Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Wonderful staff, location, curry’s, cocktails and sunset - what more could you ask for? This the real Fiji. Will definitely be back again.

Great location. Friendly staff. We drove to the location. Very well situated and secluded beach front space. Cool sea breezes. Ordered a beer and a cocktail. The drinks were very delicious and cold and reasonably priced. We ordered a chef salad for each of us....It arrived promptly. The salad was very basic, and small portions for the price. A small soup bowl size of shredded cabbage and carrots with a delicious vinegaret was $24.00 fjMore

If your looking for high rise luxury with expensive prices, this is not for you. If your looking for friendly, helpful staff, authentic Fiji waterfront location and great food and drinks, this is for you. The restaurant has a good menu (one of the best...I’ve seen in Fiji) and all good is well prepared. Eating locations are relaxing with great water views. The host, Norman, is fantastic and makes sure all guests get gold star service. Location is about halfway between Lautoka and Nadi. The hotel has shuttle, at economical prices or you can take an easy ride in a taxi to return. Be patient. This is Fiji and things fall into place.More

This was my 3rd stay here. The last time was 10 years ago. I felt like I was coming home, Accommodation was perfect for our 2 night stay. Bed was comfy, clean and room spacious. Shower was good, plenty of hot water. We both slept...well. Pool, lovely and clean. Staff were welcoming and friendly and best of all seeing Norman after many years, was wonderful. Restaurant food good, menu was varied and did not disappoint. Looking forward to returning next JulyMore

We stayed at First Landing Resort and ate at their restaurant most nights. Yes, the menu prices reflect resort prices, and some dishes are better than others, just like any restaurant. The vibe is awesome here, the staff are friendly and warm, and unlike the...restaurant at the marina, First Landing staff will tell you up front about the waiting time, if you order something from the menu that needs more time, such as the lobster. The fire dancing was amazing. There was a dance performance 3 of the 5 nights that we ate dinner there, live music every night, and for those who want a quiet or romantic meal away from the entertainment, there's the option to sit further away from the stage, either outside under cover (if it's happening inside the dining room) or in the dining room if the weather's fine and the performances are on the outdoor stage. Our groups faves were the Yama pizza, the garlic prawns, the prawns from the Asian menu, the wedges, the Kokoda, the burgers, spag bol and the creme brûlée. A stunning setting, gorgeous sunsets and most of all, lovely people who are committed to their guests having a great dining experience.More

We stayed here for 3 nights and what a great time we had, we stayed in the older beach view bure and what a great place it was, beautiful views and sunrises literally from your bed. They could do with some modernizing but everything was...clean and AC worked well. Breakfast was with the room and a lovely breakfast spread is put on, you can also get a hot breakfast for no extra if you wish. The pool was great and we spent most of one day poolside and in the pool, eating, drinking and relaxing. Would definitely stay again.More

We stayed a week. The service staff were attentive and ordered our food as requested. The night cook is fine, great meals, loved the garlic prawns most. The wait staff wrote out "specifically" what we wanted for breakfast, yet every morning the cook took no...notice. Things like crisp bacon, No toast, Undercooked eggs when asked for Well Done. We told the wait staff daily and finally went to the Boathouse for lunch, skipping house breakfast. Note: Non-Tipping Nations, please be aware of the extreme hardship these island groups have suffered. The area pay for food workers is under $F3 per hour, (that's $1.50 approx US). They all need a hand. Last note, the island is over 90% vaccinated.More

I’m still really annoyed that I was robbed of $2,000.00 Solomon Island dollars and a good large sewing kit from my first landing room with little or no investigation (the maid wasn’t even interviewed as her catching her bus seemed far more important!) The food...at the restaurant is ok, I liked the garlic prawns. The staff at the restaurant are good, some try harder than others (the younger ones) otherwise it can be very much Fijian time or care factor zero. Still angry that I was told to check my bags countless times, which I did, rather than their real comprehension of what did and has happened. $2,000.00 is about $340.00 AUD and it was in a zipped silver bag/purse. I can’t say who it was but odd things did happen the day before I discovered it was gone ie in the silver bag there was a glasses case filled with spare notes in other currencies, a5 one stage the cleaning lady came rushing back into the room like she had forgotten something and pointed at my sunglasses on the porch table and said ‘be careful they are not taken’ (I thought what an odd comment as the porch is enclosed and I was there, I wouldn’t leave them on the table) and that day I phoned reception and she came running back asking if everything was ok looking very worried. It was also prompted that I had moved rom the day before (annoyingly everything was in the safe in the other room) but the neighbours outdoor air conditioning was so loud I couldn’t sleep the night before and the same person blamed the people who helped me move, but I had moved everything myself and these things would have been in a safe bag. I hope something is done about it and that at the very least I’m reimbursed by the hotelMore

We stopped at this restaurant on our way back from the Garden of the Sleeping Giant. The restaurant was not very crowded and they had our reserved table all set up outside on the deck with a tablecloth and a beautiful view of the water....The seafood plate was local seafood and vegetables prepared the Fijian way including Kokoda (fish in lime juice with onions and tomatoes) and French fried Cassava. The wait staff was appropriately attentive and gave us a little guidance for our walk around the First Landing site. My wife had the BLT which was a delicious Club stacked sandwich. Their prices were quite reasonable for the ambiance, delicious menu, and service.More

The staff were Fiji natives, as are most Indian Fiji. The question is opposed to government desires to not discriminate.

"Probably unjustified because all countries have native peoples." Oh dear. "Thanks for the advice" would have been a better reply. How about use the word indigenous if you must, or local, or use Fijian-Indian if you want to... More
