Highly recommended. No language problem as the staff efficient uses translator on their phone and is ready to help. I like spicy food, but th mild version wa already really spicy. Go for lunch, as there might be longer waiting times for dinner as the...restaurant is very popular by locals.More

For tourists and locals alike, it's very busy with a long line of people waiting to be seated. Best to do your booking ahead of time. The food was delicious and no adjustments are made to suit oversensitive palates. Be ready to get hot! That...said, it was up to your table guests how hot the souce and chillies would be. This is a restaurant you will be glad to add to your Sichuan experience.More

Visit there in December which is perfect match as winter season. The soup is very taste but not because of MSG, more like because of herbal. Various selection of foods and meat. The rpice is reasonable. This restaurant always full with customers. The problem is...the English skill is very very limited.More

We'd seen the queues outside here so went around 5 pm on a Sunday and were shown straight to a table. We were obviously new to hotpot but the staff (despite the language barrier) were really helpful, showing us what to do and how to...assemble the dipping sauce. We had the half and half spicy and mushroom broth and it was delicious. Yes the spicy one was hot but not unbearable and you could always cook your food in the mild broth and dip it in the spicy one for a little heat if that suited you better. We had six dishes between two of us; thin beef, sausage, tofu, cabbage, mushrooms and beansprouts. This was about right but we did leave feeling very full and wouldn't have wanted any more. It was delicious and a great fun experience. It was also great value - 150 yuan total including a beer each.More

Visit this restaurant twice during my trip to Chengdu last December. It is a perfect hotpot restaurant during winter season im December. The food is good, my kids like this hotpot restaurant. We chose the non-spicy soup because we are not Sichuan residents who can...afford to eat spicy food. The price is reasonable, quite cheap.More

We came here since it was close to the Dorsett hotel and it smelled good from the street. We ordered the requisite veggies and meats and prepared for some hot pot. My wife got the mushroom flavor (mild) broth while I got the spicy version....Her's was a bit bland but my broth was bubbling pretty high and would deposit droplets of spicy goodness into hers which increased the flavor. The food was good, my broth was spicy but not overwhelming (I can tolerate very high levels of spice so be careful!), and everything came pretty quickly. It's a fun experience while in Chengdu and if you travel around China you notice the subtle differences between regional variations of hot pots as well.More

The place offers authentic Sichuan hot pot despite its over the top deco. We were staying at the hotel right next to it and ‘witnessed’ how much the locals love this place. The place always has a long queue outside every moment after sun down...and the queue is never affected by the weather. People would line up for the place in the rain. To avoid the queue at night, go there for lunch.More

Recommended by my hotel -Ritz. Great choice. The spicy broth was really flavoursome as I find others were a bit bland. You have to know Chinese to order though as menu in Chinese. They even use app as menu but has a soft copy for...tourist. There is always a queue during peak time. But worth it. Food were great. Note: spicy broth with medium spice is actually really spicy!!!! At least for me.More

Restaurant is approx. 180m from Dorsett Grand Chengdu Hotel. We saw long queue for dinner when we first arrived in Loumashi so we went to the restaurant before 6pm on a Sunday. We were led straight to a table. The aroma of dried chillis filled...the restaurant. Good selection of meat, veggies and noodles are available in reasonable prices. However, rice was not in the menu. A choice of 3 level of spiciness and non-spicy broth. We chose the least spicy or "mala" and non-spicy broths; yet mala numbed our tongues and mouths. Definitely recommend the delicious non-spicy broth.More

We came here mid-afternoon, so we're able to walk straight in. Not crowded at this time. Better than queuing during lunch/evening meal times when waiting times can be long. Hot pot has two rings so you can have a combination of hot flavour and non-spicy....Food fresh and nicely presented. The sauce is a little different to other regions... just sesame oil, Corriader and garlic and soy. You can choose to have any or none of these. We came as it was highly recommended on a Chinese app. Certainly worth it.More
