We decided to come thru Annapolis traveling south just to check it out and of course have some authentic Maryland crab cakes. This is a very quaint restaurant, but very busy. We arrived around noon and thought the wait would be much longer than it...More

Very good food and one of the better places in Annapolis to experience the local flavor. We were out-of-towners looking for a more lively experience, and we found it at the Boatyard. Thankfully, it was a beautiful evening and we had a table on the...More

The food is fine. Average. The noise level is so loud that if you want to enjoy conversation, forget about it. Some people love it- especially boaters because it’s close to the water and moorings. A great place to drink and be boisterous!

The well thought out nautical atmosphere and photos adds to the fantastic food. A great place to visit tucked away in Eastport.

The Boatyard has the best Full Moon Parties every time there is a full moon. They always have a great band playing at each party as well. The bartenders are quick to take your order and attentive afterwards as well. It's a place locals go,...More

We tried to go to a nearby seafood shack for oysters and crabs, but they were closed for the season. So glad they were! This place was amazing. Pricey, but great! From Oysters to the gumbo...yummy! Yes, that’s a huge piece of fried fish and...More

Great stop for lunch. The restaurant is noisy and packed, but crowd moves quickly. We walked in and immediately grabbed a spot at the bar despite the Sunday lunch crowd. The menu is diverse with a long list of daily specials. The food was fresh...More

We came for lunch on a busy weekend and had no trouble finding a table although getting the parking was much more difficult. We had the crab dip which was as they described, one of the best in Annapolis. It had a slight spice to...More

We are locals and like to stop in this restaurant occasionally. The food and service are consistently good. The only complaint we have is the noise level. Friday lunch was no exception. I had some oysters which were very fresh but, unfortunately the person that...More

I assume that crab cakes are $23 for a plate with 2. Best to check the menu online. I have discussed the crab cake quality with my friend who is a Maryland Girl. She says that the Boat Yard crab cakes are in the top 2 or 3... More

Description
The Boatyard is where local sailors, fishermen and lovers of the Chesapeake enjoy pint drinks, great crab cakes and the freshest local seafood. Specialties include smoked fish of the day (on premise), cream of crab and Maryland crab soups and an extensive list of crab and seafood specialties. The First Lady came from the White House to enjoy our crab cakes. The Boatyard has the most extensive raw bar in the area including a variety of oysters, clams, shrimp and mussels. The Boatyard receives awards for being most family friendly and having the best burger on the Bay. Its weekend brunch is the best in the area. The Boatyard is located in the historic maritime district of Eastport-a short walk or water taxi from Annapolis City Docks. Its photo boat films the local sailing races and shows them nightly. Named by Coastal Living, Sailing World and Sail Magazine as one of world's top sailing/boating restaurants.
