Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We found the food and beer good but the service was slow and rather disorganized. Our waiter had to go around the entire restaurant to count how may had ordered fish and chips because he had lost count. We had Pounds Stirling from England, which they accepted but rejected one 20 pound bill because it was too old. The atmosphere was good and everyone was having a good time.

You can hang out at several bars and drink/wait until the tender lines go down before hopping on. This is the closest to the pier. CASH only but will give US$ change. The Falklands IPA was great here as well, but also warm. Stick to bottle beer if you like it cold.

If any none UK guy thinks of how a typical English pub should look like, here you have it. It is down to the cliches. But also to the cliches is that the beer is warm and does not taste good. After those beers we then knew why the locals preferred Peroni (and that said a lot)

Ashamed to be British. This pub is immediately by the drop off point by the tourist information office. Our group went into the bar. The English man in front ordered 3 pints all short measures and paid 14 pounds. The French man also ordered 3 pints and asked to pay in Euros. The barman said 14 pounds that’s 28 euros. The French man said that’s double and the barman said that’s the exchange rate as it’s Sunday! We left in disgust and went just up the hill to a pub where the locals drink. 3 pints £9. Walk the extra 50 yards.

After having good lunch at nearby The Narrows Lounge & Cafe, I wanted to taste local beer at this bar. The place was crowded due to two cruise ships on the dock. There were no one to greet, seat us or take order. I ordered a local beer. The burly bar tender had no smiles on his face ,rudely took my money and dispensed a mug of beer, which was at room temperature, this was summer mind you. There are plenty of other bars around. Don't waste your time or money here.

Definitely skip this pub on your visit to Stanley. There was zero organization as far as ordering drinks or food, and there were no bar stools so you had to stand if you wanted to drink at the bar. There were no local beers so have fun drinking Heineken. The bartenders were not amused at a bunch of tourists in their bar, and were overall cranky and short with each patron. The inside is very small and cramped. There was nothing special about this place.

An old fashioned pub with a simple menu, fish and chips or fish and chips. Add to that a decent locally brewed beer and it's difficult to want anything else. The pub reflects the community. Simple, straightforward and honest. Rule Britannia!.

The Manager/Owner was a big Samoan type. He really wasn't bothered about serving anyone. The place was 1/4 full. I asked for a local beer. "Sold out" He had Newcastle Beer on the pump I asked for a pint of it. "Sold out" he replied. "What beer have you got" I asked. "A few bottles in the glass counter" He walked away and proceeded to empty the galss washer. I asked for a couple of G&T's "I'll get them in a minute, I'm busy now" At this we walked out

Great pub with good atmosphere. Be aware they only take cash! Catches a few cruise visitors out! Reasonable prices and local beer on drought.

We stopped in and had a couple of beers. It is a nice clean place with good service. I would like to go there in the winter when the weather is bad. I have a feeling that is when it is at its best. I can imagine people having a good time there.
