Came here twice as it was so good. Bacon and egg bagel is excellent and only costs 46,000, with coffees priced at around 22,000. There is outdoor seating with a beautiful view of the Mekong. Staff are friendly and location is excellent. Highly recommend.

Great coffee, as you know, and you can play with Barry the french bulldog who seems to always be there. The latte could be hotter. The carrot cake is pretty good too. The breakfast was not amazing. Bacon too salty and bread rubbish with not enough butter and had to go get salt because who the hell eats toast with unsalted butter? Savages?

Located nicely on the bank of the Mekong River, near the river-cruise departure point, Saffron is a 'must-visit' for coffee lovers visiting Luang Prabang. Saffron proudly try to champion locally sourced produce and offer a great selection of coffees, including beans to buy and take away. The also offer a nice selection of cakes/pastries to enjoy while you watch the passing people and boats.

Poor services towards a local customer. l ordered two coffees and waited with my partner for them to be delivered to our table. Upon observation I noticed other customers receiving complimentary glasses of water which wasn't offered to us, neither was any sweeteners which we both noticed other customers without requesting. I know is just small thing i don't mind about that. but is services standard so u should to do all the same with customers not only with foreigners because i work hospitality industry that i know how is be services customers and that time not alot customers in cafe just few people in there. thanks if the cafe see hope them will not let's it happen with other customers

Great place to sit and read and watch the river go by. Enjoy the coffees and really nice desserts or if you are extra hungry get one of their gourmet sandwiches you won’t be let down. Sit across the street and they will bring you everything you need, no pressure stay as long as you like and enjoy the scenery and free WiFi.

Several places in Luang Prabang have good coffee and decent Western-style treats; Saffron has the best coffee and the best Western treats. Saffron is also very friendly to the environment and the local economy. Saffron only sources beans locally, which affords a high degree of quality control. All serving tools are reusable except their recycled napkins: they use loose-leaf tea, bamboo straws, no plastic - you get the idea. There are multiple levels of indoor seating and a riverside terrace. It’s not the only place we ate in our week in LP, but we did go four times. Enjoy!

Really nice cafe almost at the riverfront. I’m not a coffee man, but my friend really recommended the coffee so I bought some as a souvenir. It has been produced by small Lao farms. Food was tasty and staff friendly. Would go again!

I stayed in Luang Prabang for 7 weeks and had breakfast at Saffron Coffee almost everyday. It is situated in a great location directly opposite the Mekong River. The staff are friendly and the service was excellent and most importantly great coffee! The coffee beans are sourced from local growers in the North of Laos and are roasted at the Saffron Coffee shop with all profit going back into the Laos community. A wonderful incentive.

We headed to Saffron coffee early (6 a.m. opening) before our hotel breakfast opened. Coffee is nice (many drink options available) and also enjoyed the oat peanut butter loaf (warmed up). No comfortable seating, But does have a garden area where you can relax. Reasonable prices

Great location and staff were very friendly! I ordered the big breakfast and I was a little disappointed, the food was room temp and they got our order wrong. I think I was maybe just unlucky as it seems a very good place!

The Laos coffee here is really top notch. So smooth and good aroma. We order Americano, Ice mocha both excellent. For lunch we order Laos peanut chicken wrap which is really good and fresh. Highly recommended. The carrot cake is probably the best we had in many years. This cafe and restaurant is in my opinion the best in Luang Prabang. We will return.

IMO, having been in LuangPrabang for 8 days, Saffron Coffee wins best Cup of Joe in town. And, interestingly, as great as the coffee and tea are, there is more Ti the winning ambience of the place. Maybe it is that it's a social enterprise, maybe it's that it has a fabulous assortments of eats (including breakfast all day!), maybe it's that there are three very different seating areas (upstairs is air conditioned and great for digital nomads, ground floor is nicely shady coupled with two tables on the landing for those wanting more sun, and finally just across the street is additional seating for those that want the water view). When you are here, check it out. And buy some beans to take home!

I specifically came here to buy lots of coffee as I had been drinking their excellent brew at my accommodation. They have a good range of coffees for sale but there was no one there I could discuss the brews in English. Secondly I would have been more than willy to pay for a sampling menus of different coffees. I bought a number of different blends but would have bought more if I could have tried some
