Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great busy place during the day. Stopped off for a beer and a sandwich. Lafone Goose Pate if you are a carnivore and their home made hummus with flatbread if you aren't. Great place to refuel, plus their Wifi seems to be as fast as anywhere on the Islands :-)

Great atmosphere. I wanted to try the fresh local squid but it was only offered fried. I asked for sautéed and they accommodated. Delicious. Husband had their fish and chips and the fish was one of the best I’ve had for that dish. A very firm fish. Fun place while in Stanley.

This is a really friendly local pub that happens to have a real pizza oven in the back. They don't skimp on anything. I had the BBQ Chicken Pizza and it had loads of chicken and soooo much cheese. They have a pool table and Kevin, who runs the show is a friendly host.

We had a good dining experience in this place. Friendly, Chilean staff greeted and served us fish and chips. I wish I had local beer, which they ran out due to heavy demand - two cruise ships on the port.

We stopped in for tea and pastries after our tour to Volunteer Point. The Narrows was a delightful experience. It was casual, and the pastries very good.

We were staying at Liberty Lodge so the Narrows only being a couple of hundred yards down road it was a convenient watering hole, maybe too convenient. An Argie band tried to set up and play in the interests of "friendship and mutual respect", when we were there. After their behaviour in 82 his was a lead balloon so they were thrown out at the high port.

I visited for a late lunch, but unfortunately they had stopped serving meals, so settled for a slice of the pancake cake and a pot of tea. The cake was lovely I also had a take away biscuit which was also very nice. Whilst I was visiting I asked to see the menu for lunch and evening meal. Both menus looked fantastic on enquiry with the staff they told me that the food is also locally sourced.

Great place with choice of sitting in table area or cosy settee based area. Ate lunch twice here and both times excellent service and food. The squid platter is to dies for and also the hummus in 2 flavour varieties. Unfortunately they had no Rockhopper beer left, 2 recent cruise ships meant they had sold out! Recommend for luch..

We have been several times to the Barrow's lounge during our stay in Stanley. The staff is always welcoming, the food is delicious (we highly recommend the seafood tapas and the Mexican tapas) and the atmosphere is really pleasant either for a drink with friend or to peacefully work (it is a good wifi hotspot) while drinking beer. We have visited a few other restaurant during our stay in Stanley and this is definitely one of the best! Big thank to the team!

Very friendly bar & lounge! We were there after seeing the penguins on Bertha’s Beach and I had coffee and nice scone 😋Some others fish & chips. I gave a little souvenir from KLM (salt&pepper ‘wooden shoes’) but photo is on my other camera 😉The guy behind the bar made all the menu drawings and also outside! Really recommend this place ❤️

We, 11 veterans from 82 were staying at Liberty Lodge and the Narrows was only about 200m away so was very popular. Most of the staff were Chilean. Good drinks and a fine menu. An Argentinian folk band turned up to play when we were there but got well seen off.

Visited Narrows during our one day stay in Stanley on the way to Antarctica. The f&c luncheon was delicious and well prepared. Nice crew in place.
