IMO, having been in LuangPrabang for 8 days, Saffron Coffee wins best Cup of Joe in town. And, interestingly, as great as the coffee and tea are, there is more Ti the winning ambience of the place. Maybe it is that it's a social enterprise,...maybe it's that it has a fabulous assortments of eats (including breakfast all day!), maybe it's that there are three very different seating areas (upstairs is air conditioned and great for digital nomads, ground floor is nicely shady coupled with two tables on the landing for those wanting more sun, and finally just across the street is additional seating for those that want the water view). When you are here, check it out. And buy some beans to take home!More

Amazing coffee spot! Worth walking 20 minutes from our hotel to get to. The oat milk caramel latte was the best I had in Luang Prabang. The staff had perfect English and were really sweet! Loved the profiles of the coffee farmers upstairs on the...wallsMore

Came here twice as it was so good. Bacon and egg bagel is excellent and only costs 46,000, with coffees priced at around 22,000. There is outdoor seating with a beautiful view of the Mekong. Staff are friendly and location is excellent. Highly recommend.

I went for a quick coffee and breakfast. I had a lao peanut chicken wrap which was good. It's more expensive than if you find a local place, but good if you just need that western coffee pick me up.

The Laos coffee here is really top notch. So smooth and good aroma. We order Americano, Ice mocha both excellent. For lunch we order Laos peanut chicken wrap which is really good and fresh. Highly recommended. The carrot cake is probably the best we had...in many years. This cafe and restaurant is in my opinion the best in Luang Prabang. We will return.More

We loved this place! Delicious coffee and good sized mugs. Great food and terrific staff. I enjoyed the granola and yoghurt breakfast. My husband loved the bacon and egg on bagel. Definitely pick up a chocolate bar while you are there!

Excellent coffee, friendly staff, with a lovely riverside outdoor area. They also conveniently open early, so it’s a good place to get a decent cup of coffee before a day of exploring

I stopped by here almost everyday while staying in Luang Prabang. And this was by far the best coffee, I didn't really taste the food except for their cakes which are also really great. I personally recommend their carrot cake.

They make an excellent flat white! We had one every morning and looked forward to it each day. The atmosphere in the cafe is very relaxed, and we enjoyed walking along the river with our drinks. Highly recommend!

Located nicely on the bank of the Mekong River, near the river-cruise departure point, Saffron is a 'must-visit' for coffee lovers visiting Luang Prabang. Saffron proudly try to champion locally sourced produce and offer a great selection of coffees, including beans to buy and take...away. The also offer a nice selection of cakes/pastries to enjoy while you watch the passing people and boats.More

Really nice cafe almost at the riverfront. I’m not a coffee man, but my friend really recommended the coffee so I bought some as a souvenir. It has been produced by small Lao farms. Food was tasty and staff friendly. Would go again!
