Went here to try one of the most well-known Turkish street foods, the doner kebab. I chose this place because they still grill the meat using charcoal and in order to avoid the more touristy places nearby. It did not disappoint. First, be aware that...even though they open early, the kebab is served only starting with 12 o'clock. We didn't know (an consequently didn't plan for) this, included it in our morning visit to the Grand Bazaar, but had to return the next day. And also, they're a cash only operation. Frequented mostly by locals and a few in-the-know tourists. The place is very small, there are only three tables outside, but luckily we didn't have to wait very long until two spots opened. They serve the kebab in various forms and sizes, differing in the vehicle that carries the meat (half bread, lavash wrap, pita bread or simply meat on a plate) and the quantity (50/80/100/120/150 grams). We went for a doner in pita bread and a kasarli durum doner (a doner wrap with added melted cheese) accompanied by the mandatory ayran. Both doners were full of flavour, cooked and spiced just right, a dream. We ordered a second cheesy doner, that's how good it was. Service was quite slow, mainly because there are a lot of locals who come and buy their doners to go and the cheesy doners take quite a long time to prepare. But that didn't subtract from the experience, on the contrary. You can watch the crowds of people roaming the bazaar. Definitely recommended, definitely worth a visit!More

Our tour guide suggested this place and she was right. The place was busy, but the service was quick and very reasonably priced. Highly recommended!

We had a very tasty doner kebab at this small place in the Grand Bazaar. It was also quickly served by friendly staff and at a very reasonable price.

A beef wrap and 2 bottles of water for 22 liras was a great deal! It’s a very small busy place in the crowded bazaar, but the workers made customer service seem like a breeze and speak good English! Plus my wrap was yummy! If...you can find it, don’t think twice.More

When we reached the Grand Bazaar, it was way past lunchtime and we were quite hungry after touring the Hagia Sofia and the Topkapi Palace. Our guide suggests having something to eat first and took us to Gul Ebru for the doner kebabs stating that...it was the best in the bazaar. And he was very right. This a very small place but packed with patrons, the sandwiches were fresh, tender and tasty. Which proved the traffic at the place.More

It is tucked around one of the many small walkways & corners of the gold bazaar. The wonderful personnel has changed very little over the years. The unmistakable taste of charcoal grilled stale Döner has certainly stayed the same. I have been going there for...over thirty years. The seating is quite limited, but it is worth it.More

I ate there by accident in 2012 and was pretty tasty, so I had to come back to relive that good sensation. Good kebab, better homemade grenade juice!

After wandering in the grand bazzar for a while, we were attracted to their kebab. We decided to give it a try even though we just had lunch. The beef kebab was amazing good and the staff are very friendly.

I was taken here recently by my tour guide. Oh my goodness, what a find! Donor kebabs were so delicious. Try the very thin wrap around the meat. I never eat donor kebabs in London and I ate two in this lovely little place. Best...fast food I've ever eaten!! I love the tiny little chips inside, too. Tables rotate very quickly so just wait a few minutes if you have time. You will not be disappointed. I love the owner too - a lovely chap! Great experience in the Grand Bazaar.More

I hardly decided what to order: everything I saw smelled good and looked good, It was crowded, like everywhere in Kapali Carsi, but it seemed that nobody cared about it. So, go with a flow.

For people who need to eat quickly while doing the grand bazaar or environs, this is a great fix. Great doner kebab, served very quickly (a bonus as seats here are at a premium). Prices here are expensive compared to most places in Turkey but...you are at the Grand Bazaar and the food is very good quality.More
