Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Best Mexican restaurant I’ve found locally. Authentic meals, large variety of choices, great service and very reasonable prices. This visit was our first at lunch time and discovered they have a varied and very reasonably priced lunch menu.

Was in Albany for the day and stopped at La Fiesta for lunch. My daughter ordered steak fajitas - not a lot of seasoning but large portions and still delicious. Since the portions were so large, I suggest asking/bringing more tortillas. We also ordered chicken tamales, chile pablano and chicken Quesadillas. All large portions, delicious and came out hot. Service was a bit slow and waitress did not ask us for refills on chips, salsa or drinks.

The food and selection is wonderful. The staff does a great job and it shows. The quality of the food is very very good and as authentic as I can tell anyway. It has become a lot busier in the past few months as more people find out about it's food and charm.

A group of 8 of us went for dinner, a birthday celebration ( mine). Food was great, we all agreed. Very plentiful, with lots to take home. I decided to order a drink I had not had in years, a Sombrero, a MEXICAN drink made with kauhlua liquor & milk or cream. NO ONE of the young wait staff knew what it was!! We couldn't believe it! How ridiculous. I tried to describe it to no avail. They finally brought me a in a coffee mug, some hot coffee with milk & kauhlua liquor in it. I had asked to go easy on the alcohol, & they did as I asked. We were all a range of baby boomer ages, & we thought maybe that was why they were clueless. Another one of us also tried to ask for a Sombrero, describing it as a being with ice, & they brought her some kind of cold milky concoction in a parfait glass. But she assured me there was NO ALCOHOL in hers! That part was very strange. My hot coffee was fine, but we couldn't believe it. All th wait staff we spoke to had English as a 2nd language, so maybe that was the problem? A simple Internet search just now, described perfectly, how to make a Sombrero drink. The only negative was as the restaurant filled up, the noise level became almost unbearable! Not anything staff could do about that. That's a negative that would make me hesitant going back to eat there in person. We all agreed on that. One plus was a woman came to each table, & for an extra fee, made a large bowl of guacamole right there at the table. Delicious!

We had an awesome lunch here. The servings were so large that we also had the leftovers for dinner. The best chimichangas I’ve ever had. Fast, friendly service. If I lived in the area, this would become a regular favorite place to eat

Restaurant sits smack dab in the middle of the Days Inn Parking lot - a fairly run down motel and a stones throw from a Quality Inn. Waiter took our order and another person brought over salsa/chips. The salsa was flavorless and more like thinned, canned tomato paste. Wasn't impressed that our waiter served our meal to another table and we had to wait for our meal to be prepared - again. Not on a return list!

The worst Mexican meal I’ve ever had. I got the steak and chicken Dos Amigos. It was the thinnest piece of chicken and steak I’ve ever had. The rice and beans were a joke as well. I ordered a 22 oz frozen margarita ($15 BTW). It actually had about 16 oz in the glass. The service was very slow! When I walked in, I had to walk pass a couple of bums who were staying in the motel next door.

The staff was very attentive. We sat outside, which was pleasant. The food was average. Not a lot of flavor. I will say the garnishes were fresh ( tomatoes, lettuce, onion). The portions are large.

The waitress was great. We ordered the taco salad and the chicken quesadilla both were very satisfying. Flavors were spot on.

We had dinner here w/ our niece & friend Tue 8/25/20 6pm. We have dined here many times and it was another very nice visit. Our server was Joel. We ordered drinks - Sangria ($7), a wine ($7), & a medium house margarita on the rocks ($9). Joel brought a bowl of chips & salsa to our table and took our dinner orders. tacos de carnitas ($11.50), pollo a la parrilla ($16) (enough for take home), border quesadilla ($13), & an Andrea's - 3 chicken enchiladas w/ sauce only as per request ($12.50). All brought to the table together, hot, and fully of authentic taste. We also shared one order of Mexican rice & refried beans that accompany all entrees. Very good meals at a value price. All made in house. They also offer an all-u-can eat lunch buffet for $9 Mon-Wed 11am-2pm. The restaurant has been newly remodelled but still retains its cozy atmosphere w/ nice ethnic music on tape. Hours: 11am-10pm Mon-Thu, 11am-11pm Thu-Fri, Sat 12pm-11pm, Sun 12pm-9pm. Consistently very good food & service. Thank you Joel & the rest of the La Fiesta staff. Nick & Liz, Albany, NY

La Fiesta is a very nice, laid back authentic Mexican Restaurant. It has good food and a colorful, festive, atmosphere! My husband and I have been there a couple of times for their luncheon buffet, which you definitely cannot beat. There are a number of tasty selections that are offered and for such a reasonable price. They serve delicious, warm homemade chips and salsa when you place your order. The staff is friendly and attentive. We had the pleasure of visiting with Aldo and Leo on two of our visits, such nice guys, and very eager to make sure you are enjoying your lunch. If you like Mexican food you will like La Fiesta!!!
