Phew, the ice cream at Emporio La Rosa is out of this world. It's totally addictive, and to top it off, it's reasonably priced.
Today, we went all out with a coconut and a chocolate/caramel scoop, and afterwards, we had to pinky swear to come back tomorrow and try the passion fruit and raspberry flavors.
Good thing we're leaving town the day after tomorrow. We'd be rolling home from living near this phenomenal ice cream pusher.

We were staying at the Luciano K Hotel and walked to the Mercado Centrale via the gladed park areas, this cafe was en route. Friendly staff, ask for the English menu, nice toasted sandwiches and coffee. Recommended.

We had ice cream to go. The service was unfriendly and stressed despite not many people queuing. The ice cream itself was ok but nothing special.

Awful place, really unfriendly, not explaining properly what I needed to do. Laughing at my Spanish. Worst place I’ve visited in South America, I felt so uncomfortable and unwelcome there. Don’t go if you’re travelling soloand your Spanish isn’t up to scratch.

Didn't even get to try the ice cream, tried to pay for one and unfriendly lady serving said she had no change, meanwhile whilst we were distracted with this my friend had her purse stolen from her handbag which ruined the last day of a holiday and left a bad impression of Santiago

Great location close to Parque Forestal at the junction of two roads you might think it would be blighted by traffic. But it is not and it is a great place to buy an excellent ice cream to go or better to sit down to enjoy the area.

The claim to be one of the world’s best ice cream places and I do not disagree. Fabulous and fresh, with interesting local flavors as well. Also highly enjoyed salads for lunch. Service was kind and efficient. Saw them closing quickly as the protesters arrived later on, a new everyday life here. Didn’t feel threatened so don’t avoid going here (in the daytime).

Figura entre os 25 melhores sorvetes do mundo. Experimentamos um pote com 3 bolas: framboesa, chocolate e limão (meu sabor predileto). Estavam muito bons! Vendo aquela vitrine com os sorvetes de palito, não resistimos e experimentamos também o de pistache com dode de leite: maravilhoso! O café espresso também é delicioso! Atendimento cordial e rápido, apesar do grande movimento. (It is among the 25 best ice creams in the world. We tried a pot with 3 balls: raspberry, chocolate and lemon (my favorite flavor). They were very good! Seeing that display case with the ice cream sticks, we could not resist and also tried the pistachio with dulce de leche: wonderful! The espresso coffe is also delicious! Friendly and fast service, despite the great movement.)😋🍨🍦☕

We stopped here for gelato and a milkshake after walking Saint Lucia, then walked with our desserts to a nearby plaza and national library. Nice afternoon strolling around. Everything is so close.

……….In our quest to locate Emporio La Rosa and indulge in pure delicious ice cream we were surprised to discover and encounter two shop only three streets apart. What was real-lii nice about the first shop we came across was that they had a very big area set-out with tables and chairs so you could enjoy your insidious-lii delicious ice cream right here in the open air with out walking about. The shop was crowded with patrons shoulder to shoulder. But the service was good as you could see the shop-assistance were used to the crowds and they didn’t want anyone leaving unhappy so they were very efficient and very friend-lii going about their work. There was myriads of different flavors to choose from and because this was new to us as we don’t have a La Rosa where we came from we tried to pick-out the most unlike-lii flavors. You may choose to have as many scoops of ice cream as you wished to have in your tub and it was an experience of its own kind to witness how they serve their ice cream in the tub and plonk a sugar-cone on top like a point-tii cap/hat. Must say its rather an expensive experience as the price for two balls of ice cream in Rand value is just over R 62.50 and for a half liter the price in Rand would be just on R95.00 as per the exchange rate of the day of our visit but never-the-less a very pleasant and enjoyable encounter and everyone who is visiting Santiago de Chile should venture here for the sheer enjoyment of insidious-lii delicious ice cream……………

Went there for a “quick breakfast “ before visiting the city. Ordered 4 coffee and 4 croissants. Had to wait more than an hour for it. The staff was really under pressure and understaffed for the amount of people to serve. Walked by at evening and the same people were still working. Feel bad for them, but we left after more than 2 hours for an order that should take less than 5 min to make ready.

We ate here several times, both indoors and on the great outdoor terrace. Lunch, dinner, desserts - so good! It is always busy but the service has always been great. Tomato basil and cheese empanadas, vegetarian sandwich, spinach and corn pancake, porotos granados - all delicious. Ice creams were so hard to choose given so many different delicious options but we had lemon mint basil, chocolate araucano, lucuma, harina tostada, miel de ulmo, naranja jengibre, chirimoya naranja - all wonderful!
