How is The Belle Rive Terrace rated?

We just enjoyed our second stay at the Belle Rive and every moment was magical. The best feature of the hotel was its amazing staff who were always so happy, welcoming and helpful. These delightful young people would be a valuable asset to any business....Each morning we enjoyed a fabulous, tasty, never ending breakfast overlooking the mighty Mekong River. The view, staff and delicious food enticed us back each lunch and dinner if we were in town. Our room was scrupulously clean and comfortable with a delightful view of the Mekong from our terrace which we enjoyed in the afternoon. Everything worth visiting in the old town was within easy walking distance. I will return one day to this memorable hotel and town. Wendy from AustraliaMore

Pleasant

The terrace is very nice and the view on the river just perfect. The food is pretty good, nothing exceptional. Service is rather efficient. A pleasant evening

A beautiful setting

The location makes this restaurant special. The gorgeous sunset on the Mekong is an additional reason to have a dinner there. The food was good and they serve reasonable wine by the glass. It was a very relaxing experience.

Best at Mekong riverside

Excellent food at the terrace down by the river .. we enjoyed a wonderful dinner with friends , food and staff are amazing , the view to Mekong river anyway … great place for a riverside dinner…

Beautiful view, great staff and tasty food

We went to this lovely little cafe overlooking the Mekong twice. The location is really lovely, the food was very tasty and varied and also very quick. The staff were funny and friendly and helpful. I was surprised it wasn't full of people but maybe...busier at night time, we went for lunch. I would recommend coming here for a relaxing bite to eat and a few drinks to take in the beautiful view.More

Hard to beat the sunset views here

It’s just a very relaxing place with a wonderful view, unbeatable sunsets, great staff and delicious but not fancy food. Around sunset time you might need to reserve a table.

Delicious food & beautiful view!

Exceptional service

Very friendly staff all around, and very good food. Beautiful view of the Mekong River. Some new friends brought their kids in the evening and they also seemed to enjoy the food. I really like the sausage (pictured), but we primarily stuck with the appetizers....Santiphab helped make our experience at The Belle Rive Terrace an exceptional one by making us feel welcome and more engaged with the culture. Traveler tip: The free breakfast here is done well, I loved the muesli, croissants, and bacon specifically, but it's all good. Great coffee from a local roaster, Saffron. We weren't trying to save money, but we over-ate because it was so tasty with such a nice view. Breakfast is served all day, which is pretty unbelievable value.More

One of the best hotel experiences

What makes your hotel experience great are not just the rooms, locations, grounds, etc. Those are all givens for a 4-5 star hotel. What separates one nice hotel from the others and the key to making your stay memorable is the service. In my 77...years of extensive travel, I would rate Belle Rive with one of the very best services and memorable stay I have had. Khun Vee and his staff are excellent and do whatever they can to meet your needs and wishes with a smile and with actual caring. They set a high bench mark for any other hotel to match making your stay there a memorable one.More

Sunset Heaven

Hard to find a better place on the planet to have a drink and watch the sun set. This gorgeous terrace overlooking the Mekong River serves especially delicious snacks and bespoke cocktails. Great service and a warm welcome, we kept going back.More

Attentive service and beautiful setting

A really great restaurant with a fabulous setting. Staff were friendly and attentive but not intrusive. A bit more expensive than on the Main Street but well worth it. Thank you to Chualee and all the other waiters who made a memorable evening.More

Our go to place in Luang Prabang
