First time in Panama and had never heard of Giesha coffee before this trip. It was mentioned on some website and me and the tour operator casually start talking about it. He mentions that cheapest place to try this coffee is Panama and gives us a background on it. Then mentions how itās actually readily available right next to our Airbnb ā¦.. so just before our Panama Canal tour we drive back to old town to get a cup of coffee and he recommends this cafe . Now the minute we walk in we are greeted with the friendliest people , the owner just continues making us feel like we are guests in his home. The little dog is ofcourse a treat. Our guide has gone to find parking and we are being treated to another education on the coffee. I ordered the broccoli quiche because jetlag was still causing my appetite to be up and down. Once our coffee experience began jet lag was gone. Our guide joined us for a cup and a quiche as well. I would go back here their banana leaf steamed tamales smelled like heaven . The hospitality and warmth of this place will make me go back

Looking to try a cup of genuine Geisha coffee and disappointed to find most touted spot, owned by growers family was closed. Strolled a couple blocks to Casa Sucre and low and behold they had it. Shanny gave a great table preparation and history lesson on these unique beans, did a pour over at our table and described how best to enjoy the unique flavor nuances. Husband had the regular Panamanian cup, all were exceptional!! This place is open 7 days a week, so you can visit on Mondayās too!

We had brunch at this charming coffeehouse on multiple mornings during our one week stay. The tamales and breakfast sandwiches were delicious, the cappuccino was perfection, and the fruit juices were super sweet and freshly made-to-order. Our kids couldn't get enough! The owners and staff are so warm and welcoming... we absolutely loved it. We also stayed in one of the lovely Casa Sucre apartments for the week and really enjoyed it. The building is gorgeously restored and it's close to tons of shops and restaurants!

Every time I come here the American baristas are openly rude and socially clueless. I live in Panama, and I've come to Casa Sucre three times over two years. This last time, I asked how to get on the wifi (which they should already have told me when I got my drink) and the barista lady starts raises her voice even though she's two feet away, with a tone like she's blaming me for something, and yelling that I'm on the wrong network when in fact it's the right one she just has not given the password. They don't greet you when you come in and are standing at the counter and make no attempt to speak Spanish and presume you are a clueless gringo like them. I'm American, and these are entitled Americans just milking a location.

This is one of those places where you walk in and immediately feel comfortable, and happy. itās got a lovely ambience, and itās a great location, central, and the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the best coffee Iāve ever had. The breakfast sandwiches are delicious. The people that work there are so friendly and kind. Once we found this place, we just went there everyday. Why go anywhere else to start your day?

We were searching for a coffeehouse that served Geisha pour over coffee and found Casa Sucre. First, everyone who works there is super friendly and service oriented. Even while busy, they made every customer feel welcome. We loved the information provided while serving the geisha coffee-its quite the experience and worth doing. Geisha coffee tastes like no other coffee alive ever tired. Itās both fruity and floral. Do not ruin it with milk or sugar! Itās similar to drinking a nice wine. In addition to coffee, we absolutely LOVED our breakfast sandwiches. A bagel with different cheeses, egg and baconāyum! It was so good. The ambience of the place is cozy. We stayed for quite awhile and would definitely go back.

My husband is a 'Coffee Consosueur' and I prefer teas but decided to give the Geisha coffee a try. It was absolutely awesome! Someone did their homework and I see and taste why its rated #1 globally. As far as this coffee house, fantastic! I wish there was a bit more room, but my rating reflects the staff, the ambience, the quality of food and beverages and the location, cleanliness and style. I am from Northern California so I am picky and particular about attention to detail and how I feel walking up, through the door and getting served while being treated like an individual customer. I spent just about every morning relaxing in this cute, comfortable cafe. I don't like modern or sterile looking coffee houses, so this was my hometown feel place. I highly recommend it. My family is from Panama so I've been all over Panama šµš¦ and find this place to be one of the best to visit. Fyi, the pics in the other January 2023 review are great and highly accurate.

Cute cafe in Casco Viejo. Good prices . Coffee was good. The gluten free quiche was dry and small. I was disappointed because reviews raved.

Unfriendly staff with poor knowledge of specialty coffee making. Would invest 9 USD for a cup of Geisha somewhere else in Panama.
