Delicious Tasty food and Warm amazing staff

Went here twice in 2 nights, wish we tried it earlier. Tepenyaki was the way to go. The staff are amazing, full of energy, warm and funny. The food was delicious. We ordered the sashimi tuna (fresh), medium cooked steak was tender, just melted in our mouth, the fried rice was delicious, prawns tasty, so was the the sirloin. But the steak is definitely the one to choose. The first night Chef Siri had a lot of energy and fun in him. All the staff got together and sang Happy Birthday. The next night we had his apprentice who was 5 months pregnant who was simply beautiful and knew how to cook very well. Great experience will not disappoint. The

Absolutely stunning restaurant experience

What to say about Sazanami. It is a truly delightful establishment, made by good service and even better food. It is as close to perfection as a meal can come. Pricilla our waitress took excellent care of us - we stayed for an extended period such was the hospitality at the whole of the Warwick Fiji, however Sazanami is really the jewel in its crowd. Succulent meat options, cooked to perfection and an array of beverages to help wash it all down. My girlfriend Liz enjoyed her birthday during our time in Fiji, and Sazanami accommodated by making a lovely cake completely complimentary. I cannot recommend Sazanami enough to anyone visiting Fiji and in particular the Warwick. Make sure to keep a look out for Pricilla she is a true Queen of Fiji.

Great Japanese in a Bula way!

We have been here two nights in a row. As a couple we have eaten in many Japanese restaurants around the world and in Japan. The food here is very good! Both nights we started with a mixed sashimi, the tuna and salmon were so fresh! We had Teppanyaki tuna and prawns the first night with a fried rice. The highlight was the tuna, actually the cheapest dish on the Teppanyaki menu but one of the best. Second night we had the sashimi again and it didn’t let us down, we also repeated the tuna and this time had wasabi steak. The tuna was still great but the wasabi steak knocked it out of the park! We brought our 7 month old and the team looked after him so well. We will probably eat there tomorrow too!

Worst restaurant meal in Fiji ever. I hesitated to write this seeing all the glowing 5 star reviews but our a La carte meal (6 adults 2 children) was very poor. Salmon was watery and tasteless. My crumbed chicken was stone/cold and a very poor cousin to KFC. Inedible. The beef was tough and served cold. Over $500 and was a shocker. If you chance your luck at this restaurant don’t do the a la carte. The teppenyaki at least would be hot. We are regular visitors to Fiji and love holidaying here but will not be back to this establishment. As always the staff are just wonderful.

Absolutely disappointing

Ordered the Christmas Eve special which was $99 FJD each. Ordered drinks at the beginning, to which we didn’t receive until after finishing the entree. Was provided the main being beef and fried rice which was drowned in soy sauce (to the point my partner refused to finish the meal). Observed the chef and staff eating the remains of other patrons dinners. Observed the chef touching his own hair and playing with other staff before beginning preparing other people’s dinners. Desert was left sitting on the counter to melt before it was served to us. In all we paid over $200 FJD for something that we could get back in Australia for less then $80. Very disappointing for a “five star” resort and has left a sour taste in our mouths.

An unmissable dining experience when staying at the Warwick

This restaurant is a MUST for anyone staying at the Warwick. My husband and I booked a 6pm Teppanyaki experience with our 7 month old. We were apprehensive with how the evening would go with such a small child having to sit through such a big and loud experience. The staff at the Sazanami were amazing! They engaged with our daughter to help us through a couple of wobbly moments with such patience, understanding and grace. The food was absolutely delicious and the portions were huge (we highly recommend the wasabi aged sirloin). The dining experience was created with all the flare and showmanship you would expect dining at a top Teppanyaki restaurant in Australia. However the team creates an atmosphere like you were being welcomed over to dinner by a family friend, rather than making you feel like just another customer they have to serve. Well done to the whole Sazanami Team! We wish we had dined with you earlier in our stay so we could have visited again before we went home!

The Best Food in Coral Coast

My fiance and I loved the atmosphere of this restaurant, loud and entertaining teppen chef, Sirlio puts on a fantastic show and has the whole restaurant in awe with his antics. While the wait staff are super attentive and cater to any needs and requests no matter how small, Waisake and Eroni made our experience unforgettable with humour, genuine connection and care for our experience. Top quality meats on the teppenyaki grill were mouth wateringly good. The steak, lobster and prawns had a taste to them that was so good I went back for a 2nd helping on our stay at the Warwick. Could not rate this place more highly, an absolute MUST try if you're in Fiji. Book early as it books out very quickly because of how amazing the restaurant is. Vinaka Sazanami, Joseph

Best Japanese in Fiji

We recently dined at the Sazanami restaurant in the Warwick Resort. The restaurant has everything going for it with the most delicious fresh seafood, meats and authentic sides cooked to perfection by a skilled and entertaining Fijian teppanyaki chef. Attentive service and casual atmosphere created a dinner-party atmosphere and a night for us to remember.

I went here with my mum and brother for dinner three times when staying at the Warwick, twice for Teppanyaki and once for Ala Carte. When we had Tepannyaki the the first time Sulliasi was our chef, who made the dinner very fun and was so nice. I am a vegetarian and the chef and waiters were all very accommodating and made me the yummiest meal with silken tofu and so many veggies. At the end of the night everyone in the restaurant was sung the beautiful goodbye song by Wame and the rest of the crew in Sazanami and although it wasn’t our last night, my mum and I nearly cried because it was so sweet. After that dinner we immediately booked to have dinner there again, but to try Ala Carte next time. Danii Susu made our dinner that night when we al had sushi and it was absolutely delicious. We had Teppanyaki again on our second last night and it was of course fabulous again

Birthday dinner

We are staying at The Warwick & prior to arriving I emailed to book dinner for my husband’s birthday. On arrival we were warmly welcomed by a number of staff. The meals are expensive but the food & service was fantastic. We chose to eat off the menu as we had our 10 & 11 year olds with us so the Teppanyaki Grill probably wouldn’t have suited. The boys loved the sushi & we enjoyed the sashimi, lobster & prawns. We received an extra couple of dishes for free so we were absolutely full by the end. As a pleasant surprise the staff organised a lovely birthday cake for my husband & the whole restaurant sung him Happy Birthday before he got to cut the cake with a sword. It was a very special & memorable night thanks to the over & above effort from every member of staff.

Fantastic meal and service!

We had a fantastic meal at the Sazanami Restaurant. The food was incredible and the service was fantastic. We had the Teppanyaki steak and salmon and both were amazing. The food was cooked in front of us and provided a lot of entertainment. The server Eroni was super accommodating and provided a fun environment. I definitely recommend this restaurant!

Perfect night out - twice!

Fantastic food! We ate here two nights in a row and would do more if we could. Sushi was so, so good! Main courses had something for all of us, including a teen who claimed to not like Japanese cuisine. The deep fried ice cream and tempura bananas were a peefect indulgence. And the staff! Amazing, so friendly and so welcoming. Everything you coukd hope at a dinner at Fiji. Thank you everyone!

Hands down best food at Warwick.

Sazanami is a slice of Sydney cuisine excellence on the shores of the Coral Coast. Chef Siri is unbelievable. We ate at this restaurant multiple times and on all occasions it was beyond expectations. Chef Siri even went out of his way to serve our two-year-old variations of the teppanyaki we were eating and he loved it. Cannot recommend this restaurant and the staff enough. 5 stars!!!

Foods melts in your mouth

We went on our first family holiday with our daughter. We made our booking for 7pm because our daughter loved watching the show at 6pm. Unfortunately she became restless and the staff assisted so much. Vani, verenaisi and wais helped keep her settled. Big thank you to chef Tupai he kept it entertaining for my daughter and the food was so delicious and melted in our mouth!

Entertaining Dinner

My friends and I booked for the Teppanyaki Dinner and it was a hit! The lovely staff welcomed us and ensured we were enjoying our meal and having a good time. They cracked some jokes and we had a good laugh. Our teppanyaki master, Suli, skillfully prepared our meat to perfection and ensured that it was to our liking. Thank you Sazanami for a memorable experience. We hope to return when we are back in Fiji! Vinaka!
