Great local Restaurant & Bar with a solid staff of friendly knowledgeable people. Very fair pricing for your portion as well, do not eat here if you are in a diet!!!!!
Excellent beverage choices also. Gotta try the “Porkies” sandwich: “TWO” pork tenderloins chicken fried on a bun with the usual lettuce, tomato, pickle, onion additions. Great fries!
Great fried cheese curds appetizer also!

I visited on a business trip with a few companions. The chicken fried steak was superb, and a novelty for this East Coaster. My companions enjoyed their meals too. Our waitress did a great job. I would definitely eat here again if I’m ever in the area.

This tiny little restaurant in a blink-and-you-miss-it town served the best 16-oz. rib eye I've had in a long time. I suppose I shouldn't have been surprised. This is, after all, the Ruby River Valley and the heart of Montana cattle country. Great food and great service from good people.

Saturday, July 10th at 3 pm I entered Chicks looking forward to an early dinner. Three tables had customers and the rest of the tables had dirty glasses and dished on them I sat down at a table expecting someone to come over and clear it and deliver a menu. 10 -15 minutes later it still hadn't happened. the waitress was visiting with another table in the corner. My presence was never acknowledged. , another customer came in and the waitress delivered a menu to him as I still sat waiting. She then started to leave the room to get a beer for this customer. This is when I got up and left. Tips are not considered to be part of the price of the meal. Tips are based on service. And not having received any service I did not leave a tip when I left the restaurant. Service this day was horrible. The cost of meals today with tip and food if I was this owner I would be concerned with losing business and revenue. This waitress clearly was not concerned about loosing customers.

If I could give zero stars I would…We had been on their calendar for over a year for our wedding. We spoke several times confirming that date and time and location. I spoke with Randy a few weeks before the event asking if we needed to provide cups or ice or anything and he said no, they will provide all of that. Two weeks before the wedding we called again confirming everything. Wedding day rolls around and they are a no show. He told us he didn’t have us down, then he checked his calendar and realized he did, then proceeded to hang up on us…twice. Might be an okay place to go in and have a drink, but do not take them on for an event. Thankfully we had amazing people at our wedding who came through. Big thanks to Main Street Market for carrying a huge variety of alcohol! And a shout out to Lost Cabin Bar for having us for shots after the ceremony and graciously letting us take photos in your amazing establishment! Check both of them out in Twin Bridges! They saved the day along with our guests who pullled it off without a hitch. I DO NOT RECOMMEND HAVING THEM DO AN EVENT!!!

Not much is open for lunch in Virginia City so we were headed to Twin Bridges when we saw this place in Alder. Excellent food and service and it's very clean.

Our volleyball team was playing in a tournament and we needed to be able to feed them before the game. Chick's was very accommodating and the girls loved the food. The service was great and we were fed very quickly.

We make the trek to Alder, Montana at least a few times a year and always enjoy this restaurant. The exterior of the building is misleading and one may be tempted to not stop, but do so. You will be more than surprised at the Western Theme, cleanliness, and exceptional food with great service.

I had breakfast at Chick's a few days ago. If you're surprised with an outstanding breakfast, just a simple breakfast, so was I. My order was simple, two eggs over medium, hash browns and bacon. But the hash browns were exceptional, perfectly seasoned, and obviously made to order. The bacon was crispy, as ordered, and the whole wheat toast was thick Montana made bread, and generously buttered for me. Didn't have to deal with those cold butter portions. The coffee was strong, just like I like it. Unfortunately, I was just passing through and didn't have a chance to have another breakfast.

Fine Dinner! Undiscovered yet by tourists but full of locals enjoying great food .
We were staying just down the road and a girl at a lical bakery told us we could find a fine dinner here.
She was right!
Unpretentious.. super fine quality food. It wowed us. Undiscivered gem.
Right on the main toad. No fancey signs. Dont miss it . its between Sheriden and nevada city MT.

$30 gets you a great ribeye of Montana beef, potato, plus soup and salad bar at Chick’s. Seriously the best value around!
Sometimes they are understaffed in the restaurant, yet the kitchen always turns out great meals quickly. The salad bar won’t impress those from the big city, and sometimes it gets picked over before it can be refilled, but it has REAL bacon bits, great blue cheese dressing, and quality greens.
Taco Bar on Tuesdays is the norm, and they serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Hidden gem in the middle of nowhere, Montana! Restaurant entrance around back. Several in our group had chicken fried steak (wish I did as well). Huge plate of food. Salad bar was good. My burger was pretty tasty too. Go give them a try, you will be happy you did.

Lucky we got there when we did, the place was packed! Excellent food, beverages and service. There were 3 of us in our party and we each had something different, all were great meals.

Awesome, the greatest gathering every year and amazing prizes. They even had an uber driver available to carpool back and forth, it was a luxury ride! Potluck and pig roast, great food. Stayed right there in one of their motel rooms, awesome clean rooms for a great price!
