Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What are your "Red Flags" in venues?
I know, it's difficult because your attention is set on the view of those amazing desserts on the front, but:........
What Happen when you go Backstage?
Well my last time wasn't delightfull and the dessert, for me the Public Bathrooms should be as immaculate as the Kitchen, because, What can you think if the restrooms are in an unhealthy state of cleanliness?, makes me have second thoughts about the backstage, the place you can't see??
I was afraid only to be inside, well, this is a Red Flag, I stopped going there, maybe I'll give another try in, I do not know exactly When
Or what do you think?, is the same as important the product and the environment, and I mean, the cleanness of the venue?

I came in and instantly fell in love. The ambience could not be better. My only markdown was in the baked goods area. My Pane Chocolat was really disappointing! Very dry. Made me wonder about whether the place is mostly for show. Hope not! I would definitely return, and my guess is that the baking will be better on the next trip.

The Santiago’s branch of Boulangerie Eric Kayser, located in Las Condes neighborhood, is a pleasant space but has some problems. First of all, do not go expecting to find the same products of Parisian stores: Although good, neither breads nor pastries have the same quality as is found in France. The fajita and the pastry (Guérande) which I tasted were good but far from the Parisian standard. Secondly, the service, although friendly, is annoyingly slow. Prices are relatively high for what is offered. All in all, it's disappointing ..

I was waiting like 5-6 minutes when staff will decided who can sirve me a croissant(to go). One woman and man were discussing something very important I guess (as they couldn’t do it) and at the end I had to wait a new girl (looks like she was new). Then a woman who was deep in her conversation after 2 minutes (when I was waiting to pay)took my money and wished me a good day. Products are good, but service and staff very bad.

We ate breakfast here twice while we were in Santiago. The first day we had coffee and croissants. The croissants were very dry and not very tasty. However, we decided to give Eric Kayser another chance since we had such great experiences with Eric Kayser in New York and Paris. On our second visit, we also had coffee and croissants. They redeemed themselves! The croissants were fresh and tasty on our second visit. We also ordered a few pastries to go on our second visit, which were very good. There is a nice outdoor patio at the back of the restaurant. I would recommend this restaurant for breakfast.

We ate breakfast here. Scrambled eggs, toast, croissant. Casual atmosphere and limited menu. Basically a bakery serving an expanded menu of their products. Fresh baked goods and good coffee.

Service is bad. Wouldn’t sit down anymore (the place also isn’t particularly cozy). But always get our bread and pastries there because they’re simply the best in town. (Not cheap, but worthy for a treat!!)

Lunch ... salad with rotten leaves of lettuce, seemed like it had been dumped into the bowl. The good bits were all on the bottom, two pieces of cheese, ham, tomatoes and pasta - literally 2 pieces each, the vinaigrette was good. Rice and beer braised beef was ordinary and flavourless and had no imagination on the plating ... a scoop of rice and a ladle of stew. I had optimistic expectations and was pretty disappointed with lunch. The pastries were, 3 out of 4, fresh and tasty with attention to detail & flavour, coffee was also good. Waiters in Santiago have a bad habit of assuming your change is also their tip.

Well located in Las Condes' neighborhood, Eric Kayser was a nice find. I was wondering around to have a good coffee breakfast and was happy to find it. What I liked the most was the little terrace they have on the back of the store. I didn't find the bakery nor the coffee particularly special. I had a "Desayuno Americano" that was fairly good but missed the beacon.
If you're looking for a "nice place" to have coffee and croissants you'll be happy. If you're looking for "the best coffee and croissants" in town, this is not your place.

I think EK make the best croissants in Santiago, buttery, crumbly and flavor some. The offer a great selection of other French pastries and breads. Worthy of s trip alone. The have a cafe with good coffee and snacks.

Nice coffee and pastries in a small, but not crowded place. There are tables in the back for smoking. Four or five parking spaces, but you will be lucky to find one available.
Prices are a little higher than other coffee shops around, but not a deal breaker.

Overall good quality of this French patisserie in Santiago. They also serve coffee next to the main desk. The cafeteria service is usually bad, and today I had to wait 30 min to get my coffee. I even showed my ticket to the waiter: 12.40 ordered and paid, 13.10 coffee served. The place was not even packed, too bad.

Really nice food and drinks. Staff are helpful; sometimes they get a bit backed up with coffee machine and so on.

Went there for breakfast, had my handbag stolen. Was told by manager that it happens a lot, in fact a customer had their bag stolen the week prior. They have security cameras in cafe, but I was told they were not functioning. READ INTO THIS WHAT YOU WILL.

The best bread and amazing eggs! The coffee is also incredible! I got the American breakfast! The only thing I'd recommend is that they should serve more egg in that, the portion is too small for the price!!
