy sauce that made me feel slightly ill afterwards. Unfortunately wouldn't go back.

In our three nights in Marmaris we came here twice. Service is super fast and friendly, food is tasty, portions are "Turkish size" :) (very big). We saw other people were enjoying their food too and it was clear that there are repeated guests among them.

Clams were out of date

We both ordered linguini con vongole, the waiter advised us that this was the chefs specialty. Well I really hope it wasn’t as they tasted dreadful. The clams tasted awful. Out of date I would say. I am hoping to God that I do not get tummy troubles tomorrow. I am not going back to this restaurant.

A Jewel in the Crown

Last night we had the pleasure of eating in Gusta in the harbour/marina. We went here purely off recommendations from this group and boy we were not disappointed. We were greeted by Oktay (manager) who offered my wife and I a seat on the veranda overlooking the sea. The views are amazing. We both had a starter, a main course and we shared a dessert. My wife had Grilled Halloumi to start followed by the Adana Kebab for main course. I had the Prawn croquette to start followed by Sweet & Sour Chicken for main. All of the food came out beautifully presented as well as being piping hot. We shared a Baklava for dessert which was just the right size portion. Two of them would have just been too much. We also had one bottle of beer, 4 glasses of wine and a large bottle of water. All in all this came to 2990.00 Lira or just over £70. I’d highly recommend Gusta if you are looking for a reasonable meal out with great service and even better views. 👌🏻

Get a table in the terrace!

We came across this restaurant on our first night as we decided to venture to the marina for a walk and what a find it was! We had a table for two on their terrace and it was absolutely beautiful the views of the marina were stunning especially as the sun was setting. I ordered the creamy Tuscan chicken pasta and it was absolutely divine. So divine that on our second to last night we went again and I ordered it again. The staff were really friendly and attentive and we found it to be reasonably priced compared to restaurants on the sea front. We will definitely be visiting again on our next trip to marmaris!

Great Gusta

Great spot located at the marina, away from the noise and crowds found at the beachfront. Fresh fish was superbly cooked and seasoned with the kids enjoying their chicken and meatball dishes. Good value, good atmosphere and highly recommended.

Just a lovely experience.

We had a lovely lunch this afternoon. The staff were very very friendly, attentive and not pushy at all. The food was absolutely spot on, we asked for a slightly special order and it came out perfectly and in good time. The atmosphere and ambience was great in the shade at midday in the relax more casual decor was perfect for us. I was put off by all the white table clothes but that's just me. Give the guys at gusta a go if you're down there you'll not be disappointed.

Outrageously good steak

Visited 5 years ago and had the best steak we have ever tried so eagerly returned hoping for the same and we were not disappointed!! Absolutely phenomenal service and quality of food. Slightly more expensive than the surrounding restaurants but compared to home prices absolutely worth it for the view/area and quality of food.

The best view and food

We visited this restaurant after a 10-year break and were impressed by the service that has improved since 2014. Yes, the dishes have probably decreased in size, the price has increased, but the quality has risen to a higher level. We recommend this restaurant primarily to lovers of seafood, but the steaks here are excellent. Anya helped a lot, she is a hostess on the second floor. By the way, you should always choose a table on the second floor, since the air flow and freshness are much higher there. Thanks to Ana, we got exactly what we wanted, as we can talk to her in both Russian and English. Also, the acceptance of UnionPay cards without any problems, both for paying the bill and for tips, deserves special praise. Thank you so much for a wonderful evening overlooking the bay of Marmaris!

Lovely tasty lunch by the marina...

Not pushy and not chasing you down the marina to get you to come in - a good sign. Accommodated a chicken pasta dish so we have the chicken on the side and could therefore share. Very tasty... nom nom. Deserves its good rating.
