About
The Wallace offers not just Scottish delights, but British fare in general, which includes the most delicious Fish & Chips (of course with mushy peas), Bangers and Mash with creamy onion gravy, and Cottage Pie, a heart-warming staple from the old country. Come for the Whisky Wings, and stick around for the Sticky Toffee Pudding! A good selection of craft beers is available as well as an excellent array of single malt whiskies.

Had two meals here when we wanted something more in the Pub fare and not a sports bar. Good selection of beverages the service is attentive and the food product is a good value. We met the owner who operated an establishment in Fl.
If you are staying at the Global it is most convenient. Will be back

We found this place prior to our trip. When we entered the small quaint restaurant/pub we were greeted by the most amazing manager, Angelo. This gentleman spoke fluid English and provided the most detailed information about the city. As it results we returned two more times during our stay. The food was remarkable and the bartender, Oliver, was amazing. My recommendation is to get the fish and chips. They use sea bass for their fish and it's unbelievable! The manager Angelo provides a highest quality of service and makes you feel as if you are in the United States at the Ritz-Carlton. The service and the food were well above high quality marks. If you come to Panama you must stop into the Wallace.

I have been to this pub 3 times since 2016. Every time a bit different according to the time of day. but this last trip was the best. They had a great happy hour with a English speaking staff. Angelo was super cool and very up beat and Knowledgeable of the menu. he talked me into the fish and chips, and although I don't eat fried fish it wash quite satisfying. He mentioned they are thinking about a grilled fish option in the future, I will be back in January to see. Highly recommend this pub especially if you like sports and great service. By the way. I had fish and chips and 3 mixed drinks for under $24.00. In Panama city that's rare.

I was staying in Panama City as part of a costa Rica tour group and we were drawing blanks in our quest to find a decent inexpensive place to eat in the evenings. Fortunately we came across this unassuming pub on a main street. We made a booking, they found us a quiet corner and then provided us with an excellent evening. The food was good, the beer better and the friendliness and courtesy from the staff outstanding

Just arrived from CA and my friends took me to this great little place. From the moment I walked in, I was pleasantly surprised by the warm atmosphere and attentive, welcoming staff, and completely impressed with the authentic British food. The theme was consistent from the decor to the beautifully displayed entrées. The waiter completed the experience with thorough knowledge of the menu, offering recommendations since I couldn't decide. I went with the famous fish and chips, which is an absolute must! I also loved, loved, loved the Scotch egg. Delicious! For dessert I had the sticky toffee pudding...to die for! Amazing, fun,and overall an incredible experience! Top notch! I've got 2 weeks here and I'll definitely be back. Thank you for a wonderful evening!

Visiting from Los Angeles and this was our first choice for dinner. Upon arrival, we were greeted with sincere hospitality and energetic servers who spoke both Spanish and English. The ambiance was quaint and personal, but still provided the traditional Scottish pub vibe. The fish and chips were the highlight of dinner, the biggest piece of fish I’ve ever seen! The scotch eggs (forgot to take a picture) are an absolute MUST HAVE for a starter… we could have ordered this for dinner itself! We also got the Chicken Curry which is served with multiple sides, making every single bite a different flavor. For dessert we tried all three and the Sticky Toffee was our favorite. The ice cream is also homemade (you can tell). Servers were attentive with both food and drinks, our water glasses were NEVER empty.
Will be back again to try the sliders and order another round of the Scotch eggs!! Perfect experience for a tourist, local, or any person with a strong appetite for delicious Scottish-infused cuisine.

We've been to the Wallace 2 times now and both times have been fantastic experiences. The service from Angelo and Candella is amazing. We walked in and Angelo remembered us by name immediately. The fish and chips is really fresh, light and crispy. The chef made us a special appetizer of smoked salmon and in house pickles that was delish! This is a new regular spot for us every time we are in the city.

This is FAR from a real British restaurant. I’m fact if this was in the UK no one would visit. The food is unbelievably substandard and so is the service. As a British person I was excited to go and have some food from home. Everything I ordered had zero taste. I do not understand how on earth this place has five stars unless they’re positing their own reviews. But there is absolutely no way this place is anything more than at best two stars. If you are looking for bland food, with mediocre service in a place that’s incredibly outdated then this is for you. With all the good quality restaurants around the city I have no idea how this place is in operation. There is no way a ‘real’ British person would say this was good, absolutely no way. As a British person myself I was completely embarrassed knowing just how amazing our food is and what a terrible job they do. I completely scratch my head at how this has five stars. Do not waste your time or money it’s not even close to being a real British restaurant.

I'm a regular and for a reason. The food is good, hearty, and Scot. You'll find everything from Scotch Eggs to gluten free Fish & Chips. The service is excellent and the burgers are the best! The dining room is a step out of the tropical heat into a tartan plaid paradise laden with laughter. As a visitor to Panama City you'll find the menu a change of pace from our delicious ceviche's. As a guest there the owners Robert and Stephanie, have a keen eye for culinary and service talent making this one of the most welcoming pubs in the city.

The Wallace is one of those places you’re happen to discover especially in a non-English speaking country. The food are all English bar staples, and all are prepared excellently, which compliment the restaurant’s many brews. However, the standout here are the attentive staff, that will make sure you’re adequately taken care of. The star of this staff is no doubt Angelo, who made me feel extremely at ease, with his personality and knowledge of Panama, which made my solo adventure even better! If you’re in Panama craving something slightly different from the norm of bars and restaurants, you won’t be disappointed!
P.S. They have a beer made by Iron Maiden which rocks! You can ascertain the usage of a pun for yourselves!

My mom and I stopped in to the Wallace on a busy Saturday night without reservations, and the staff of the Wallace were nothing but extremely accommodating. It’s a very small place and they had no tables but that didn’t stop them from making space for us to dine. Angel was extremely accommodating, warm and welcoming. The servers we had were also extremely polite and helpful. Moreover the food was excellent. I had the Wallace fries and my mom had a vegetarian dish that she loved. Our White Russians were stiff and not skimpy in the slightest and the sticky toffee was incredible (from presentation to scraping the plate! The homemade ice cream was incredible). We can’t say enough good things about the Wallace and will try to be back before we leave!

If you're looking for a bar/restaurant with a nice, chill vibe, The Wallace is a good place to check. It has a full bar and the menu consists of traditional Irish dishes and a very relaxed ambience. The staff is very friendly and attentive, never had to look for anyone if I needed something. I want to give a special shout out to Maxiris and Oliver. Super cool people who are very attentive and great conversationalists. Also, for foreigners who may not speak Spanish at all or are a bit weak in the language, all of the staff speak English :-)
Next time I'm in Panama City, I will definitely be making a stop or two at The Wallace.

We had been meaning to visit the Wallace since before COVID and now that we've been, we are sad we waited so long. First visit we just had the smoked fish dip and cider, second visit we had the fish and chips (and cider). Outstanding service on both visits from Eric (I think? I'm so sorry I forgot his name because he was wonderful) and Abdiel. If you've been to many restaurants in Panama you know that usually service is barely adequate. Both of these gentleman spoke great English, were extremely friendly, kept our waters full, and just took great care of us in general.
I love that they use corvina (the local sea bass) for the smoked fish dip and the fish and chips. I'm not a beer drinker, but I love a good cider. I was particularly excited to see that they weren't just offering the typical Angry Orchard cider (which is too sweet to drink with food, imo) and I really enjoyed the Belhaven cider with my fish and chips.
We are taking a visiting friend there for dinner tonight and I'm anticipating another wonderful experience.

My husband and I came across The Wallace by accident. And I'm glad we did. Upon entering the building we were greeted by Angelo who was very welcoming. The ambiance if the place made me feel like I was back in Ireland. The food was amazing! I had the Wallace chicken and my husband had the chicken curry, both were great dishes. Angelo was very attentive, and shared his knowledge of the city, which we greatly appreciated. Would go back in a great beat and recommend it to anyone.

My husband and I came here for dinner and it did not disappoint. Our waiter was very friendly, spoke excellent English and was able to give great recommendations from the menu. We ordered the scotch egg, Stout flavored Wings, blue-cheese burger and Fish & Chips. The drinks were also great we had Caipirinha & Lemon Drop martinis. I highly recommend having dinner at the Wallace, you won’t regret it.
