The choice to eat at Mr Biryani did not disappoint. The welcome was first rate. We had an excellent discussion and description of the food, where the spices and recipes came from in southern India. We were discouraged from ordering too much food so we could enjoy what we had ordered. The Dhum dishes were truly enjoyable. The lime soda was very refreshing. Thank you for enhancing our visit to Little India.

My son and his wife took us here for our lunch and it was fabulous. Our waiter was so well informed and made a few suggestions for us to try and each one was delicious. We shared most of our entrees which included, Lamb Biryani, Hyderabad Chicken Dhum Biryani, Vegetarian Biryani and garlic Naan. There was one additional dish that I cannot remember the name of but it too was the bomb. Definitely make sure you stop at this restaurant if you are visiting Singapore.

A small restaurant in terms of seating, we ordered the dhum mutton briyani recommended by the waiter was probably 1 of the best in Singapore, beautiful fragrant rice, tender mutton on the bone, curry & yogurt was perfect accompaniment. We also ordered the garlic naan that was very light with pastry buttery flavor. The waiting staff was very efficient, friendly and helpful.

Ordered via Mr Briyani website two days in advance of delivery date. At the scheduled time of delivery, it hadn’t arrived. I called half an hour later, to be told that their driver had left 10 minutes ago and should arrive at mine in a few minutes. lol and behold, 1 full further hour later, my food had not arrived!!!! When I called again to find out what on earth was happening , I was told that they were dealing with a lot of orders.....which doesn’t explain to me how their driver who allegedly left an hour ago failed to find his way to my place. At this time, almost 2 hrs have elapsed since the scheduled delivery time. I still have not received my food. Somehow I don’t think the quality of the food will justify the wait regardless of how it tastes

We ordered for our friends birthday and were very much looking forward to it. The delivery arrived on time and we received good feedback on the chicken biriani. However the lamb shank biriani was not cooked through. It was also the most expensive dish and we could barely tear the meat off. All of us who ate that dish had stomach problems thereafter too. I wrote in privately to share feedback on the good and bad experience, to be neutral. I received a prompt reply, apology and offer to send us a lamb shank the next time we ordered from them. That was a kind and nice gesture. Unfortunately when it came to the actual see through, they didn’t even reply my email (till date) requesting for the above for the next order we made. This makes it even more dissatisfied. While they have good chicken biriani, an apology for the lamb shank may have been enough. However to be offered the free lamb shank and later just not see through is not ideal. They may be busy or overwhelmed, but a simple email reply would have been nice. We do hope they rectify their lamb shank as well.

I went to this place for lunch today. Since I am hypersensitive to curd based products I always inform in advance that I don't need Raita which is served along with Biryani. Instead, I request for 2 pieces of fresh-cut lime. Today the manager tells m that no lime will be given henceforth and it's chargeable. It's the order of owner Govind and he cannot do anything about it. The management needs to learn from restaurants like Dindigul Thalapakatti, Kumbhakarna, MTR, BBQ Tonight and various others on customer relationships who always go the extra mile to serve the customer. Singapore DNA is customer-centricity and this place does the opposite. If this is how the restaurant wants to do penny-pinching or pocket pinching of loyal customers then I am speechless. Really disgusting and repulsive behaviour on the part of the manager who says he has more than 20 years of experience in F&B.

Had dinner here with friends and it was a good experience. There was an initial hiccup over a missing reservation but, luckily for us, another party failed to turn up and we finally got a table. The starter of crispy keropok was good, especially when paired with the Bhindi palli fry and the Gobi Manchurian, which was fried okra bits in sambal. We ordered the Hyderabad chicken dhum biryani and the Vegetarian Brinjal dhum biryani. Both rice were nicely spiced and fluffly and full of flavor. The brinjal had disintegrated into the rice, so much so that we mainly just saw the stems of the vegetables. The chicken was cooked nicely and was soft and full of flavor. We also liked the Andhra mutton fry. It was tasty, though I prefer the mutton mysore at our usual Indian fave, Samy’s. We also tried the fresh lime soda, sweet and salty version - it was refreshing, though expensive at $9.80 before tax for two glasses. Service was good and friendly, and quick. It is a small place with limited tables, though staff did mention they had opened a second store nearby at Chander Road. They do have two tables along the corridor, but there are no fans, and there is constant music and cigarette smoke from the bistro next door.

The worst ever service and delivery. We ordered for 2 family packs today around 11am for 1-2pm delivery time slot. It’s already 3.30pm, we are yet to receive the items. The behaviour of the owner is worst. He talks unprofessionally. He is not even giving the status of the order till now, not even picking the phone. I never recommend this restaurant for anyone for their bad service and attitude.

After hearing so much of hype, I sent my nephew to pick up 4 packets of Briyani. Our order was for 2 chicken, 1 mutton and 1 lamb. We received instead 3 chicken and I mutton. I can’t fault the Briyani, it was flavourful and not oily. The chicken portion was small. The mutton had a big bone with scarcely any meat! For the prices we paid we certainly deserve better. Will I go back again? Maybe just to buy the plain Briyani rice. Otherwise, there are far better options, and way more affordable too!

I placed an order for delivery to my office. The order was confirmed at 12.13pm and scheduled to arrive between 1.30pm to 2.30pm. At 2.25pm, I placed a call to the restaurant and spoke to 2 staff who were congenial and responded politely. They told me that the driver attempted to make a delivery and when he called the number on record, a person told him no orders were made. I asked for the number on record and confirmed that it was my number. I checked my phone and there was a missed call. I told the guy it's not possible for his rider to have spoken to anyone from that number. I then requested that the delivery be made again. 10 minutes later, someone called me and said he is delivering the food. He then asked me to meet at the driveway of the building I worked at. I refused point blank as my delivery fee was for delivery to my office unit not the driveway. He then argued vehemently on this stating that he has multiple orders to do. I tried to get a word in but he argued relentlessly. In the end I had to hang up the call because he was extremely rude and refused to deliver to my office unit. I sent him a message of my office address and typed "Please send to my office unit. This is non-negotiable". The conduct of the riders plays a very important role in the overall dining experience of customers especially during this period. As we are not allowed to dine in, we rely on other factors such as the food, response to our queries and the delivery to gauge the chances of patronising a shop again. Sadly, whilst the people I spoke to at the restaurant were polite and professional, that has been marred by the inconceivable attitude of the riders. The riders in this incident are, by far, the most horrible I have come across. The food can be nicely cooked, the presentation can be gastronomic and even the prices can be reasonable but when faced with trashy human behaviour, there is nothing more damaging to business reputation. The worst part? I was too livid to speak to the rider when he came and he made a passing remark about my lack of appreciation. What should I appreciate? His rudeness? The fact that he argued about sending the food to my office? His lazy attitude towards sending the food to my office? I would not know which to pick.

I was a little skeptical to begin with at first, since it was my maiden visit. It was a little crowded as I went late in the evening. And it looked like just another Indian restaurant. But no regrets at all! The staff were super polite and attentive. Thank you so much for regularly checking back on our table to see if we needed anything. We ordered the gongura mutton, Goan fish curry and gobi manchurian with our biryani and rose soda. It was such a pity that we didn't have enough 'room' to try the masala chai which is famed to be thick and nice. It will definitely be on our order next time. We were given complimentary desserts and the coconut candy was yummy. It wasn't too sweet. It felt so homely. Honestly, I am not a mutton person. But the gongura mutton upped the biryani game for sure. Sweet staff, great food and warm ambience. Will definitely return soon to try other dishes off the menu.

Very bad customer service, please don't waste time . Rude staff. Even before seating so many laws are laid . For 8 people two small tables were given, when asked to attach one more table the staff were extremely rude.

This place is truly a hidden gem. Their Indian food is exquisite and authentic. The owner of this place is a humble and friendly dude who is very willing to share with you about his food. It was our first time here but we were welcomed with so much warmth. :) As for the food, we ordered the $88 Briyani set which comes with a number of meats, vegetable, and appetisers that you could choose from. Their masala chai was a complete delight to end the meal. We're really touched by the wonderful quality of service we received at this outlet. The food was equally matched in taste. If you're looking for yummy, authentic and spicy Indian food, this is the place to be. :)

Menu says to order via WhatsApp. Messaged with no response till we called. Was then told to order online. When ordering online as part of the set the system does not let you choose two of the same biryanis. This was then confirmed by the guy on WhatsApp. Our friends tried the other biryanis which they said was not so good and we were not interested in trying anything other than the Hyderabad biryani. The WhatsApp person didn’t offer any solutions and just said that it’s Not possible. If he was even remotely friendly on the phone or WhatsApp we would have considered but unfortunately he sounded uninterested and not in need of business.

Service fantastic, food very very tasty and delicious….tried a few new things like the Masala tea and the Okra with peanuts and curry leaves which were amazing. We dropped by the original location but apparently they also have a new location. Norris road location was comfortable and intimate which made a change for the larger restaurants. Would highly recommend the 65 chicken, okra and the chicken off the bone Biriyani. Would defo go again and try the other location. 👍 well done Mr Biriyani, see you post things on insta and certainly lived up to expectations.
