Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

This quaint old home turned restaurant serves as a wonderful backdrop for a relaxing meal. The old rooms throughout the first floor serve as dinning rooms. Patrons seat themselves as space permits. We were there by ship and found the restaurant well attended but available. Our fish and chip order were promptly served and the local fish, the name of which evades me, was white, tender, and moist. I shared my portion with my wife and it was an ample lunch. Others in our party, two Australians, ate theirs with ease and enjoyed there meal as well. It was interesting to note the beverages, Coke and a Woodpecker cider, were both imported from Great Britain. This place is very close the the dock, a church, and a souvenir shop. Payment was by credit card, but US dollars, the English Pound, and of course other more local currencies are also accepted.

If it's worth doing once, do it twice, thrice and more. That's the Waterfront Kitchen. Great food, a lovely location, excellent service, and a warm friendly atmosphere. We had afternoon tea (twice), a couple of great dinners ( the curries and seafood are amazing, with the toothfish a real highlight), and tea and cake on a couple of occassions too. So if you judge a place by how often their customers come back, then this place deserves its 5 star rating.

Nicely located on the waterfront and it’s a casual dining experience. Had lunch here with friends. Good size portions and tasty food but expensive. The coffee was nearly £5 which even for the Falklands I think is a little pricey.

The only reason I came is to do some business related movements in my accounts and it was worthless... 8USD an hour and I couldn’t access my account or download anything, very disappointed cause comming in a cruise we don’t have many choices to browse the web. They shouldn’t advertise WIFI hotspot in the outside first because they charge like it’s the best and second because it doesn’t work as expected. Cake and tea were fab, staff not so much. You smile at them and they look at your like they’re having a terrible day.

In Stanley for a few months and visited for an evening meal with friends and family. Steak and Squid the chosen main courses and all excellently cooked with excellent customer service. The restaurant has an excellent layout with ample space between tables. The food is not unreasonably priced and offers good value.

Whilst on Holiday with my wife in the Falkland Islands, we ate at the Waterfront three times over two weeks. The food is very, very good and their wine list is also very good. Definitely the high end of eating out in FI. One note of caution though is that they could do with a few more Vegi dishes. The ones that have are fantastic, but a bit more choice would be very welcome. This is a suggestion, not a criticism :-)

The Waterfront Kitchen & Café belongs to the Waterfront Hotel and is located in the modest boulevard of Port Stanley next to the church. The café offers tea & coffees, soft drinks & pastries, sandwiches & tostados, breakfast & lunch dishes. A password for WiFi sets you back GBP 10. While visiting Port Stanley we spotted the café and went for a cappuccino and WiFi. The coffee wasaverage and the was WiFi slow.

Delightful restaurant set on the edge of the bay. Limited seating, something to be aware of if you arrive on a cruise ship. Cozy interior. I ordered at the counter and they brought the food to my table. I ordered the Fish & Chips and it also came with peas. The fish was good but not great. The batter was thin and flaked off easily. They have better hours than most of the other restaurants.

The Waterfront Kitchen is a great place to eat with lovely views of the Stanley coastal inlet. Visited for lunch and had a tasty salad and sandwich. Busy with local folk who were chatty and welcoming. The Waterfront staff are lovely and very helpful. I definite must if you are looking for a great place to eat.

Best advice - call for a reservation the day before. We didn’t and were only seated because we arrived at 6PM AND promised we would be finished by 7PM - the place was packed when we left. Excellent food and service -Highly Recommended!!

Best restaurant in Stanley - the food was excellent quality, varied in choice and the atmosphere was nice. Staff were pleasant and efficient. Open all day with a breakfast and lunchtime menu I saw on the board, plus some specials for winter. Highly recommend the desserts especially they were great, came back just for that the next day (you can have them as afternoon tea!). More expensive than other places in Stanley, but it seems you get what you pay for. Also a good view from the window side tables. Cheers

We visited the island for two days from a cruise ship. I was on a Quark voyage to Antarctica. We had a whole day in Stanley and the island, so we were able to get lunch in this wonderful little restaurant. This was one of the best desserts I've had in a long time. I had the Chicken Pad Thai that was okay ... nothing to write home about. All of the desserts looked amazing, but I was very happy with my choice!

Great coffee, really friendly staff, tasty food, good service, lovely contemporary decor and a great view. What more can you ask? They also do coffee to take out. Definitely my favourite place to eat out in Stanley.
