My wife and I ate here with another couple on the recommendation of a local we talked to about a good place to eat in Stanley. We were told if you would like to experience a classic English pub atmosphere here in Stanley then Victory Bar should be your choice. The advice was spot on. The seating is very limited so you may have to wait if there are cruise ships in town. We got a table but shortly thereafter it was standing room only with people waiting to get a seat. The fish and chips were very good and we enjoyed a good hard apple cider as well.

This place had great atmosphere, just like you'd want in a Falklands pub. It's pretty small inside and I would imagine could get very full when the cruise boats are in. The service was extremely friendly - almost made me feel like a local! The only (minor) disappointment was the fish & chips - a very small serving for the price and just not quite as good as they were hyped up to be. Overall, definitely the best bar we went to in Port Stanley (and we tried all of them!) and would go back again.

As a Brit this great little pub was a home from home for me. It was hard to imagine that you were thousands of miles from the UK as it had everything that you would find in a pub back home in Britain. There is the usual selection of beer both international and domestic as well as wines, spirits and soft drinks. A dart board and a TV provide in pub entertainment. The only downside to the place is that it’s not tremendously big so if a tourist ship arrives and everyone pours in the place can get a bit crowded. If you are an overseas traveller and not from the UK don’t worry if you don’t have Pounds. The place accepts Euros, US Dollars and even Chilean Pesos too. Naturally Argentina is the place from which a lot of Falkland Island tours start from and you may still have a wallet stuffed full of Pesos, but unfortunately you cannot spend the Argentine Peso in the Falklands. Admittedly from the outside it doesn’t look much like a pub but once you pass through the doors you will be bowled over by its charm, British authenticity and friendly bar staff. Hey it even has a black cat..

My wife and I stopped here for a beer and lunch while walking around Stanley. We both ordered a Falkland Beerworks on tap which was absolutely disgusting. It was warm and tasteless. We both ordered their Fish n Chips which was by far the worst Fish n Chips we have ever had anywhere in the world. The fish was soaked in oil and grease and the fish was cold inside. The fries were also soaked in oil and grease and disgusting. Our meal was totally inedible. The employees here were quite rude as well.

Could not believe how rude and objectionable the staff were...no menu, told that they only did fish snd chips or piss off...no credit cards. Went elsewhere and had a nice lunch, everyone on the boat said that it was the most unpleasant place they had ever visited. Barmaid was very rude, we walked out. As Scots, we we were embarrassed when folk thought it was british service...a dump to be avoided

We shared fish n chips. There was only 3 options on offer. Chicken and chips and another which I am unable to remember. The fish was grenadier fish which was a mild fish similar to cod or haddock. This was cooked well, flakey and moist with a nice batter. The chips were standard frozen chips unlike chip shop chips. Therefore as I look to sample fish n chips everywhere I roam I am unable to place this sample in my list if great fish n chips😉There is a local ale on tap and a selection of bottled beers. You can pay in dollars but receive Falkland currency in change which is not accepted in GB!

Visit whilst on Hurtigruten cruise and had to have lunch here. Beer and fish and chips was superb. Friend traveling with avowed that as good as she remembered when in Falklands in 1982 as part of British Forces liberating the Islands from Argentines. Brilliant and shows that no make over required if beer and food is up to standard. A proper British pub just a shame one has to travel halfway round the world to find such authenticity.

We thought we would pop into the local bar whilst visiting Port Stanley for a pint and fish and chips. Had the most unfriendly and rude welcome ever. We were told no beer left and no fish and chips. Basically told to go down the road to another venue that served fish and chips. Apparently the older barmaid was quite hostile to quite a few people we talked to on that day, telling them the brits had drunk the bar dry!! I’m actually pleased there was no fish and chips left as when I had a good look around the place it was very dirty and could have done with a good spring clean. I certainly wouldn’t recommend this establishment to anyone. A smile and friendly welcome costs nothing! I’m surprised they still have a business.

Whether a local or cruise line passenger, this is a good place to watch the tender lines on cruise day. Have a pint and wait until the line goes down! CASH ONLY but take Euros or USD$ and give change in $USD. Remember the British like their beer warm. The Falklands Draft IPA was excellent, but not cold. They have cold bottles though!

More English than England. We were one of two ships in town so maybe they were overwhelmed. I got the last seat at the bar and had a really good local pint of beer. Lunch was fish and chips or fish and chips. I had the fish and chips. The fish was good and the chips were ok. Was served faster than i thought would be so that was good. Staff were not chatty.

Victory is a very small pub, yet great local atmosphere. It can get very crowded quickly. Limited menu traditional British Fish and Chips, smash peas were good. Local beer was also good.

Such a lovely visit! Great friendly service in a fun local place. Stopped in after a local recommendation and had a lovely time. Super busy so a bit of a wait for food but worth it. Prices are reasonable too. Funky little pub with English charm.

Dropped in for a pint whilst visiting Stanley on a cruise ship. Barman not friendly and welcoming at all. Rudely said no credit cards when asked. Local draught ale was nice but noticed all the locals were drinking bottles and cans which seemed strange.

Lovely pub, good beers, great staff... I had the Number 7 chilli con carne for lunch, which was lovely, just not hot enough! I would certainly have it again though! The chips with it were perfect, crispy outside and fluffy inside. I keep being warned about how chilli hot food is in far flung places.... even upsetting a chef in Namibia once, when i ate every bite and said "Good, but not hot enough" 😂😂😂😂😂 No real moans here though...

You can have a pint in the most Southerly pub in the world but don’t expect much more than that. The fish n chips were very poor, shame really as we came off a ship along with 170 others so they had a captive audience but clearly aren’t bothered
