Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Really cool, select your vinyl album to play and the crew will put it on the record player. Great food and coffee. Plus, get a cool t- shirt. Note this is a building David Bowie filmed Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence in.

Stopped by for a coffee, great place to have a chill out of the sun, and definitely worth checking out the art galleries ajoining it!

This cafe is a real find. The food is excellent and the setting superb. A cool little courtyard at the rear of the property but the standout feature is the vinyl collection! If you're of a certain age, or just enjoy the vinyl revival, you...will love this place!More

I loved The Cafe. It is located in such a lovely breezeway next to the beach. It was so lovely eating brunch, feeling the breeze and listening to great music. The food was delicious and I was able to get an oat latte. The owners...are so warm and the cafe has a lovely, quirky feel.More

I ordered a large latte - it came in a small glass and was undrinkable. I am a keen coffee drinker but this was hands down the worst I have ever had. It was so over extracted the bitterness stung my mouth. My husband ordered...ice coffee that came in a tall glass of ice with watery coffee in it - both unpleasant to see and taste. We did not order food as the cakes on the bench were saggy in the middle - nothing appealing to the eye. Best avoid this one if you want coffee. The two staff who I gather are the owners were unfriendly and would benefit from doing a barrister and customer service course. Not the experience you normally get in Rarotonga.More

Well worth the wait.. The Cafe is a must for a delicious breakfast, snack or lunch. Set in one of Rarotonga's oldest iconic buildings (David Bowie filmed a scene from Merry Christmas Mr Laurence 50 years ago there) the owners Ian & Clair have created...such a cool vibe. Classic records you can choose and play yourself and lovely cosy lounge areas and seating it really is awesome 👌 The best all fruit smooties you could wish for and YUM our scrambled eggs on sourdough taost with bacon was so tasty. Thank Guys 🥰More

We discovered The Cafe while wandering and exploring. A perfect, healthy lunch spot in a beautiful old building. Ian and his wife were warm and accommodating. It is also home of the Vinyl Revival Club where you can select your own background music. Ian also...plays guitar at The Shipwreck Hut several nights a week.More

This great cafe is located behind an art gallery on the main road at the eastern end of the shopping centre. We had the smoked marlin salad and both agreed it was one of the best lunches we’ve had here. So much so, we had...to go back to get the same dish as take away to have for dinner two days later! They also have excellent coffee, yummy cakes and a great vinyl record collection where you can choose your music while you eat.More

The Cafe is almost a mini museum of vinyl records. There are lots of 45 rpms on the wall and an old fashioned record player is playing oldies but goodies. The management is friendly and the fruit smoothie I had was delicious. My colleague and...I were still talking when The Cafe closed and the owners left and told us to stay until we were finished. Not something you would see in the U.S.!More
