If you want to do something a little different then good place to go. Food was good and tasty and kids (4,8 & 13) loved the experience and watching the chef cook in front of them.
The restaurant itself is a bit tired and long overdue a makeover, but if you can get past this then you will enjoy.
They have a sitting that starts as 6pm and another at 8pm. They don’t take bookings so good to get there bang on 6 and secure a table and get order in or you will be disappointed in out. We left our session and sign out front saying booked out (8pm) even though all tables not taken think limits due to number of chefs cooking. There where 4 working when we dined and they moved around the tables during the two hours we where there… hence get in early and order first!!!
We had teriyaki chicken and beef. Prawns. Sirloin steak and karage chicken, accompanied with fried rice and veges. Food was delicious, tasty and fresh! Decking fairly good value for money as well, $180 FJD for all that and this included 5 soft drinks/juice and 3 bottled waters.

Delicious meal and would eat here again. Beautiful fresh sashimi. All seats are around the teppan grill, and we enjoyed one of the set menus. Dinner for three, including alcohol was $220 FJD.

We love this restaurant. The staff are well trained and so friendly. The restaurant is not always open so we called in to check on opening and closing times and to make a reservation. We also checked with the staff members before ordering. Seriana at the reception is so professional. Some items like tuna may not always be in stock. HOWEVER, This is still one of our favourite spots in Nadi and we will be back.

I was disappointed with our visit to the Nadi restaurant. I went to the Suva one last year and it was excellent, but this one fell short for me.
The agedshi tofu had no flavour in the broth, which was also in short supply, and the batter was way too thick - it didn’t go gelatinous as it should.
The seaweed salad wasn’t what I expected either with a different type of seaweed that I didn’t like.
We also ordered shochu that the menu said was $10 a glass, which I said to the waitress at least 3 times I’d order the $10 glass of shochu because the others were so expensive. When we got the bill, they were actually $19 per glass but the menu we had been given was so faded and poorly printed the 9 looked like a 0. Even still, the waitress should have corrected us and let us know the drinks was twice the price. We would have ordered something else. Despite this being pointed out to the waitstaff, they did not make any alterations to the bill.

The waitresses all seemed like it was their first day. Very challenging. We ordered the Special combo with steak and shrimp and lobster. Steak was chewy. Shrimps were smothered in an almost tasteless gooey sauce. For finale she said “ thank you “ and started to walk. We said “ what about the lobster ?” She was taken aback. “ oh, the kitchen has no lobster”. Lol. Of course nobody told us. Sushi was decent. Cooked food very mediocre. Service friendly but really disorganized and clueless. Build came and was full price even though no lobster.Apparently we got extra shrimp. I hate giving bad reviews. I like most places. I don’t think it was the waitress’s fault. Poor training. Bad management. They were all very nice. This had so many good reviews I expected much much better.

It really important to get a reservation ahead. Fortunately being a solo diner paid off and they manage to accommodate me. I went for the Teppanyaki Daikoku Special and a Salmon Sashimi side dish. I rated 4/5 because the vegetables did not meet my expectations and although the chef cooks in your presence, dont expect any performance. It is just plain cooking. Overall, the food is good and I am grateful that they accomodate me.

Still the best in Fiji for Japanese, case rested. Will be BACK. Fresh Tuna sashimi was divine and to die for, then had the daikon variety with a group of work colleagues. Healthy great food and service.

On of my family’s favorite restaurants in Nadi. The food is always consistent. Especially love the prawns in yum yum sauce, the Japanese salad, sashimi & grilled salad. Highly recommend this restaurant for anyone. Delicious 😊

I tried to make a reservation and was not allowed to over the phone. Told to turn up as there were tables free and tables would be available. Arrived shortly after calling with children to be told fully - sorry fully booked. Waited for the time that I was told to and still no table free. During that time people arrived without a booking and were ushered in. Others arrived with a reservation and were shown in. Disgusted with the flippant behavior. Shame as I have eaten here multiple times over the years.

A good experience and I think this restaurant offers a good value to quality product. The chefs are very proficient, accomodating and friendly. The food fresh, tasty and well cooked. If youre in Denarau or Nadi and fancy japanese then this is a good option. It's predictable and I've always had a good meal here as a family or large group. Our chef had a busy night, but she did a great job. Thank you for your great service. Vegan options..

Fighting against cockroaches is always prime agenda for the restaurants in tropical islands.
It is totally our fault and no excuses, just doing what we can do now.
We have taken monthly Pest control service done by Flicker Hygiene (one of the biggest name for the hygiene solution in Fiji) for controlling small Cockroaches.
But last two months, we have noticed that it didn't work well after their treatment.
Therefore, we are currently discussing about further treatment urgently with them.
This is current situation though, I would like to explain about the more practical situation for everyone's honor.
First of all, since after COVID, we are facing critical shortage of skilled/experienced staffs.
We means our company and most of business in Fiji.
It has been more than two years and economy is recovered but practical operation is still not fully recovered yet.
There are many reasons why we face shortages of workers, and one of the major reason is migration to neighbor country for a better income. After Many skilled workers left, many positions were open and available. therefore many workers started changing workplaces for better rate, better condition.
Many skilled workers, experienced workers migrated to overseas, therefore, most of local companies faced lack of experienced staffs. Although we were able to find non-experienced workers, due to shortage of experienced workers, most of non-experienced staffs were not able to handle busier situation without panic, and can not handle works under pressure with responsibility.
Those new workers always said "I am responsible", "hard-worker", "reliable" during their job interview, but that's their self assessment. We have to judge from their reaction and behavior when they faced such situation.
New trainee chefs are able to learn cooking but still their performance is slow and messy and awareness of cleanliness doesn't reach required standard.
Therefore skilled workers, experienced workers are more busier and can not afford to assist non-experienced workers well, and not able to notify if they are doing sloppy work. Besides such new workers are easily taking time off due to sickness, due to family problem etc. Because of that, even though the company employed more staffs, We always face shortage of hands.
We have some senior workers but we need more junior workers and new workers to carry out simple duties before we assign more important task to them.
In practical situation, due to absence and resignation without notice, busier senior person gets busier, those new workers keep changing work when they faced difficulty. We want to train them more hard but if its too hard, they will leave work.
Therefore, we have to be patient for them to improve their understanding and learn from mistake at their pace.
This is why currently we are not taking any reservation in our Nadi shop.
We are not able to maintain minimum number of cooking staff due to unexpected absence, and sudden resignation without notice. Even though I, Director of Company, am working as one of the cooking staff in Kitchen, and filling up a weak part of operation, But we have to inform every guests we are not able to provide full service and taking time to serve guests due to shortage of staffs.
I think most of companies faces, more or less, similar kind of problem, that's why the above pest control service also, recently their quality of service were different every time and it depends on individual worker.
We have lodged a mild complaint to them because we all face similar situation and understand that they need time for their worker to take more experience.
Even though some workers with good personal character, it doesn't mean that they are fast learners/capable workers.
Even though some workers showed good understanding and complete their tasks fast, it doesn't mean that they are reliable workers, if they keep coming late or absent from duty.
It is not easy to train workers and build strong team. Their speed of improvement are all different.
We struggle to maintain QSC standard, but still we are trying to get back to normal operation and expected standard as soon as possible.

OMG what a wonderful meal we had last night at this beautiful Japanese restaurant. Outstanding service, food was prepared to perfection. A must if visiting Fiji. It's just down the road where we are staying. They have car parking and it's up n downstairs restaurant.

The glory days have well and truly passed. It gives me no pleasure to write this but the owners and potential customers must know that there could be a roach infestation around the tepan tables. This was evident when the flame was lit and little roaches started appearing around us. There also don’t appear to be any experienced chefs. The good thing is that all patrons are warned that trainees are on the tables. The remaining staff are trying their best but perhaps the owners or health authorities should check the tables and do a major clean up before it gets any worse.
