We ate a few meals (breakfast and dinner) at Navo during our stay at the Intercontinental. It is a very comfortable restaurant with great ocean views through the palm trees. Food was very tasty (highlight was the desserts at dinner time). Service was pretty good.

Incredible dining and Fijian experience. Not only is your view a beautiful lagoon and swaying palm trees, but you have the most amazing and professional hospitality. We dined here 3 nights in the weeks stay and celebrated our baby moon and my 30th birthday of which the staff together all sung ‘happy birthday’. On our final night we dined in the secluded cabana by the ocean, served by Joanna, and had the most amazing salmon and lobster. The team of staff sent us off with the most wonderful good bye song. Thank you Navo for being the perfect final night of this tropical paradise. Special thanks to a Bjorn and his team also!

We had dinner at Navo 4 times during our 7 day stay and would have to say the service, staff and food was amazing. The menu is extensive (as is the wine list) and the view through the palm trees overlooking the ocean was special indeed. The only bad thing I would say about the restaurant is that they don't handle negative feedback very well. My partner ordered the chicken one night and it arrived looking processed, bland and was not hot at all. After telling the staff and having that passed on to the floor manager, we were approached to ask if everything was OK. We repeated our issue and did not even receive an apology or any form of compensation. Not that we were looking for any at all but it would have been the appropriate customer service to either comp the dish or at the very least, bring us a round of drinks. Like I said, we weren't after a "freebie" but an apology or recompense wouldn't have gone astray given the specialty dining venue they claim to be. Apart from that instance though, the experience at Navo was great and the staff (Luisa, Merewalesi, Wainikiti and Wati) all made sure we had an enjoyable experience. We also went to Navo for breakfast and the buffet and menu selections were outstanding. Special mention to Jessie who looked after us with a smile and personality that was so warm and welcoming. I recommend giving Navo a go during your stay, just don't order the chicken.

Came here three times during my stay at the hotel and was disappointed in the different service standards here compared with Toba, Kama and Sanasana. The service here was delivered to a much lower standard. For my first visit they lost my reservation despite two follow ups to confirm before arrival, food was great and service also good. We have two kids so went during the “kids accepted time”.I needed to really insist they seat me at the time I booked vs the missing reservation that suddenly became my problem. The second visit was during the Japanese taste of Natandola and we arranged to have someone watch the kids as we wanted to dine at 8pm - a wonderful evening but to my surprise we could have bought our kids as everyone else had. The last time the service was terrible. What a difference in experience compared with prompt and attentive service else where in the resort. Repeated follow ups for drinks, no napkins, mistakes with the order, and generally sub par service. Food was great though but the really sub standard service was a big let down. In addition I took my 10 and 12 year old - when I placed a reservation they didn’t want to let me book as it was adults only, when I spoke about the prior night they took my reservation and unsurprisingly there were kids everywhere including babies in the restaurant. And finally on checking out with a large amount of people waiting in reception and the phone timing someone came over and chose to answer the phone rather the talk to customers right in front of them! I would suggest you don’t go here with high hopes for good service, you do not trust the reservation process and you should also expect that this isn’t adults only and kids are allowed anytime. If there was one thing for management to focus on it would be on service here - good food and location amazing. Only three reviews since covid times and all seem the same so it seems like it’s systemic. I have reviewed the resort separately as 5/5 and won’t let the Navo experiences detract from the overall but I imagine for some it could be an issue!

Amazing how they ruin my evening in Fiji. Oversalted dish with daily catch (i assume those two and half mussels were caught today even though one of them haven't opened, they compensated it by salting it). Over Spiced and dried lamb shank... Duck confit overdried... I need to know how they can do it. But they will ask for dress code... Seriously?

My girlfriend and I decided to book dinner to the intercon at Navo last night. We called them from our hotel scheduling the time and we mention the allergies of my girlfriends as well which are shellfish, coconut( pretty common on Fiji cuisine) and nuts. All of them can send her on shock anaphylactic. Once at the reception the girl in charge confirmed us the table and the fact she was aware of the allergies previously mentioned. We sat down welcomed from Noah( one of the waiter and very sweet person). Then another waiter came to take the order( we mentioned the allergies again of course) so we decided to get two tuna crudo and one scallops as entree, one risotto mushroom for her and a lobster for me. Note: I’m a chef so whatever I see on a dish I can guess what it is. Very quick the entree are on our table, the bread came later but not a big issue for us. The scallops were in the middle to share and being a hot entree supposed to be consumed before the tuna crudo. I saw a white creamy sauce underneath the scallops which ringed a bell straight away, lucky I tasted before my girlfriend, cos that sauce was actually made with COCONUT. Very alarmed I called the waiter straight away to ask why we have been served a dish with ingredients that were not written in to the menu. The waiter answered saying the menu mentioned that. In that moment I felt stupid ordering something that could poison my girlfriend so I asked again the menu to double check how damn I was. Surprisingly it was not mentioned and the waiter justified her self saying the chef didn’t say anything about the change of an ingredient. Of course, I invited to talk to a manager but no one came at our table to apologize. Then of course if you are close to risk your life, no one would never enjoy the rest of the dinner. Plus, the quality of the risotto and the lobster were very poor, honestly I was expecting much more. We asked the bill skipping also the dessert to avoid any other sweet surprise. At The end the restaurant manager showed up, he came just at the end apologizing about what happened and to tell us that the scallops and ONE OF THE TUNA, were taking off the bill. I’m a chef working in a two hats restaurant, I know there are procedures about things like this. One of them is offering the entire dinner to the customers usually for lack of negligence and invite them to come again for a better service. In restaurants like those the communication and consistency supposed to be the key to succeed. Unfortunately intercontinental is still far from it.

As a foodie, I really wanted to like this restaurant but had a disappointing dinner that kept me from returning during my stay. The first mistake I made was eating between 5:30-7:30pm when kids are allowed in the restaurant. I was seated near the grass for a great sunset view, but the ambiance was ruined by a huge group with screaming kids running all over the restaurant and in between guest tables. The second mistake I made was in ordering the duck entree. It was overcooked and very dry—not juicy like I’m used to duck being cooked. Since this is the fine dining option at the resort, it is hopeful that they can improve their offerings.

Booked for my last dinner at the IC Fiji and was expecting a top-notch experience based on other comments I have read online, but for the cost, it was unfortunately a let down for me. The service staff seemed disinterested and rushed throughout the meal, like they wanted to hurry the diners out (and it was not very busy). Servers never showed up to the table without being flagged down and didn't seem to know what they were doing...perhaps new? I found I was doing most of the work myself, from pouring water to clearing my plate to the other side of the table after I was finished eating This experience was very different to all other staff at the resort, from check-in to departure, which was terrific. Might have been an off-night, but was overall an expensive and disappointing experience.

This is a fantastic resort for those wanting to relax and unwind in paradise. The beach is stunning, the spa, rooms and pools are great, but it’s the staff and the Fijian culture that makes this place special. There are improvements that could be made, hiring local snorkelers to get in the sea and remove the rubbish and plastic guests leave behind should be a priority. Including more Fijian music and songs on the live music playlists and more cultural entertainment would be great. The resort should also better educate guests about not walking all over the coral reef. During our most recent stay we went paragliding over Natadola with Captain Jack and the excellent crew. It was an amazing experience and we enjoyed the time out on the water and the view from the air. We think the resort is good value for money with an incredible workforce ensuring guests have a great stay.

I was looking for the perfect way to propose to my fiancée when I came across an intimate dining experience at Navo. The sunset dining experience offered a truly beautiful setting along the beach front. The food and wine pairing option was a great inclusion. The waiter was very friendly and helpful making our experience unforgettable.

Bookings are a "must", there is a dress code. After all, who want to see T-shirts and tongs at dinner, even on a seaside resort ? The staff ? Perfect. The food ? Mostly tasteless. In some cases, if you close your eyes, it would be hard to know what you eat. Guess it's because it is meant to be sophiticated, so no salt or pepper on your table. Portions ? Like many such places, the higher the price, the smaller the portions... One exception: an remarkable chocolate desert ! Went twice during our stay. First time to discover, second time to confirm we could avoid a third.

The restaurant is very lovely with a stunning beach outlook. We enjoyed breakfast here and we also had dinner here a few times. Our first dinner was so lovely with an ultimate fine dining experience the food was 10/10. The staff are also all very lovely and the service was amazing. They also assisted us for my mother in laws bday and set up the private dining room, they helped us decorate, arrange the cake, sung happy birthday and made it an amazing night for her! THANK YOU

Such a shame, this was our first night meal and what a disappointment. Service was very poor and the food even more so. I ordered the chicken and now I know why it crossed the road, to get dehydrated in the heat. The poor old bird was dryer than a leather sandal left in the searing sun in the Sahara, totally inedible. As I mentioned, the service was very poor, so no check back on how the food was until it was time for the check. No one was around or remotely interested when I wanted attention. Water / drinks not fulfilled. No apology. Never visited again during our stay.

Staff lovey( I suspect under paid). Feel so bad but if it hadn't been for the waiting staff night would have been so so bad. Setting was lovely and children’s menus look great. Sadly we will be looking at other options next time. Worst thing for moi is that it ruined ruined my 30 year annivary not that I suspect this hotel chain cares at all.

This is a beautiful location with excellent food. The staff are universally lovely and helpful. The names I remember are Pio and Wati (sorry if I have misspelt that), but everyone was brilliant. We dined here three times during our stay, and each time was great. We purposely booked in at 5:30pm for dinner so we could watch the sunset, which was stunning each time. Only tiny issue was not everything on the menu and the wine list was available, but in an island nation that is to be expected, and I only mention it so other visitors know to be tolerant. If you can do the couples' cabana experience, do it. We will definitely go back.
