Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Wow! I must say the food has definitely improved. Have been several times to your Nadi and Suva outlets, this review is for Suva The food was absolutely delicious and has a perfect fushion of local and international cuisine. The deserts are to die for,...thoroughly impressed and great way to end the evening. There were extremely accommodating also as a friend of mine required something off the menu due to dietary requirements and they humbly accepted which was fantastic Definitely recommend and will returnMore

Came twice. Delicious food and amazing nonalcoholic drinks - loved the spiced tea the best. Kids and parents enjoyed their meals. Worth taxiing to!

We found this place by accident (although had seen on TripAdvisor when searching for something else), were not dressed for going out to such a nice place, but they invited us in anyway. Excellent food, great service and good options in an unexpected location! I...went with my sons (one adult, one teenager) and they were both very satisfied with the menu and portions!! My teenager said that their beef burger was one of the best he's had. The butter chicken was one of the tastiest I've had, although spicier than normal! My teenager and I had the iced tea and we both highly recommend as a non-alcoholic option! They also do their menu take away, so I got the lamb shank to go for my husband (who'd stayed in our accommodation). He enjoyed it after a quick zap in the microwave, the lamb was tasty and tender; although there was probably a little too much coriander seed in the rice for his liking... but that's a personal preference. If you're staying near the airport for a night or two, don't miss this place!!More

Pad Thai noodles tasted like sugar syrup with a hint of salt n pepper!! It was so so bad that 2 of us couldn't complete 1 plate!! The spicey chicken wings are just bland and flavourless...All the other items were just ok, not at all...justified for the price and for the online reviews!! Atmosphere is like any mid level restaurant, again just barely average. Service, at least in our experience is just as bad as the sugary pad Thai!! Food: 1/5 | Service: 1/5 | Atmosphere: 1/5More

I’m not one to leave bad reviews, BUT this was a very expensive meal (over $100). I was really excited. We LOVE Asian fusion, and the reviews (and accompanying photos) looked great. Maybe we ordered the wrong things, but the food was very bland and...tasteless. The expectation didn’t meet the reality, unfortunately and I even double checked we’d gone to the right restaurant (I was that perplexed by the whole experience). Highlight - service was great, but that was outweighed by the lack of flavour in the food.More

Lovely meal, drinks were good, wait staff were definitely on "Fiji time". No chance of getting extra drinks as they give you the bill as soon as you finish. Too bad if I wanted to try something else.

We contacted the restaurant through the booking system and asked about the Chefs Table option. We were celebrating the birthdays of my wife and sister. We learned that Chef accepted our reservation and flew in from Suva just to meet us. In fact he arrived...just after we did Let me tell you, I consider myself a foodie and eat in restaurants all over the world. This is hands down among the best. We throughly enjoyed all five courses and Chef spent the entire two hours at our table talking about cuisine, the Fijian culture and living in Fiji as an ex-pat. Service was impeccable and the price 125 fjd pp was very reasonable for such a dinner. I’d go back in a heartbeat if ever in Fiji again Thanks Chef Seeto and the staff at Kanu!More

Menu reads :FIJIAN BUTTER CHICKEN GF boneless chicken thigh, tomatoes, coconut milk, roast sweet potato, pickles, chutney, paratha, rice What arrived was some wings and feet and small bits of chicken. The curry was too salty to eat. The kids had burgers which were ok....The flambe dessert was nice.More

We had the Nasi goreng and Pad Thai both with Beef. The imaginative chef did a superb Fiji version of these classics. Sauces delectable. Each dish had close a pound of soft marinated beef We each could not finish our meal, first time in Fiji...Come between 4 and 6 pm for A great Happy hourMore

The menu is a mix of things regretfully not all items are available and they also have things not listed on the menu but are available. The service is quick, the starter portions are big and the food cooked really well. They just lost me...when we were not shown or told there was a specials board. We were not told they had Kokonda on the menu, it appears nowhere but they do it and it was really hard to find someone to tell us what fish was in the dish. Wine by the glass is limited and expensive for the size. Staff are super friendly and helpful.More

So we heard about Kanu and Chef Seeto in the most glowing terms from staff and guests alike at our resort. Booked dinner and arrived full of anticipation. The venue is small, booking is definitely a must and unassuming. It was lovely to sit outside...on the deck but can't say that the carpark and busy road were the best views or added much to the ambience. The staff though were friendly and efficient. We ordered two starters to share and they were delicious! The butter chicken spring rolls were crispy Asian with a rich creamy Indian inspired centre. The dumplings were absolute packed with flavour and gorgeous. The trouble is both dishes were enormous! Then our even more enormous mains were set on the table before we had finished the starters! Had we had a break to digest the first course we may have been able to do better justice to those mains. As it was I just stared at mine in dismay. This was the most expensive meal we had in Fiji and I was looking forward to an experience. Instead we were in and out in only a little over an hour and felt rather rushed and underwhelmed. Sorry Chef, but would not recommend to others.More
