We were one of only 2 tables eating on a Monday evening. Our waiter was excellent, in understanding we just wanted tap water with ice, and then even refilling my husband's glass during the meal. That is a first in this country! He also spent extra time searching for an older wine for us, and we were very pleased with his find - 2019 Tarapaca Gran Reserva Cab. Sav. Our steaks were cooked perfectly, although my filet was a bit tough to cut, and they had excellent flavor. We enjoyed grilled vegetables and the Papas Fogon as sides. The creamy sauce with the potatoes was fantastic! (creamy, with herbs and bacon) What a pleasnat meal.

We really liked this restaurant. Great service, no need to use Google Translate: menu in English, our waiter spoke good English. Excellent food: meat little empanados, mixed ceviche, Patagonic lamb's french chops, buttered trout. And the best beer I tried in Chile, Lacustre Amber Ale. It's brewed locally in Pitrufquén and I highly recommend at least to try it in El Fogon restaurant, because I couldn't buy it anywhere even in Pucon area.

Food very good and one of the best services we had both in pucon and in chile. They serve trails of cotesia, have wines with excellent prices. Meat very tasty and highlighted for lamb ( see photo). A true gastronomic experience.

El Fogon is a really good and cozy meat restaurant.
We hurried to order 2 large pisco sour peruana, which were good - but not as good as in Peru.
After studying the menu, we ordered 2 types of grilled lamb... and then the waiter started: Well, don't you want a starter? No thanks. What about salad? No thanks. How about red wine with the meal? NO THANKS! Oddly, he didn't also ask about dessert right away... and we hadn't even received our pisco sour yet.
The meat was grilled perfectly and tasted excellent. And it was just like in Argentina: When you order meat, you get meat (here also with a few fried potatoes, nothing else).
Once again, we were annoyed by the local restaurant's practice with tips: 10% is already added to the bill in advance! That means you have to actively ask not to pay a tip to just pay the actual amount.
We chose not to complain - but between you and me: The service at El Fogon is NOT that great. It's the meat you should look forward to.

Our favorite restaurant in Chile so far! All 4 of us loved our food. Beautiful presentation of avocado and hearts of palm salad and delicious as well. Grilled salmon with julianne carrots and potato was excellent! The side of sauteed mushrooms also great. Trout with plate of veges good too. My first Chilean pisco sour was a delicious surprise. They had a good variety of beers to choose from. Wait staff was good but no one really spoke English but the menu was in both Spanish and English.

Open on Sunday!
Nice sympathetic welcome in a great place for meat lovers the “lomo lisso”and “lomo vetado” where perfectly grilled as we wanted “inglesia style” medium rare.
Great recommendation for a special Carménère red wine.

Terrible service!! I paid with Argentinan peso. The owner claimed the money is fake (although I had proof it is real). I didn't have time to argue so I gave him other bills. In return he gave me back the wrong amount of change, and refused to give me the correct one, although I showed him the amount in the calculator several times. Worst service ever!!!

We went hunting for a geocache hidden in this restaurant and the menu was so mouth watering that we decided to return for dinner. We tucked into a generous portion of succulent smoky barbecued beef ribs and were so impressed that we convinced our tour group to return the following night for Christmas Eve dinner. A great night was had by all!

My wife and I had a delightful meal here this evening
We chose different starters ands mains and each dish was delightful (portions are large)
The service was efficient and friendly hence having a wonderful evening
The restaurant clearly understands tourism as they cater for most needs with menus currency exchange etc

I ate at el Fogon several times while in Pucon, and every time I left full and happy. The food is fresh and delicious. Service took kind of long once, but it wasn't a problem. It's a comfortable place and I didn't mind waiting.
An excellent place to fill up after spending the day adventuring around Pucon.

This is a good place to eat Chilean barbecue and typical Chilean dishes, service was nice but a little bit messy. Place is clean and prices are ok with the quality
