We value our coffee in Australia and we have been missing it since travelling in South America so it was with great delight that we stumbled upon Cafe Forestal today. We were on our way to the Museum and saw this small set up opposite luring us in with its bright bunting. It is small with three tables outside and three inside but you will be greeted with a very friendly barista and wonderful coffee. The brownies were also worth ordering. A great find and a must visit.

The coffee here is fantastic. For someone who's lived in Sydney for five years and has a coffee-addiction and high standards, this is definitely a good place to go to. Fast service and friendly staff. Good wifi too.

The coffee here is delicious. Have visited many a coffee shop in Santiago and the best Americano is a toss up between this place and Wonderland. Beans for purchase in various sizes. Very friendly service. Nice outdoor seating. Only negative is that it does get warm inside. Definitely worth stopping in!

Cafe Forestal is a small cafe on a charming tree-lined street in downtown Santiago. My wife and I went there hoping for a decent coffee and were not disappointed. They had a proper coffee machine and their coffees were sensibly-sized. The staff were really friendly and clearly took pride in making the coffee, which showed in the quality. My wife had a cappuccino and I had a latte and both were superb.We also had a croissant with avocado, which was also good.

My husband and I were visiting Santiago Chile & while walking thru Forestal Park we came upon Cafe Forestal. We did not have reservations but the host was very accommodating and quickly sat us at a great table! Our waiter came quickly and we ordered a nicsose salad, quiche Lorraine & French onion soup. All choices were excellent!! The crust on the Lorraine was perfection! We enjoyed every bite and the wait staff couldn’t have been nicer!! Kudos to the chefs they put out great French Brasserie food!! Highly recommended👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

I looked on trip advisor for the best coffee in Santiago and visited three suggestions that were close to where we stayed. Bloom, Colmado and Forestal to arrange them alphabetically. Thoughts as follows:
Coffee quality: I use a Melbourne flat white as a benchmark.
Coffee Quality: 1. Forestal 2. Colmado 3. Bloom . All served good coffee. One thing surprised me. I included Bloom as three reviews on TripAdvisor suggested the coffee was as good as Melbourne coffee. Really? I disagree. I am thinking Seven Seeds, Campos and Industry Bean. Bloom comes up short and it only seemed to serve in takeaway paper cups. I think the other two also come up short but by lesser distances.
Space: 1. Colmado 2. Forestal. 3. Bloom.
Service/ Welcome 1. Forestal 2. Colmado 3. Bloom . The lady in Forestal is lovely, she smiles. Colmado are very welcoming except I watched four people within 30 minutes ask for the coffee to be hotter, two of them returned their offering. I was at the end of that tail and the coffee arrived...exactly same temperature as previously !! At Bloom, there were no smiles. I spoke to both the two people behind the counter and I found both to be unfriendly.
Overall. I recommend each of these place are they provide a greatly superior coffee experience to random selections in Santiago. I would happily visit all three again and I would visit Forestal first.

Very nice little cute cafe. The owner is very sweet and friendly. The cold blew and carrot cake are just amazing.

across from the Bellas Artes Museum at the edge of a park.
You can sit outside in front of the restaurant, or , if you are lucky, upstairs is a patio. The food has a french tone and our lunch was very good. The atmosphere is very nice

Nice coffee in a cosy cafe. Food ok - cakes looked yummy but we only had sandwiches. Service good, although a little slow. Good if you have a bit of time. They have wifi. Perhaps a little expensive for what it was.

This was such a cute little coffee shop! The coffee and breakfast were really good. I had their breakfast special, which came with a ton of food. It was delicious. The coffee was great as well.

This cafe is charming with 3 little tables outside and a clean bright interior. I had a hard time finding a real latte in Santiago near Plaza de Armas. Most of them were from an automated machine. This little spot is convenient but off the beaten path enough where you don't feel like a tourist.
The latte was delicious and cost me 2100peso. I was asked if I wanted a double and if I wanted it to stay or take away which I appreciated. The guy running the place was helpful and charming and helped me along in English. They also have wifi and god but I didn't sample either.

Definitely my favorite place in Santiago de Chile, to order some coffee and a cake and meet up with friends. If you're searching for a strong, and good (!) coffee (they use a proper coffee machine, in contrary of other coffee places where they just use water and powder), this is your place to be. As well I can strongly recommend their tortas (pie) and queque (cake, muffins)!

A wonderful restaurant with rooftop dining in the big city park across from the Museo Bellas Artes. Historic building with a modern restaurant inside. Wonderful staff. Have a great afternoon after the museum relaxing on the rooftop with a drink and a snack, melting into dinner al fresco. If you are with the right people, or not, it will be a memorable event. The food and drinks are intersting & delicious, prices are good too.
