Found this restaurant by chance and enjoyed the set lunch which changes daily. Beautifully presented 3 course lunch of salad (so good), pork laap followed by sticky rice with mango. Simple dishes but delicious. Came back several times for lunch which was always excellent. For dinner I can recommend the Mafe, a Senegalese dish of chicken in a thick peanut and tomato sauce - wonderful! The lady who runs the place is very friendly and welcoming, and her young team of waiters are attentive and eager to please. The restaurant’s design is lovely too.

We were strolling down this main thoroughfare in Luang Prabang lined with eateries of all sorts and browsing throught the menu's at the entrances. It was late afternoon and not very crowded and decided to move in. They had a set lunch as well as alacarte and as we found the lunch spread quite interesting we opted to try it out as one choice had an African dish of chicken with beans and cracked rice with an appetizer of fissh risoles . My partner had a Chicken Skewer . Both of these choices came out very well and the Chicken skewer was moist and juicy while the African( originating from Senegal) as per detailed in the main menu was also interesting although high on carb. The service was very friendly and the staff very helpful upto the lady boss who was interacting with the customers as though she knew them all personally. We were so pleased with the service and food that we made a return visit in the evening for dinner and some drinks and set until late have conversations with other tourists dining there. The prices are reasonable and the portions are sufficiently ample even for those with a big appetite. Excellent choice and worth a try, since they have a very varied menu from local Lao to French, African, Canadian and other continental selections.

Good multicultural kitchen, central location in main street. Friendly staff speaking poor english but closely supervised by foreign manager. I had a lebanese starter and indian main which came both with too little baked nan bread, but dishes were good and prices very acceptable. Clean toilet, but kitchen area looked a bit messy

Don’t know what to say but yes I do. Restaurant in a commercial nice french ambience. Only can say the truth. Owner obviously only interested in turnover not customer service. Waited for starters don’t mind waiting 45 minutes if food is good. Prawns came out like a load of mush sausage platter never arrived mains came butter chicken never seen a bit of butter in its life and french fries cooked in dirty oil. Know the pandemic has hit everyone but it’s the time to prove yourself now. Live music was horrific. The whole place not upmarket just an upmarket backpackers paradise at high prices.

What to say or what NOT to say?? I was stomached by your comments and so so surprised!!?? I remember well your table has you were right in front of the bar and we had a long chat. About restaurant during COVID, you shared that you own a restaurant in China that is #1 on trip advisor. I shared that we were #1 up to 2 days prior. You encouraged me that I would go back up to #1, while you were eating. During your meal, I did ask you how was the food and you replied that is was good. Having emptied your plates, I didnt doubt it!! And ?? Out of the blue you vomit this bad review. I do take bad reviews very seriously, has it is a way to improve, but yours I dont take it. I do remembered that you talked about been interested into opening a restaurant in Luang Prabang. Good luck with this!! Has it is a very nit community of restaurant owner that help each other. So my best advise to you, is be more honest!!! If the restaurant owner or even the waiter ask you how was your food, it is because they want to know. Of course, it is possible that the cook that made your garlic shrimps made a mistake, than I would like to know it. The butter chicken is stewed in advance, and I think since I only have compliments about our butter chicken, it might only be a personal taste from your part. Our restaurant make the original recipe from each countries, but of course there are many version of a recipe. I might suggest not to be hypocrite about your opinion or bad comments, have some balls and say it out loud. I also suggest that you dont eat all of your plate if you find the food so awfull, the owner might get the wrong idea if the plate is empty!! For the live music, each their own, the main front room was full because of the live music, but this all depends of your music taste. However when you came in, my waiter did explain about the live music and that you had 3 options, sitting in the main front room, to listen to the show, sitting in the backroom, where it was not as loud or sitting upstairs where it would be a lot more quiet. You have chosen the back area, but we could have moved you at anytime, if we had known that it was annoying you so much. I have to say, that the 1st day I got your review, I have reviewed our conversation over and over, has I didnt understand where in our conversation you thought that I wanted to turn over my tables very fast?? The table behind you was empty all night... I had at least 3-4 tables available upstairs and maybe only 1 or 2 in the front, but my restaurant holds 100 persons at the same time, so no, I dont try to turn over my table quickly has I have enough space to let you enjoy this beautiful restaurant has long has you wish. We even have board games to let you stay longer!! Like I wrote earlier, I normally take bad comments very seriously, but yours I cannot has it is only I believed jealousy, lies and hypocrisy!! Good luck to you and please please get some balls!!!

Very tasty and flavorful. We started with a local sausage entree which bursted with savoury taste and aroma. The sweet and sour fish as well as the fried eggplant and shredded pork was very good...although the pork dish was on the very salty side, and I don't shy away from salt. All and all, a pleasant diner.

Once again amazing! It is so fun to return to a place I love and have it even be better. I love this restaurant. I am a traveler and I did venture in this restaurant respects both. It’s not easy to have such a varied menu and yet have every delicacy be crafted to excellence. The service warm kind and efficient. I highly recommend this restaurant. If you’re lucky the owner will be there and be able to help you understand the city better.

Natalie has done an amazing joy starting this restaurant from scratch. The dishes are delicious and varied, from 5 or 6 different countries. Lovely table display and wall decor from different countries like Peru, Turkey, Thailand, and Senegal. We went twice! Some favorites were the Senegal dish, Turkish Mezze platter, Indian selection, and the chocolate fondant (a must!) We tried to convince Natalie to come open the same restaurant in our city! Thanks Natalie for the warm welcome.

How did this place get the #1 rating on Trip Advisor? My hotel cafe is way better... But I digress. Yuni Yupoun is a nice place, don't get me wrong. The atmosphere is nice and the staff, although a little overstressed when the place is near full, are really nice and helpful. They even have a "romantic" lighting setup when the sun goes down. The menu is small. They push their (watered down) cocktails at happy hour. It can be a bit much. I enjoyed the Pork Larb with Noodles dish. It was tasty, but reminded me how much I miss a really sparkly and spicy Larb in Thailand. To say the least, it was a little bland. Probably bland to match the requirements of all the European tourists! (I don't identify with that tribe, but Luang Prabang was full of them when I visited).

This place is in a good location and has a cozy atmosphere. Unfortunately, the service is slow with too many order mistakes. We first ordered Mango Daiquiris and while good, they took forever to arrive, and we spoke to 3 staff members to before we finally got them. The staff seem disorganized, poorly trained and it's difficult to get their attention and place orders. The pasta Carbonara arrived after 40 minutes, luke warm with a whole raw egg on top of it, which meant the pasta was covered in raw egg white. It was basically just spaghetti with cream and a raw egg. Such a shame as the place itself is very nice.

I enjoyed my dinner here relaxing out the front of the restaurant. Service was friendly. My dish was really delicious and even decided to enjoy some ice cream for dessert. Prices are fair for the great food!

We found this small place in a busy road during the night market. Having tried other restaurants in the neighbourhood, this place has a modern cosy atmosphere. The staff was serviceminded and attendive We had Thai red curry with steamed rice, chicken satay with fried rice, very tasty and just right on the spiciness ( red curry). The madarin juice and mojito were delicious.

We stopped by this cute restaurant by accident and decided to have dinner there. We loved the food! The staff was friendly, the food of high quality and the restaurant had a very welcoming, cozy vibe. By the end of our dinner, we got to know half of the restaurant as we started having nice conversations with other internationals and the owner of this amazing restaurant. We are only in Luang Prabang for a few days, but will definitely come back and try more of the delicious food choices available!

I had two dinners here during my recent visit, I went based on its rating and wasn't disappointed. Good range of food with some quality local options and a range of drinks available. And it is one of the restaurants where you can sit facing out to the main road in the old town and engage in people watching.

A lovely spot on the main street of luang prabang. We were so impressed with this place, that we came a second night on our three day trip. The staff are great and very helpful. The place offers a great atmosphere with a good array of drinks including cocktails, wines, variety of beer and cider. The food was wonderful with an array of dishes from Africa to India, Canada (the owners homeland) to local laos dishes. Our favourites were the laos sample starter no2 (includes meat and spicy dips - we ordered these both nights), the lamb pork salad and the red curry. A definite must!

We didn’t know that this restaurant is closed on Thursdays. So it was so disappointing for us to find here closed when we last visit a thursday afternoon. Because, before thursday, we’d visited here 4-5 times and had great dishes and hospitality each time. We liked especially stir fried noodle with seafood. We couldn’t say goodbye this restaurant and it’s staff since it’s closed last time. If they read us we want to send a mesaage: “Thank you for great dishes and service. We’ll meet again.”
