An Ă  la carte menu is served every day at dinner, while from Monday to Friday Senso offers an Executive lunch, which includes an antipasto buffet, a main dish and a glass of wine for CLP 19,900. Every Sunday enjoy a family-friendly Brunch from the World, where children can happily play, overseen by our certified bilingual babysitters. Priced at CLP 34,500 per adult, CLP 12,000 per child aged between 6 - 12, and CLP 6,000 per child aged 2 - 5. The buffet also includes a selection of four wines, two sparkling wines, water and juices.

We arrive to the restaurant and seems like there is a lot of controls to get you there, even if as we you have your reservation, too many people asking that. On the service, Marjorie our waitress was wonderful and recommend us all our dishes so we eat at restaurant recommendations with one entry, having both pasta, one with centolla king crab and locos , chilean abalone, that was with spaghetti's and a great sauce. the other was a conch like pasta with confit duck and a cream sauce that was incredible. For desert we took the recommended deserts from the samples at the entry, having a chocolate and toffee that was good and a ball of chocolate and coconut cream and passion fruit, not that great but good. Overall the pasta dishes were excellent and service was very charming. Maybe too much questions on how good was the food and services that can become uncomfortable eventually when it is too many times, that shows some lack of confidence something that is not needed as food and services were excellent.

I spent 3 weeks at M.O. Santiago, and was very pleased with the level of care and service from the team. Freddy and Claudia always went out of their way to make sure that I had everything I needed, and offered great suggestions for food, wine, and activities in the city. They made my stay a wonderful experience and I look forward to my next visit.

We have been staying at the Mandarin for about a week now and my friend and I have been having an incredible time mainly due to the incredible service we have received as well as the food onsite. One of our many great experiences happened at breakfast in Senso with our waiter Jose Miguel. He provided us with incredible service while dining and gave the best recommendations on what parts of the city to explore and which wineries to go to. We took him up on these recs and they did not disappoint! I can’t say enough great things about our service as well as the food we have had at Senso and the Mandarin

The pandemic may be responsible for much of the disappointing aspects of our dinner. The waiter was severely overwhelmed and undertrained. After ordering, it took 30 minutes for the appetizers to arrive, which were deserving of 3-4 stars. It took another 2.5 hours for the entrees to arrive, after multiple inquiries, and they arrived cold and dry, suggesting that they had been prepared much earlier and were waiting somewhere to be served. It also took 5 inquiries and 1.5 hours to order a glass of wine. Some of our party cancelled their orders and left after 2.5 hours of waiting. After about 2 hours, a manager came out with a tablet and asked us to answer a questionnaire about our food, to which we replied “what food?” The manager then slunk away, but not to the kitchen, since there was still no food or drink on its way. We tried to order cocktails to bide our time, but after 30 minutes, went to the bartender to ask about the progress and were informed that no order had been placed. When the bartender brought the drinks, they were quite good (4-5 stars). After the cold entrees were finally delivered and eaten (1-2 stars), no one was available to clear the plates, so we had to pile them on the ground away from our table to make room for the next course. Service was at best zero stars. Overall, it was an expensive and frustrating 4 hours of torment.

We decided to try the restaurant because they changed the hotel from a Hyatt to a Mandarin Oriental. We ordered the avocado centolla appetizer, was ok, lacking flavour and a slight fishy smell, the Cesar salad was just ok. Then for the mains, the gnocchi with lobster is completely boring, the salmon was very dry, the Wagyu was ok some bits were hard to chew, the tuna was better. Pisco sour was just ok. We decided to avoid the desserts after this. Also, in the middle of the ordering process, the waiter decides to leave and attend to the table next to us because they wanted to pay and leave. This is outrageous. I have never had a waiter just leave and make us wait for another 5-10minutes while he is attending to another tables needs. This is a lack of respect and professionalism. Also had to ask for the bread after we got our appetizers and drinks.

2 weeks ago I went twice, the first time for lunch and the second for dinner with a group of friends. The ambience was good, the cascade sound relaxing and a beautyful centerpiece, BUT it was quite difficult to communicate with the waiter, we wanted to know more about the dishes and the explanations were not much clarifying. The worst thing were the cocktails, we ordered THE SAME drink, tasted COMPLETELY diffrent than the last one, it was with the singapore sloe and one with lychee garish. Despite that, desserts were regular and main dishes were the best, specially the ossobuco gnocci. pd: cocktails cost almost the same as main dishes

I got into Senso with a great reception and ended my dinner with a stomach full of bliss. The food was above my expectations and the service we received from Javiera was extraordinary. Her vibrant energy enriched the value of the already delicious dishes. I ordered the lamb, a highly recommended dish here, as it was finely marinated and well cooked. Thank you for everything Senso.

I met this place during a business trip and was a great discovery. Food is awesome, pasta, seafood, fish but also other type of food. This was our first time staying at a Mandarin Oriental and wow were we impressed. The service was top notch, the property and room were beautifully decorated, and the dining experiences were remarkable. We had an evening dining experience in their semi private gondola cabins which was very fun and unique. Our server Freddy went above and beyond to cater to our every need. The food was absolutely delicious. We recommend the Osobuco. Great job to everyone. We will definitely stay here again if we come back to Santiago.

The service is excellent but food is really really bad. I wanted to give my wife a good wedding anniversary restaurant, boy was I mistaken choosing this one. It's not about the service it's about the chef, sending back 3 dishes is about as much as I hace ever seen. We had a talk with the chef and I can assert that she is no more than a cook that knows nothing on how to prepare good Italian food. Don't waste your money.

Everyone here is super attentive (especially Rafael, who greeted me by name every morning I went down for breakfast, starting on the second day of ny trip!) and the food is delicious. Amazing variety of items during the breakfast buffet. Would recommend 10/10!

We had a wonderful dinner at Senso, but it was made even better by the wonderful assistance of Francisca, who is the hostess at both restaurants at the Mandarin Oriental. She is efficient, professional, friendly, and genuinely interested in making sure you have a great evening. She is a real tribute to the Mandarin Oriental and the high level of service they demand of their staff for their guests. We would definitely be back because of her assistance and professionalism. The food was also very good.

We were staying at the Mandarin Oriental as the pre-hotel to Antarctica. We read some poor reviews so we were concerned. I really can’t understand what the previous reviews problems were. Our staff at the hotel restaurant called Senso were amazing. The staff included Budi, Francisca, Juan the Sommelier, and Franco. We felt like we were in a home family restaurant. Unbelievable. The food was incredible. We asked Juan to bring us a bottle of good wine. He brought us a 2013 bottle of Miguel Torres and it was so perfect and complex. We needed a reservation for Valentine’s (the next day) and Budi made it happen. Finally, the dessert from the pastry bar was a work of art. Our room was a deluxe room overlooking the pool and was very clean and modern. I think the poor reviews were from people who don’t appreciate new minimalist decor. My only complaint is that the pool is cold. But we live in Florida and our pools are typically 87°.

Had two great meals so far at Senso. Breakfast and Lunch. Have a dinner reservations scheduled as well. Love the food, the setting, the quality of service, etc. While staying at the Mandarin in Santiago prior to a cruise, we have come to really like this hotel (restaurants, service, etc). We were fortunate to have a server named Sebastian on two occasions already and he really went above and beyond. Lovely disposition. Knowledgeable. Made it fun. Heck, we even gave him out contact information back home so he could stay in touch and if he found himself visiting NY we told him we would take him out on the town. Anyway, so far so good in Santiago and looking forward to our dinner at Senso. If we are lucky, we will enjoy it with Sebastian’s help……

We visited 2 times the Senso Restaurant during our stay in the Mandarin Oriental. To say it clear and it may sound rude: The cucina italiana was just without any italian taste. The service was great: friendly and charming. But the chef of the Restaurant we suppose never to have experiened a cucina italiana. It’s not Mandarin Oriental as we have seen it in different countries. Alternatively we suggest to try the Capogrossi Restaurant nearby
