DELICIOUS AUTHENTIC ITALIAN FOOD!!!

I live here in Pucon and this is my favorite place in all of Pucon. Rosario and her Chef Husband Pietro are wonderful and make everyone feel special. The food is the star here at this place. All meals are homemade and made to order so it does takes a while for the food to come out. But the wait is well worth it. The Fill D' Oro with Salsa Blanco and Onions is amazing. To start the Arancinis are your best bet. Also the Cannellonis stuffed with Jaiba [Crab] for me is their best meal. Best of all this place has Italian Wines!! Yes. Finally an Italian restaurant in Chile that offers Italian Wine. The Sangiovese is delicious. They have homemade Cannolis for dessert that simply divine!!! For the quality of their food, prices are appropriate. Buon appetito.

Great Italian Food

uthentic Italian ingredients are used in their dishes which are bought exclusively by its owner in speccialized stores in Santiago. The owner is by the fire spinning up dishes and desserts. Chianti wine, rare in Chile, is a great option to sip with your meal. Trattoria da Pietro has been functioning for a few years and its now in a new location more tha doubling its seating.

Great food, service and atmosphere - with free parking!

My wife and I went for dinner on 24 December. We started with a recommended blueberry Pisco Sour then ordered squid ink pasta and salads with a bottle of red wine. Everything was excellent including the garlic bread in a country surprisingly lacking good bread. Service was friendly and food was timed perfectly. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Great dinner!

We sat out on the patio and it was so nice, on a warm evening. I had fettuccini with Bolognese sauce and "tres carne", while my husband really enjoyed his squid ink risotto with squid and shrimp. The tiramisu was delicious, as was the chocolate helado for my husband. Service was fast and very friendly. Excellent Italian dinner!

The pasta is hard and not al dente

Very bad . I ordered some fettuccine with hazelnut pesto sauce. The fettuccine was hard and not “al dente”. They cooked them again and they came out fine, but the sauce that came with the pasta was now all watery and mixed with the pasta. The experience was not good.

Very good garlic bread and main dishes, very good service. Gnocchi a la sorrentina and excellent crab cannelloni, recommended!!! The pisco sour is not the best, it must be with subtle lemon! But 100% recommended!

Overpriced for a standard italian meal

The food was not half as good as i expected for the prices they charge you. The wait was so long eventhough there we're only two tables occupied at the moment. As a local i advise you not to go there, it's an absolut tourist trap

Dear Customer, We appreciate your taking the time to create an account on TripAdvisor just to write this comment on us. Although we would like to be able to please everybody with what we do, we absolutely know it is not possible and we are very sorry you didn´t enjoy the experience with us. For those who don´t know Pucon, we would like to clarify that we can hardly qualify to be a "tourist trap" since we are located outside of the touristic area, hidden behind the only staircase of a stripcenter and our restaurant cannot be seen from the street. Anyway, we understand your comment and wish you luck in your endeavours. Sincerely,

excellent Italian food

Visited the place following a friend’s advice and very happy we did so. Excellent food at a fair price plus very good Italian wine (wine a bit pricey though). Had seafood fettuccini and calamari risotto, both very well prepared, accompanied with excellent sourdough bread. Tiramisu dessert plus expresso also very good. Not a large place, but in the off-season not crowded and service was quick and friendly. Easy nearby parking, but of course this was not the high season. Highly recommended!

We came here because it was close to our accommodation and because of the good reviews on trip advisor. After a long day of travelling, both of us were very, very tired. What made this meal for me was the great service - the waitress was really enthusiastic about the wine, the food, and her job. Plus, when she realised we didn't speak much Spanish she switched into English. She gave me a good recommendation for a wine I hadn't tried before and the salad we had as an entree was really great, best we've had in Chile so far. My partner's spaghetti bolagnese had nice sauce (but the homemade pasta were a bit too noodle-like in his opinion). I had prawn and zuchinni risotto, which was good. We were here mid March on a Saturday night, and didn't really need to book, but it is a small place so in peak season you may need to.

Fantastic Food and Service!

We stumbled upon this Italian restaurant after a long day of traveling to Pucón. We were tired, and sadly we were turned away graciously at the door due to a packed restaurant. The owner must have noticed as seconds later, she had us flagged down and a neighboring restaurant lent a table for us to be seated on their patio. Rosario was a wonderful hostess, making delicious suggestions of her husbands’ cooking for our vegetarian appetites. Pisco sour with roses, lemonade, tiramisu and panna cotta were deliciously on point. Pastas were simple homemade style cooking, just what we wanted! We went back on our last night in Pucón to try the pizzas (so good!) and the torta caprese. Rosario was just as welcoming as if we had walked into her home. It was such a warm experience, will always remember her and her husbands food! Thank you Rosario!

We have dinner in this small italian restaurant with very friendly and helpful personal. We have had an excellent salad, fettucine pesto and pizza. The pesto one can have without garlic and is one of the best a ever have eaten. And we have been in good restaurants in Italy.

We arrived around 6pm, and the place was rather small, but it was worth the waiting: The taste authentical and the staff is super friendly. The gamberi e zucchini risotto was recommendable.

Authentic Italian Ingredients and Cuisine

A jewel in a corner of this strip center. The Tratorria is run by its owners, lovely and friendly couple, who go out their way to give you a delicious culinary experience. All ingredients are fromItaly and purchasedin Santiago. We tried a total of furmain courses and they were all delicious andunique. The chianti wine should not be missed.Highly recommended.

Delicious food, friendly hosts

We had a lovely, relaxed dinner at La Trattoria da Pietro. The service was delightful - friendly and efficient. For food we had a house salad to start (fresh and simple) and for mains had the shrimp risotto and the bolognese. Both pastas were great-tasting and sizable. We would recommend to anyone looking for good Italian food in Pucon!
