We were on a family trip and stopped here for lunch. There is a range of Indian and Thai dishes that caters for all tastes. The staff were very competent and our meals arrived quickly. There is a range of drinks available and I ordered fresh orange juice. When the first meals arrived I saw the waitress with the bag of oranges heading to the bar to make the fresh juice. The meal was very tasty and the price was reasonable. We will definitely go back again when we return.

The range of offerings was notable and we found none that really disappointed. Breakfast options that we enjoyed included omelets, French toast, and messy pot. Particularly good were the grilled wagu and stir-fried special, the sizzling beef and chicken, butter chicken, green papaya salad, thali, and both veggie pizza choices. The Pineapple Prawns was a bit too sweet but came in an attractive presentation. The samosas were a quite spicy, but filing and reasonably priced as were the other items on the menu. Garlic fish and pad Thai were less appetizing. Bug repellent made meals more comfortable. It was also wise to come early for meals, especially on weekends, otherwise seating could already be taken by locals and tourists who drove to get there.

We have eaten at Sitars twice in two nights with very fussy eaters (kids). Both nights our entire family has been raving about how good the meal was. The staff are very friendly and all smiles. We have tried different curries and pad Thai and all of it was exceptional. Highly recommend. We will probably be back again tomorrow night.

So I visited a few months ago. We had gone for a hike at the sand dunes and needless to say were very hungry. Since Sitar is well known in Fiji, we opted for food here. (I am a local) So I have had many a variety of Indian dishes in Fiji and the food that I ate here was worse than the small curry shops that are in Fiji. It seems they pre-cook their chicken a certain way - most probably with slight tumeric. And as a new order comes, they just mix it in the sauce. The dishes that we ordered for chicken had not absorbed the actual sauce and therefore we could see that the chicken looked and tasted the same in both dishes. Also we ordered a lamb dish and it had barely any meat. If you are a local and are used to eating authentic Indian dishes then please do not go here. The staff was okay and the manager was pretty friendly and nice. The food not so much.

A large smart-looking restaurant near the roundabout in Korotogo. The sea-view from the terrace was pleasant and the service was very good. We had two of the Indian veg curry ‘side dishes’ with rice and roti, which were only slightly smaller in size than the full serves, and more than we could eat. We enjoyed both dishes, particularly the palak paneer. With three beers the cost was FJD38. Nothing to complain about here. We also enjoyed a pizza here on a separate occasion. The branch of Sitar in Nadi was not such a pleasant experience. The view was of a busy city intersection and the Thai food was not good.

We utilised the restaurant on 11th June, for lunch. Ordered India food (tandoori chicken and butter chicken with roti and naan. The butter chicken was bland in taste. additionally, the richness in the gravy was not there. The tandoori chicken was nicely done but wasn't flavourful. FIJI roti and plain naan were both nicely cooked (soft textured). The service was okay and we were served with a smile. The person managing the bar was very attentive and knowledgeable. The restaurant also offer Thai food which was recommended to us by a lot of people and hotel staff. Maybe we went on a bad day, but the food we got wasn't worth the money.

Loved the setup of the place. Wooden tables with open windows and options to seat whether inside or out. You get to enjoy the view of the ocean right opposite while enjoying a fine cuisine. Food was great. The vegetarian dishes tasted much better than the meat. The mango lassi was the best I have tasted so far.

We had dinner and breakfast at sitar last week. I'd say their authentic Indian range is pretty standard but not too bad. LAMB BHOONA was way better than chicken tikka butter masala. Don't waste your money on dessert, it's not worth it. The banana cake seemed dry and stale and the tiramisu was nowhere close to being tiramisu. The breakfast was way better (you'd might ask for S&P to season it well yourself). Hot beverages were really nice though.

The service was not great here, hard to get staff attention to serve us and we did not feel welcome. I bought a cocktail (margarita) and it was watery and undrinkable. The vegetarian curry’s we ordered were absolutely delicious but the Thai cashew dish was very unusual and didn’t seem right.

Service from staff was friendly. Sitting area was very spacious but limited parking when full. We went during lunch so it was quite busy. It's conveniently located at the roundabout in Korotogo so you can stop over for a quick bit or drink without worrying about going too far off route Nadi/Suva. Price range is a little expensive but food is amazing! It's also next to the main road and right now the road works can get quite dusty. All in all, we enjoyed the short stop for the tasty Lamb Curry with rice <3

Not as great as anticipated. The only thing good would be the sea view at this location. The food is not as one would expect for the prices demanded. I could count the pieces of chicken in my bland dish of gravy (even that was not that much). The naan could have more flavor it is being called a garlic naan! The service is very much lacking all around! I guess their EFTPOS terminal was reflecting the service that the crew delivered (illegible due to printing issues! ) If you take the money, provide the food, service and receipt PROPERLY! The young waitresses were trying, it could be seen but all that which is lacking, is definitely NOT their fault! Hygiene is not a strong point at this joint! Unless the management want to improve on the food, staffing, hygiene and overall service, I do not think I will be visiting again nor recommending it to anyone as well. Good thing we stopped ordering anything further to the ones we did.

We enjoyed a curry night whilst staying at a resort down the road. It was pretty good. We had an interesting take on a palak paneer (I suspect that they used tomato in the recipe), and a Fijian style goat curry. Both were very tasty and the goat curry is pretty spicy. Service was pretty good too. Vinaka.

The Sitar restaurant is a very ordinary restaurant. The food was mediocre. That's why we give three stars. But we were very pleased with the five star service we received from Finau, the waitress. It was a very warm conversation. She gave us all the necessary recommendations and told us in detail about each of the dishes we ordered. This is what we remember - her kindness. Huge thanks to her for a pleasant evening.

Beautiful location. Beware the food looks NOTHING like the picture. Ordinary service. The reason for the rating was because of the iced latte that I ordered. It had bits of coffee beans and what I think was soy sauce and vinegar in it.

Sitar never disappoints! I've been to Sitar Sigatoka a couple of times and damn they don't seem to disappoint at all. From the service to the food I'd recommend this restaurant to food lovers out there. They have a wide range to choose from, and the guys from Sri Lanka by the bar are way to cool. If you're running late or up for a few minutes of relaxation with a great ocean view, this is the place to be. Check it out!
