We were staying at a nearby hotel and came here hoping to go to the highly rated Latin Grill next door. We did not calculate that the Grill is closed on Sunday's so we made the fortunate decision of eating at the outside terrace of Cafe Med. The setting is beautiful and the service was excellent with some great menu recommendations and the selection of local wines. We all ordered local seafood and some side dishes along with several bottles of wine. The fish set the standard for our next two weeks of travel. What struck us most as Americans was the value as we would expect to spend twice as much for a comparable meal at home. If you Spanish is rusty, English is widely spoken and an English menu is also available.

My husband and I spent our honeymoon in Santiago, and our first dinner was here. We had the seabass and it was the most amazing piece of fish I've every had (and I'm from the Caribbean)!!!! Truly, I still think about it. Of course, we went back multiple times. The staff were also wonderful, but I have to give a special shout out to Jose!

Food for lunch was very good.
Service exceptionally poor.
Had to ask 4 times to get wine I ordered when first seated.
Dirty dishes stacked around instead of being taken back to kitchen.
Staff lackadaisical.

Mussels fantastic. Salmon salad was very fresh. Both were appetizer size and enough to share with2 people. Weather was great for al fresco dining.

The decor was fine although getting a little tired like the hotel but the food was not special at all although the range was quite good. Compared to Marriott hotel breakfast offerings in Asia this fell well short and was closer to the US which is usually poor to bad.

Service was Nice, beside that point...nothing remarkable. prices are bit expensive, boring stmosphere, just like many other hotels restaurants´. it´s better to go out for a meal.

The reataurant is located in the Marriott and sharing the kitchen with the excellent Latin Grill. We sat outdoors in a beautiful courtyard and much enjoyed the superb food.
