Very nice place, but...

Very nice setting, we couldn't find a seat at the rooftop, so we seated outsude at the park which was cery nice. Food great considering we are vegetarians and the waiter suggested dome plates that were delicious, but when we got the check they charged us everything as meat or seafood. I think that is very tricky, ask for prices before ordering ifvthey sre not on the menu. Waiter was amazing, he did not want to be tipped!!! Ofcourse we did. He was amazing!

NY Eve - good choice

My girlfriend and I booked here early as we wanted to make sure we had a place to go for NY Eve when we were in Panama City. We read online this was a good spot that was not over populated by a younger crowd. When we arrived in Panama City, it was rather clear this is a very well known place. We paid $150 to hold a NY Eve table on the rooftop - and this was applied as a credit towards your tab. Not sure we properly handled this, but we had a great time and the service was awesome. I think the cover price scared away some of the younger crowd, but this was still a lot of fun. Great view with 360 degree view of all the fireworks going off around the city.

Very nice spot in the middle of Casco Viejo

We had a very favorable experience in our time at casa casco, the place includes several restaurants in the same building and there are also some tables in the square in front of the building, we chose to sit at the outdoor tables, despite the weather. The service was good, the prices commensurate with the quality of the food and drinks. It is undoubtedly one of the best places to spend a pleasant time in casco viejo.

the worst establishment

the worst establishment in all of panama. welcomed with temperature measurement without asking our opinion, no smile from all the staff, we serve a beer for 5 dollars in a cardboard glass. when we leave, we make signs to show us the exit as if we were plague victims. guys, go take a lesson the right way ... you took the big head! don't forget where you come from.

Great dinner at a great location

Loved our dinner here as a group. We had tables outside and had overall very good meals. Mine was the gnocchi which was scrumptious. Everyone had a mix of dishes, pasta, ceviche, soup, seafood risoto, the only dish the was underwhelming was the canelon de cordero (small for the cost for sure).Service was good but a tad slow. It's a great location for people watching, though being very close to the street the traffic fumes get to you a bit. Had a great sangria as well.

Amazing Food & Presentation

This is a must visit. We were hosted by Roberto who spoke English and spanish. He helped us with our menu options and provided great insight. I am a seafood lover and the menue had many options for fresh vegetables and seafood. My friend and I were just at awe with the presentations of other's orders around us. The food came out hot and beautiful. I had an octopus and scallops dish which tasted ocean fresh. The presentation was amazing and the food was absolutely divine. There was not a long wait and we were provided with some plantains or yuca fries with a sauce that was even more amazing as we waited for our entree. Much thanks to the chef and to Roberta for an amazing experience. I will definitely make this part of my next visit.

Too loud! Everyone on their phones

Music on the rooftop is absolutely unnecessarily loud. NONE of the patrons at the tables are talking to each other. I think the point of the volume is to attract people down on the street to want to come up but not nice here, it’s quite uncomfortable. Good thing because they overbook Reservations so they must want to turn the tables quickly. I ordered a tapas with brisket on a fried potato ball. It was flavorless but had an interesting mix of textures to it. The Wait staff seemed very disorganized. Topping off waters, ringing menus, starting an order, checking on our table, delivering the check… no one seemed to know whose duty was whose. As such, waiting for the regular course of a meal event to take place while not able to hear my date made this quite an unpleasant experience for dining. If just coming to see fireworks or something, it’s perfect.

Great food great service great

Great food great service great views. Enjoyed lunch on the roof top terrace at Casacasco. The views to the city, the canal and the ocean beyond are dramatic and the food is really good too. Freshly prepared tacos with tuna and a trio of local tortillas filled with chicken fish and pork were delicious.. Great lunch with a backdrop of Pacific Ocean breezes .

Are we now redefining the word “view”? If, on the top floor of this establishment one can see the Pacific Ocean from the distance though obstructed from the rooftop parking lot peppered with cars and that is now considered a “view”, then God help us! The views are clearly overrated, the service exceptionally slow and the music so loud you can’t wait to leave. Two cocktails and two appetizers for $58.00 and one feels robbed. We had a five star meal at RosaNegra two appetizers, entrees and a glass of wine each for $102.00 and it was a fabulous meal.

Not worth the price

The food had good flavor. Service is slow, but manageable. Wife had the beef brisket which was over cooked, but the spices were good. I had the seafood soup. Only had 5 mussels, 3 scallops and 3 shrimp. The scallops and shrimp were on the larger size. The lobster bisque was good but it was not even a cup. Even though the food had good flavor, we both walked away hungry. When the price is considered $25+ for each entrée, it was not worth it. Staff was not attentive in any way.

Expensive for average quality

Called in for lunch with my wife whilst visiting the City. Going in the lift to the rooftop terrace the place has a modern decor with a contemporary feel that wouldn't be out of place in any major City. Looking through the drinks menu, I opted for a Cafe Latte and a Sprite, only to be told that Coffee isn't served on that floor, and can only be purchased on the ground floor, no sure if I just got a lazy waiter or this was the rule so the rooftop kept the "Hip" vibe?! Only around 12 people on the terrace so it's not like they were over run and could've easily catered for my request for Coffee. Instead I just received a sprite. When your charging $4 for a soft drink, it really shouldn't be served warm in a can! Extremely poor! My wife opted for the Sangria which was pretty much as it should be, no complaints that side. Food - a tale of two halves...... The Sushi based Salmon pizza was excellent. A thin crispy base that didn't resemble any type of bread but was tasty, crunchy and carried the topping perfect. Salmon, cream cheese and various garnish not only made this look appetising but lasted great, we both enjoyed this to the point where we'd happily recommend it. Chicken wings - $16 for 4 chicken wings that were served luke warm, needs to be revised! The chicken wings were clearly cooked previously and a half hearted attempt to Hest these whilst keeping crunchy to the outside was a drastic failure. Extremely disappointed and definitely felt as though these did not justify the heavy price tag. Overall a nice location with a great viewpoint of the Pacific side of the Panama Canal. Would we go back or recommend......unfortunately NO!

Dreamed date night out

After 6 months locked up, we had out first dinner out. The menu was really easy to read, amazing options, great service and all precautions taken by the staff to make us feel safe during these crazy times of Covid19. We had dinner in the plaza and we brought out dog (our son) with us. That they let him be there was one extra plus of the night. Thank you for an amazong experience.

Amazing View, mediocre food

We had dinner and drinks here while in Panama City. If you're not looking for an amazing meal, then this place is wonderful. The view is incredible, the drinks are great. We were underwhelmed by the food which was just regular pub food. Not bad by any means, but neither imaginative nor local. The staff was super while we were there. There are actually 3 or 4 restaurants as part of the whole but we only went to the roof top terrace. The building itself is really interesting. You do have to climb one flight of stairs to get to the roof top but the other restaurants all have elevator access.

We wanted a place in Casco Viejo that has it all…rooftop, creative dishes and special ambiance. Casa Casco was perfect and the central location is ideal for views and walking around the beautiful neighborhood. Our server Denilson made the experience extra special by taking such good care of us and always with a lovely, genuine smile. We dined on the first floor to sample the seafood menu and we were pleased with all the variety and interesting uses of local ingredients. After our meal we went upstairs to the rooftop for an after dinner drink to take in the views and lively atmosphere.

Beautiful views from the Rooftop!

We were seated on the rooftop, overlooking Herrera Plaza. The view of Casco Viejo with the cityscape in the background was spectacular! The service was spot on. We had the sushi, which was beautifully presented in a small wooden boat. There was a DJ playing up tempo music which, to my taste, was just a little bit to loud for intimate conversation. Overall, an excellent experience. I would recommend it to anyone.
