We visited without a reservation on a Monday night and even though the place was busy they managed to find a table for four with minimal fuss. The restaurant in the heat of the summer was cool and welcoming whilst the small outside patio enjoyed a nice breeze. We were seated inside by the friendly host and within a couple of minutes were being attended to by the very friendly and charming waiter. Given none of our party spoke Spanish the waiter did a great job of working out our colloquiums and the like and it wasn’t long before a local organic bottle of Camenere was being poured along with some of the most delicious Pisco Sours.
We all went for steak and all of us thought the food was delicious. We asked the waiter to choose a selection of sides and again these were all very fresh and tasty. The service we received from our waiter was friendly and discreet, he always seemed to pop by just when we needed something, do top marks for his attentiveness. The Sommelier was a little stern and cold but perhaps that was ‘his thing’ but he was helpful nonetheless.
If you find yourself in Santiago I would definitely recommend a visit to this restaurant.

From entry to exit we had amazing service and a really engaging experience. The waiters are very knowledgable about the meat and the menu as well as the amazing selection of Chilean wines. The space is well decorated, open and comfortable. The food was all really tasty and we had a selection of steaks, chorizo and burgers. The wine was fantastic and there is no rush to the bill - take your time and enjoy the experience. I’d go back anytime. Thank you Leo Cuzman a tour guide we had for this recommendation.

My wife and myself were in Santiago on our way to Antarctica. We were staying at the Ritz Carlton Hotel. There was a young man working at the Ritz that was born and raised in the US until he was 12. As I do not speak any Spanish I was thrilled to be able to ask him for a place to eat dinner that was near the hotel. Without hesitation when I asked him for a good restaurant he told us to go to Happening! It is a short walking distance from the Ritz. We were greeted by the owner Rodrigo. We had a great conversation with him and he suggested what we should eat that night for dinner. Each dish that we had was excellent. In fact both my wife and myself told him that we would be regulars if we lived in Santiago.

The steak and wine were on point here. A group of us got some excellent recommendations from the server and ordered a bunch of different items, including a beautiful cut to share. We had trouble understanding the differences between a house and a garden salad. And surprisingly, the salads here weren’t all that great.
The animal paintings were rather entertaining!

Without a doubt, it is one of the good places to try good meat, with the exact points, and a quality that is noticeable. With its sober style and good service, it is very pleasant. Low marks are the little variety and creativity in its accompaniments and the high prices.

Place discovered by chance in an evening looking for a free place to dine.
As soon as we entered we were greeted with courtesy by the staff who do not nci at all hear foreigners. Varied menu with local dishes and specialized on meat dishes.
Very nice location, where Chilean wine is well put the exhibition.
For being in an important area, having eaten well and being served and treated carefully, the price was right. Recommendation and will return, who knows...

The very best meat in Santiago and the best atmosphere. The service is like being in an old fashion restaurant with amiable courtesy but at the same very relaxed. The owner is there every day which keeps the service at its best. Good meat cuts and excellent side dishes. Best!

Great location right in the centre area of Las Condes. Service was really good, on time, professional and caring. The food was simply awesome with some meat dishes simply outstanding. But then again, isn’t Argentina known for that? Highly recommended although ii is not the cheapest option to eat out in Santiago.

Absolutely unacceptable the Châteaubriant is not anymore on the Menu Carte!!!!!
25 years that I eat there because of the best beef of Chile even Sud America.
Wine carte that was exceptional is not anymore at the level. Do correct that immediately.
No excuse.
Sorry you deserve 5 when the Châteaubriant is back and the Sidéral of San Pedro.

This place is awesome. They are very friendly and our Argentinian friend whose name I cannot recall treated us nice and held a chat with us. The food is very good we enjoyed it and. the wine aswell. The service is superb. We tried to return however it was closed untill after labor day. This is up till now the best to eat meat.

This is a fine steakhouse with traditional good service. The wine list is very complete with a good spread on prices and even availability of half bottles. The small NY steak is pretty big and the skirt steak is excellent. We did not have a reservation and although the restaurant was full they were able on accommodating us. Little noisy but not uncomfortable.

Everything is fine, the place, the atmosphere, and the service (fast and professional). The food is fresh and tasty and the dishes have a delicate preparation. It is good for families and to go with your better half or a date you would like to impress.
It is well located, however is not cheap. I found it a little bit expensive but it worth it for all the details explained above.

Hello Happening! A classy steak place, and simply enjoyable. Had a business dinner here, with the intent to feast on fine cuts of meat. Decided on the ribeye and was not disappointed, along with the various sides. Superb service and ambience added to the overall excellent experience. Savoured the meat with some fine Chilean wine and good company on a happy atmosphere. Definitely happening at Happening, if you are in the mood for superb steak and surroundings along with the service. Gracias!!

We had a group booking here for 10 for a work function and were well looked after. The service was exceptional the steaks were great.
I recommend the empanadas for appetiser, steak for entree and then the apple strudel for dessert.

Can't believe how amazing all the food tasted. We had the Argentina sausage, grilled octopus and rib eye steak, followed by the chocolate lava cake. All were so amazing. The place is quite fancy - we didn't realise and went in after a hike, but no issues were had! Highly recommend.
