Truly great food options at this St Regis dining location. The decor is an old boathouse by the ocean ( but about a 10 minute walk from the marina) Outside tables are the best with the warm morning breeze. Tasty local seafood AND they had eggs benedict

Despite the waiters and waitress doing their best the level is far from the one expected from an hotel like St Regis, it’s a pity to see that chinese customers are paying this price for such a level. The furnitures are old, the service poor, the wine list very poor. The food was simple but Ok. Such hotel for mass tourism are pulling down the level, really sad.

During my family’s two day stay at the St. Regis Yalong Bay, we had our breakfast at the Driftwood and the food and service were impeccable!! Particular complement goes to the wait staff Zoe. When our younger (2.5 yrs old) son isn’t sitting still for breakfast, Zoe took the initiative to look after our boy so my wife and I can enjoy the breakfast experience. She took him to feed the peacock at the hotel’s peacock pen (see photo) and my kid still had a great time!!

We loved this restaurant. We came here for their breakfast. This was part of the perks of being a platinum / titanium member of Marriott Bonvoy. The food was elegantly spread out. Good selection with the standard international flair but there was Japanese sashimi and sushi and a good mix of local food. We enjoyed the menu a la carte orders of slow boiled egg with caviar and their foie gras. The egg was heavenly and delicately prepared. The restaurant is small and cosy. Nice cafe music plays in the background. The icing on the cake was the staff. We had the pleasure of meeting Angela. She is a local Hainanese working there. Very attentive. Excellent memory of us though we met briefly on the first day. She introduced us to the yellow lantern chilli. It was made from their local spicy capsicum. Very nice! Be warned. It is fairly high on the Scoville index. She offered us off the menu local hainanese dishes. What a touch of personalization! Coming to breakfast gives us a hearty meal for the day, complete with a wonderful view of the sea, and an appreciation of the locals. Angela is a gem nested in the understated restaurant.

Came with friends to celebrate her birthday. Called in to make reservation and the manager David was extremely welcoming. The moment we came in the restaurant, the table was already set up with flower and window seat with gorgeous view. Great food and value for money. Must try if you are in Yalong Bay, Sanya.

We had dinner here with family and friends, The restaurant is beautifully located, sea view with big lawn where our kids can go play before the dinnere start. The food was amazing. The open style lasagna with prawns was really good and tasty, the ravioli was amazing too! My friend chose the oyster which looks really good I'd love to try next time. The food overal was really good and high quality, the best we tried so far in yalong bay. I saw the tomahawk ordered from other table (so big size has to be share with at least 3 people I think) and so tempted to order, next time then. Before our dinner ends we got served desert table served on long wood with complimentary choice of 3 dessert, such a great offer 😊, Thank you for the amazing experience

Ok: I am going to be short & sweet because I am writing this review only to warn other people. If you are a foodie DON'T go there. We went at this St. Regis restaurant, guests of a friend who was taking his holidays there. What can I say? 1) Almost none (well, only one as it happens) of the waiters spoke English (yes, believe me, and this should be the St. Regis). 2) Waited a long time, then brought all the dishes together, even if we specifically say we didn’t want them to be served together 3) One of the dishes was pasta with tomato sauce and fish. Now, what arrived was completely another dish. Still pasta but with loads of cream and some other amenity. No dish listed on the menu (and that we ordered) anywhere to be seen. We pointed out this was not the plate we ordered. The answer was that the tomato sauce and the fish was finished so the chef decided to make another dish!!!!! I mean: can you believe it? This should be the St. Regis (again). Why they didn’t come before, saying that the fish/sauce was finished? The chef must have though that, as almost all the clients were Chinese, they wouldn’t have know the difference. Bad luck…we are Europeans! 4) The pasta (not just the one mentioned above) was overcooked and tasteless. I can definitely say this has been the worst dining episode in my entire high-end hotel experiences. If I could, I would put zero dots but cannot.

Service: Sister Lnny’s service is very considerate The truffle fries were a bit bland The pasta has a bit of a raw texture, so people who like harder pasta will love it. The weather has been just right this month
