Very tasty and fun food, nice drinks and super friendly and attentive staff. I had the Sloppy Chan and the Salted Ice-Cream Bao and they were both delicious! The perfect place to treat yourself to a solo dinner date💃 (and their merch is cute!)

I read about Little Bao in a travel magazine on 2018, and this november that I was in Hong Kong with my husband, we had a lunch on his restaurant in Central. And Little Bao achieved all our expectations! The local is tiny, but confortable....Seated in a hight table in front of the kitchen you can see how the baos are cooked. All their baos are amazing and the little baos full of delicious ice cream as a desert, is something unforgetable. We enjoyed so much this meal that we decided to repeat in their restaurant located in Causeway area. If you're in Hong Kong, don't miss it...More

Went to their Central location and had a reservation. Place is small with mostly bar seating which we enjoy. Attentive service and we tried the sharp tacos and dumplings for appetizers, and one beef and fish (halibut) bao for mains. All dishes were delicious, we'll...definitely come back. They also serve local craft beer or classic cocktails with a twist. Great place!More

Nice food, terrible service. The male server with long hair is very condescending, the other woman just could not care less.

On my own on a work trip and found Little Bao nearby. Tiny restaurant with guests sitting at the bar in front of kitchen staff. I had pork belly Bao bun with truffle chips, followed by ice cream and caramel sauce in a (brioche?) bun....AmazingMore

…and I bet it will be delicious! All of the items I tried (the ginger chips, pork bao, lamb ribs and beef bao) were of the highest quality and would be the highlight dish in most restaurants. The lamb ribs and pork bao in particular...were divine. Fantastic cocktails as well.More

We were very pleased to see Little Bao return to Central near the end of 2021. This has been a great reintroduction to the food and dining scene in the area. This place is located along Shin Hing Street just south of Gough Street and...is a great place to try local, urban HK cuisine. Opening hours are 12-4pm (lunch) and 6-10pm (dinner) from Tue-Sun (closed on Mondays). Sit at the bar, grab a menu and pick from the their bao sandwiches and starters. They have a couple of desserts and a fair number of drinks on offer. I like the Brussel sprouts and truffle fries starters and really like the pork belly and fried chicken boas. These look great and taste delicious. Definitely worth trying if you want to try genuinely unique, modern HK cuisine while visiting the city.More

We had been looking forward to visiting Little Bao for a number of years since seeing it mentioned on a tv program and finally got there last night. It does exactly as advertised. I had the Belly Pork Bao which was, quite correctly, recommended in...the tv program and my wife had a delicious shellfish dish. Both were straight forward, simple and absolutely delicious. Perfect. The staff were great and I was really impressed with the way the team worked. Everything is prepared and cooked in front of the customer and between serving everything is immediately cleaned down ready for the next order. Really super to see. Absolutely nothing to fault and everything to recommend.More

Little Bao closed down their very popular restaurant on Staunton a few years back shortly after opening their larger diner in Causeway Bay. However, they have now reopened in Soho with this new place on Shin Hing Street, which resembles the old setup they had...on Staunton in the past. Opening hours are 12-4pm (lunch) and 6-11pm (dinner), closed on Mondays. Here you find a classic diner setup with around 18 seats, most lining the open kitchen where you can watch the kitchen staff assemble tasty, Hong Kong Cool fusion cuisine, anchored by the famous Little Bao signature buns. We are big fans of the Pork Belly and Chicken Bao sandwiches, made with white rice buns. The Impossible bao is really good as well. They do good sides like the truffle fries and Brussels sprouts and have a handful of monthly specials worth looking into as well. Drinks and desert options are simple and complement their famous mains and sides well. Our first meal at the newly opened Little Bao was very good, one we will repeat soon now that they are back in Soho! Yes!!!More

We visited Little Bao for lunch today. We specifically chose Little Bao because the owner's credentials were impressive. We also had high expectations because the prices are high ie 1 Chicken Bao 98HK, mocktails 48HK. Firstly the mocktails. They were served in a lack-lustre glass...that was full of ice so that after a couple of sips it was gone. The guava mocktail looked great and was tasty, however the yuzu mocktail looked like a glass of cordial and pretty much tasted like a glass of cordial. My husband ordered a Chicken Bao for his lunch. When it arrived it looked like a pale hamburger. The meat to veg portions were disappointing. Considering the meat was deep-fried, there really needs to be a good-sized portion of slaw/salad or pickle to break through the fat of the deep-fried chicken. It's never a good sign when you leave a restaurant with empty pockets and still hungry. My son and I had the 2 person meal option which was made up of 4 entree selections, 1 Bao each, 1 dessert each and a drink. We chose the popcorn chicken which was delicious but could've benefitted from a dipping sauce but the side of pickles was yummo!! We also got the pork-rib dumplings and shrimp wontons-yum. So entrees comprised of 4 deep-fried delicacies. In hindsight we probably should have opted for a veg side, although by memory the majority of sides were deep-fried. Then it was onto the Baos. I had the pork which was so greasy. Again it should have a pickled slaw or veg with a light salad. The herb they had was horrible, can't think of the name, makes me think of mung beans, but not mung beans. Son had chicken teriyaki Bao which he said was too greasy. Dessert followed, again, deep-fried Bao. Lovely combo but after a whole meal of deep-fried food, it was just too much. Approximately 750HK later for a family of 2 adults and a child, we walked out quite disappointed.More

This place serves some unique bao(s) that are surprisingly good. The signature pork belly bao with the slow-braised pork belly, sesame mayo and shiso leek salad is tasty as usual where as the appetizers such as the shrimp taco and pan-fried dumplings aren't as exceptional...yet very tasty. The hidden gem, ice cream bao was terrifically good and definitely gotta order it during the visit. All the goodies here come with hefty price tags which is a bit of a turn off.More

Visited the CWB outlet. Friendly staff. Lovely clean simple and bright Resturant. Is a little weird they ask for your name and mobile before sitting for their record. Tried the truffle fries, pork noodles and a few buns. Love the fries. Everything in general was...very tasty. Small options though on the menu and because of that we may visit every few months only. If the outdoor furniture was touched up, we would have sat outside on this lovely day. Do recommend ! Great for touristsMore

I only eat Chinese steamed buns if the quality is good but the ones you get in dim sum places are filled with fatty meat or fillings that are too sweet. Little Bao which turns the boring steamed buns into burgers. The menu is simple,...dishes for sharing, baos and dessert. I was there for the Bao only so I ordered the chicken one. ★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★ Chicken Bao: Chicken, black vinegar glaze, szechuan mayo, napa cabbage, coleslaw. It was definitely dinky and lives up to its name Little Bao. I loved the texture of the steamed but, it was soft but not too soft that it held together well as a burger bun and the filling in the middle was amazing. The crispy chicken was delicious with the tart medley of julienne cabbage and coleslaw with a gorgeous creamy taste that got jazzed up with szechuan mayo. The szechuan mayo did not have a fiery tone but had a slow tingling sensation that accumulated when you finished the bun and there was a fragrant taste of szechuan peppercorn. The only flaw was that it was not hot enough temperature wise. Anyway, while other bao competitors failed in Hong Kong, Little Bao is evidently successful. The new diner is much more hip and stylish compared to Central.More
