Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We have been here a couple of times, and have had very nice food. The staff is very friendly, a few of them actually speak English which is quite rare here in ConcepciĂłn. Their picso sours are really good! Nice selection of wines as well.

It´s a small place at the corner of a business district in Concepcion and is nearby Atton Concepcion hotel. Excellent Cebiche (mixto) as an appetizer and they offer come good variety of seafood dishes. We went for an early dinner at 6pm, but the place was almost full. It is an awsome place to prove Peruvian cuisine is you are in Cooncepcion.

We arrived around 4 pm, quiet weekday and sat in the empty front room with the view on the street. The music was loud and imposing, demanding to be heard. I felt it was for the staff's enjoyment but as a client, I did not enjoy it. Was going to ask them to turn it down but you know what they say happens when you offend a waitperson. I should say waiter, not a female wait person on site,
Our waiter apparently left his smile at home. He served us begrudgingly, as if we were an inconvenience that came with his job. I asked about the shrimp cocktail and if it had the regular tomato horse radish coctail sauce which supplies a pleasant bite to the shrimp. He said they only had one sauce for the shrimp cocktail and when asked about the ingredients, he answered "a mixture of mayo and ketchup". Yuck
I did not pay much attention to the foods my friends ordered. The music was so oppressive at that point I wanted to eat and leave and so did they. I ordered a salad and salmon steak with seafood in a creamy tomato sauce. The salad was limp, lack luster and dead looking. Did not eat it. The salmon steak was overcooked, like eating leather and the sauce was tasteless. There was incredible mechanical background noise from a machine the bartender was using, even louder than the offensive music.
My friends were equally disappointed. If you have even the most miniscule epicurean tastes or even a slightly sophiticated palate, eating here will be a punishment. The only good thing about the restaurant were the photos of the menu food. Amazing photography, unlike the tasteless food. Caveat emptor.

We came on a quiet Monday night. The decoration is not very nice; typical traditional restaurant. The dishes don’t look good but are awsome! Service somewhat slow (maybe because our table was upstairs), many wines on the wine list not available. Dishes are enormous, so we had no dessert.

I had lunch today in the Calle Angol restaurant (a few blocks from Parque Ecuador). It was a very good experience throughout. Staff were helpful, and I immediately liked the ambience inside: lovely wall decorations, excellent table settings and lots of uniformed staff. I was helped by a very pleasant young man, who spoke enough English to match the little Spanish I speak and who looked after me well. I enjoyed an excellent Peruvian beer, well-served and beautifully cold, breads before my main course and a very good chicken dish with a yellow sauce. The food was first-class, unlike some of my previous encounters with Peruvian food. Thoroughly recommended, even if slightly more expensive than my normal meals (I arrived too late for the menu del dia!)

Our food was brought promptly and we were served some bread while we waited. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The prices were about 15 dollars a plate which is fair. The service was friendly and the facilities were clean and wonderfully decorated. We won't be back often because we like cheaper places but when we need somewhere nicer to go, we'll be back.

They have a extensive menu. But when I went there on a weekday, at least 50% things were not available. Eg the Ceviche or Tiradito was only avbl with Salmon and not any other fish!
I wanted a lamb dish. It was not avbl either. But after 10 mins they said, it was avbl. Its called "seco de cordero". It was very very very bad. Lamb was not soft and i had to swallow the lamb!
Even for drinks, they had some down trodden Peruan beer. No local beers or some good quality Peruvian beer.
The service was polite but the guys looked overworked. For the final payment, I just left my seat and went to pay at the counter.
The ambience was zero!
The good
Free wifi was avbl and fast!
Will I return? No, NEVER.
Do I recommend? No. Only if you are desperate to eat Peruana else avoid.

This is a hands down great Peruvian restaurant. Good selection of wines even half bottles (great for solo eaters). Had the classic causa limeña (huge portion) and albacore tuna "a lo macho" for dinner all were great! Friendly service!

Peruvian food is very popular in Chile. I'm tempted to give this one 5 stars, but with so many other good ones to compare with, I'd say this ranks very high.

Beautiful food excellent service and nice surroundings will visit again this Saturday evening. Strongly suggest the seafood dishes if you're a seafood lover like myself. I am Chilean and love Pisco Sour but this is the best I've tasted by far.
