I visited La Tablita with a friend after hearing lots of good things from my colleagues and friends and I certainly was not disappointed! From the minute we entered the restaurant we were greeted by friendly staff who seated us very quickly even though the restaurant was very busy. Our server for the evening was Cindel and she was absolutely amazing! She explained the food menu and drinks menu to us giving her recommendations and tips, which was so very much appreciated. The food arrived promptly and was so delicious as well as brilliant value for money! I can’t wait to visit again very soon!

La Tablita is my go-to place for Mexican food in Dubai. The venue is spacious with vibrant and sublime decor. The Mexican food is authentic, flavorful and utterly delicious. And the drinks pack a perfect punch. Today we tried their breakfast menu that is available on Saturdays and it was amazing. Priced AED 55 it includes a wholesome Mexican breakfast dish along with coffee or tea or juice. Mexican bread basket is also provided. Very good value breakfast and the portion size was great.

Don't go, if you're hungry and really want a good filling meal where you DON'T have to place 2-3 orders of the same item just to get a taste of what you're eating then go to another restaurants.
first off, there is nothing super WOW about the food
secondly their "sharing" items are barely able to share between 2 people i.e. their guacamole which should be under the sharing list can be eaten by 2 and still feel super hungry after words.
thirdly, their tacos are super small for the price of an average 20aed ( waste of money)
fourthly the entertainment is okay-ish nothing too wow and definitely cannot substitute the price you pay
thirdly the service is clearly in need of major motivation where their waiters are clearly frustrated with the same questions " why are your portions so damn small!"
our bill came to approximately 200AED for 2 people; we have one bottle of water, one taco ( the smallest I have ever seen in my entire life) and a quasidillia ( 4 bites and it was done) and a guacamole to share ( we kept asking the waters to bring more chips to fill up on).
just so you know, we left the place and went to a drive through to eat , we were absolutely dissatisfied with the value of money, and portions,
the location of this hotel/restaurant is not too far from waif mall, Dubai mall and other good restaurants in the area, clearly the restaurant is taking advantage of the fact that it's in a hotel and is charging premium prices with a 20% hotel fee on top because "they can"
conclusion : drive 10 minutes down the road where you have abundant amounts of restaurants closer to down town/ DIFC/ garhoud etc and enjoy a good quality meal.

It saddens us to read negative reviews from valued guests who take the effort to come and visit us here at La Tablita. We genuinely do our level best to make sure our patrons have a good time. However, thanks for taking out the time and sharing your feedback.
La Tablita is famously known for its Mexican food, prepared by Mexican chefs. With a limited yet strong career driven team, we have been able to keep up with the service as well as authenticity that the restaurant has promised to offer always. Our tacos are priced at AED 19 per piece mainly due to the authenticity of the ingredients used. We make our tortillas for the tacos, quesadillas, etc., fresh in our kitchen, which actually has been quite a favourite amongst many regular diners.
Please accept my sincere apologies for saying this, however, we have mentioned that our per person spend can go up to AED 150 approximately. Lastly, I beg to differ when you point out that we charge 20% hotel fee on top. All our prices are inclusive of Dubai Municipality fee, VAT and Service charge.
I would like to let you know that we would have been more than happy to speak to you on the floor while you were at the restaurant dining with us. We would have surely offered you a discount as well, if it might have helped or offered our Signature dessert, Tres Leches with our love and compliments to make sure that our guests leave happy, only wanting to come back. We appreciate your efforts and hope for your safety in the times ahead.

Went there for a dinner with my fiancee. We had three dishes in total. The quality of the food is good but the portions are quite small and the prices are way too high for the place it is.
The mexican lady serving us was very friendly and helpful but then after dinner we went to the "smoking area" near the bar with our drinks and another lady approached us in a rude way saying "No,no, no! You cant sit here with your drinks!". We didnt know how to react and just moved away. Maybe they should teach some of their staff on how to treat customers.

I wanted to like La Tablita, but I have to say it is over-rated. After being shown to my table, I was ignored for over 10 minutes and couldn't even order a drink. Eventually I managed to get the attention of the Mexican lady manager who was apologetic, but this shouldn't happen in a 5 star hotel.
Food was somewhat disappointing. I was happy to see ceviche on the menu and ordered two types. The seabass one was terrible and had to be sent back. The fish was in tiny pieces and obviously not freshly prepared. The tuna ceviche was much better.
After that I ordered a few tacos, which took forever to come. The manager once again apologised, and offered a complimentary glass of wine. Apparently it was Taco Tuesday and the chefs couldn't make them quickly enough. When they finally arrived they were ok, but nothing special.
It is difficult to find authentic Mexican food in the UAE, and the lady manager was very friendly and apologetic, but sadly I cannot recommend this restaurant.

Came back just for my mum to try this restaurant but since Daniel and Stephani left this place it’s not the same.
The service dropped down and the food quality is not as it used to be before.
The lady taking care of us took ages to bring the usual chips which the salsas, actually had to ask for it. Ordered fajitas and it was two people sharing, had to wait at least 10 mins for some more tortilla.
Trying calling the waiters passing by and everyone was avoiding it.
Asked for frozen margaritas but again the blender was broken, probably since 7/8 months.
Complained to the ongoing manager and only after that the service went back to normal. Only wondering why since I am not o my paying for food but for service too.
Unfortunately I will not return.

Went there 3 times and each time facing the same issue...the service is disappointing. The waiters are not very reactive, each time I had to be one reminding them about my drinks and food orders, beg for more chips to be able to finish or simply enjoy my guacamole. Shame, the place is nice and food authentic, even approved by friends who are Mexican themselves! Don't feel like being hanging and left waiting again so probably will not go anymore !

I have been on a search for the best tacos in Dubai for years now and I might have found just the place. So a little disclaimer, this is a taco review. Another disclaimer; I am from Puebla, Mexico and I am a chef (so I know my s***). From the moment I saw the menu, I knew this place seemed promising from the wide range of classic tacos and a variety of ingredients, I knew these guys knew what they were talking about but I didn’t have my hopes up because I have been disappointed very much. The ambience was good given the current pandemic situation and the place was well decorated, just the right amount. 


Me and my sister decided to come to this place for Taco Tuesday, so it’s all you can eat tacos for a price with a limited menu, fair. We were greeted with very lovely and chirpy staff (that remained so until the very end of our stay) namely, Shveta and Cindel who always made sure we were well attended. We started with a Modelo michelada which was a sweet surprise (no, not the Modelo Negra, but still) I did not expect. We also got free totopos (home-made fried tortilla chips) with 3 different salsas: molcajeteada, morita and árbol. Some really good solid starters to open up your appetite and complimented my michelada very well. We tried all 8 tacos on the TT menu. We had our favourites which we ordered more than once; the pollo al pastor (chicken shwarma-style), costilla de res (beef rib), camarón estilo ensenada (tempura-style fried shrimp) and surprisingly the nopal taco (cactus/prickly bear with refried beans). Least favourites (and there was bound to be a couple) were the calabaza (zucchini) and picadillo (minced beef chipotle stew), but I still wanted more. So I ordered off the TT menu the classic street taco; lengua (beef tongue) and rajas poblanas (poblano chilli creamy stew) and did not regret it!


I was really impressed because there was a lot more I didn’t try but now I knew I had to come back for more and that’s when I knew I was sold on this place. The most authentic and damn solid tacos yet in DXB and for a reasonable price too (on Taco Tuesdays)!

We ate here last night for valentines/our anniversary meal.
Well so glad my husband booked here. The food, ambience, music, service were all amazing. Our waitress was Lorena, what a little gem she is. She guided us through the menu, and we decided on her choice of sharing a Molcajete.... was amazing. Chorizo, steak, giant prawns, stew, with small tortillas if you wish to make a wrap or even just mop up the gravy...Everything was so tasty, compliments to the chefs, but mostly to Lorena for making our evening, memorable, fun, and great conversation about Mexico.
Will defo be back, and already recommended to friends.

As we enter the restaurant the hostess check our temperature and we. Sanitized our hands. After a few minutes our server Crisanta Bugwac ask our orders, she was so patiently help us with our order since we are not familiar with the food in the menu. She recommended the best Mexican food we had on our dinner we had the Chicken Fajitas which is so good. The empanadas and taco we love it too. And the Tres Leches is absolutely excellent from the ice cream on top, frosting are amazing. The sponge cake was incredible.
During our meal our table was monitored, clearances of plates are on time. Staff are checking on us and that's amazing.
All over experience 5 star.

Restaurante ambiance was fantastic , we were attended to very quickly and we were greeted by Cindel, she was an amazing host really made us feel like her familia. (Ask for her when you get there, she'll take good care of you)
The great service didn't stop there she recommended us like what to order and wow it was fantastic food was fresh very delicious and refreshing different than other restaurants in Dubai.

As young men together, we usually dont stay in restaurants for 5 hours. But everything about that evening was simply amazing! The food never dissapoints, live traditional and interactive music, great atmosphere and an amazing staff. Yamila Elisabeth was the cherry on top that night. She was spontaneous, ensured special requests and cooking adaptions, enjoyed sharing cultural stories etc. I was especially amazed for her energy and genuine care for customers, even after 10 hours of duty that day. She is a real unique asset for the team and needs to be commended and rewarded. The Tablita team feels like family, you're always cared for with genuine hospitality, amazing high quality food and unforgetable evenings!

You can feel the warmth of the mexican crew in service and the authentic world famous mexican foods. Best place for dinning and drinking. The latina ambiance is always present from lights to music. The crew are very friendly like Diana, Carolina, Samuel and their chef Manuel.

Went there to celebrate our anniversary, Drunch was lip smacking, from start till the end the whole experience was quite delightful, AMAZING service, staff was very friendly, service was soo good that it enhanced our whole dine in experience. If you plan to go there do ask for the server Yamila Elizabeth, she knew what she was doing and did it very well, before serving the dish she would explain us all about the dish and made us feel very comfortable which inflated our experience at the restaurant. Looking forward for another occasion to go there and celebrate again. The food was DELICIOUS and do leave some room for the dessert you don’t wanna miss it.
