Service was excellent, with a single waiter handling each table. Our waiter was gracious, multilingual, and presented each course with a sense of spirituality. Though the sushi itself was only fair, the other dishes were imaginative and tasty. Cost was higher than one might wish - US$130 got us a soft drink, juice, two apps, and two main courses. Tables are all outside (in January) and that was comfortable and pleasant. It's certainly convenient if you're staying at the Mandarin.

A quiet, pleasant, relaxed place, with good music, exclusive and specialized in Nikkei gastronomy.
An environment characterized by good customer service from start to finish; I especially highlight the host Victoria, she has a careful disposition and makes you feel at home. Next, Nicolás, a waiter with specialized knowledge of the chef's products, perfectly guides his diners in selecting dishes and wines.
It should be noted that my attendance at the restaurant was for my birthday, the hospitality gave me some surprises.
I recommend, the new entry on the menu "Tiradito de salmon anticuchero" has great balance and explosion of flavors; as a main dish "Lomo saltado"; the dessert "Chocolate cake".
Place that I recommend one hundred percent if you are a person looking to escape the stress of Santiago.

Excellent restaurant. Location, food, background music and above all attention. Xavier Salinas treated us excellently. He explained to us about each dish we asked him about and about the wine we drank. Although there were about 40 minutes left before the kitchen closed, he only let us know, but he did his best not to rush us at all; It gave us complete peace of mind to choose the dishes. He was very kind and cordial, with absolute correctness. Very correct prices.

There are many Nikkei restaurants in Santiago better than Matsuri. Very pretentious dishes but without any flavor innovation. They have very fresh and good quality fish, but the offering of sauces and flavors overshadows its quality. The prices are exorbitant in relation to the quality of the cuisine. The service was very bad for the restaurant's standard, difficult to get attention at the right time, we had to call a couple of times to a waiter different from the one who served us. I don't recommend it at all... pure smoke.

My family and I love Japanese food. We are from SĂŁo Paulo, a place well served by good Japanese restaurants. Even so, being in Chile, where the fish is of good quality, we decided to go to one of the best Japanese restaurants in the region. We regret it very much.
To begin with, it didn't have a good menu. It tries to be modern and escape traditional, but it does so without class. There are no varieties of sushi and sashimi.
For starters we ordered slices of raw salmon with sweet and sour passion fruit sauce and parmesan gratin. Terrible combination as the sauce was very sweet and the parmesan was burnt - it had a bitter taste.
We also ordered missshiro - it looked like one of those bought in powder form, which you just put in hot water. Extremely low quality.
The main dishes were reasonable but at this point we were already completely disappointed with the experience. We finished the house wine (very strong for a Japanese restaurant, whose food is delicate) and left.
2 adults and 1 baby, with a starter, two misoshiros, two main dishes, 1 orange juice, 1 water and 1 bottle of wine (around 300 reais) cost approximately R$1,100.
Very old and worn out environment.

We came for my husband's birthday and it was a great dinner. From the arrival to the end. We greatly appreciate the attention of the staff, especially Bastian; Very professional, friendly, attentive, knew the menu very well and gave us good suggestions. Very nice, quiet place. Definitely to return

A place like Matsuri should be tried by everyone once in their life. Its flavors are exotic and delicate, each bite leaves you wanting to try a little more. The signature cocktail bar is unexpectedly an experience in itself, you could just go to that and you would be delighted.
What we loved most was the personalized attention, Francisco excelled; Their service is close, accurate and playful.
They gave us an anniversary dessert and it was such an emotional surprise that we were completely won over.

We were attended by Augustine, who made the best recommendations, explained everything and treated us like queens <3 My palate is annoyed by the delicacies he ate, the rolls, the octopus with native potatoes and the shrimp plin plin. I strongly recommend tartare! The atmosphere is beautiful, I want to live in that living room.
I would definitely come back and have Augustine attend us!

An incredible place, the food the best we have ever tasted, an explosion of flavors that BOF. Constanza served us and was the best, she recommended dishes to us and explained to us what each one was like, and she was very concerned about our comfort. Without a doubt a place to try. I totally recommend this restaurant, the service is very good and the explanation of the waiters helps you choose good options. Everything we tried was excellent and is so good that your palate is left wanting to continue eating.
I recommend that you order several options and share, so everyone can try all the dishes they order.

As a FAN member of Mandarin Oriental we always trust the restaurants available on the premises.
Matsuri must have been a great restaurant once but not now.
The waiter Pedro (who was having problems with two ladies in the table next to us for being rude according to them) was afable but clueless.
A dish we did not order came to the table first, servers didn’t know the name of the food being served and constantly mistook the dishes.
Everyone was kind but not to the standard of Mandarin Oriental , somewhat unprepared.
The food was NOT GOOD. Almost every dish was covered with grilled, burned parmesan cheese that overpowered the flavors of the main ingredients like shrimp, duck, scallops etc.
It was like a mall’s foodcourt food. Awful.
This restaurant does not belong at a MO hotel.
We had nikkei food at other places in Santiago much, much better than this place.
If you enjoy mediocre fast food at fine dining prices then you would like Matsuri

Wonderful restaurant in the MANDARIN ORIENTAL Hotel. Had the very best ceviche. Our waiter, Xavier, was terrific - making suggestions for truly unique and delicious menu items.

We had a great dinner experience at Matsuri! The Japanese-Peruvian fusion food was delicious and interesting. Service was very attentive and our waiter Herman had good advice about what to order after we initially choose 2 dishes that were similar. The matcha/chocolate cake was amazing!

I visited this restaurant after receiving a recommendation. It was clean because it was a hotel restaurant, and the food was delicious. It was a bit pricey, but I think it was worth it. The waitress was friendly and cute, and I didn't even notice the time passing while eating leisurely. I plan to visit next time.
