Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

At Fiza I ordered one mutton rogan josh and one chicken curry (the latter recommended by a previous reviewer). Asked for the items ordered to be hot (spicy), and they were accordingly spicy. I enjoyed that. I also wound up ordering three steamed rice portions [instead of four as I previously have done in Flavours of Masala; I found the portion size of the rice to be more generous here than at Flavours (price per bowl same at 20 somoni)].
Only issue at Fiza is that the mutton rogan josh and the chicken curry were almost indistinguishable; what I got served was not really mutton rogan josh and I was not particularly impressed with the meat; it could have been anything. Ironically, I enjoyed it slightly more than the chicken curry (where, at least, clearly chicken pieces were visible) but the curry had a slightly sour after-taste; still was good but could have been better.
Gravies were thick for both dishes; I liked that. [Fiza’s rendition of rogan josh certainly was a lot better than the watery and tasteless rogan josh mess I was served at Flavours.] I am something of a mutton rogan josh aficianado. I have ordered it about two dozen times in the last eight months: Best have been in Fakhr-e Kashmir (Bahrain) and Bombay Biriyani House (Baku). Previously noted that gravy is good at Khushi (Tbilisi) but the dish is marred by too many bones. I first sampled mutton rogan josh in London in the mid-1990s.
Other reflections on Fiza:
I would improve the items on the drinks menu. Why not sweet lassi? Isn't this standard fare? Some sparkling water would have been nice in place of still Bon Aqua [which I ordered in the end with no other choice at hand (downing, greedily, a whole liter after the spicy meal)]. As for still water, I prefer the local brand Obi Nukra. While I prefer Georgian sparkling water (lately I have been taking Bodriani), there is the inexpensive local Obi Zulol, which is okay also. Another observation: Tea with milk at 25 somoni seems expensive.
Place is fine. Just a little hot at 530pm when I turned up necessitating stripping down to my tee-shirt. Might have used the aircon until 645pm when temperature dropped with the sun setting. Clientele is mostly Indian on my observation (80%) so speaks to the genuineness of the cuisine in the main. Place is fine. Just a little hot at 530pm when I turned up necessitating stripping down to my tee-shirt. Might have used the aircon until 645pm when temperature dropped with the sun setting. (Outside, the sign for the restaurant might be placed adjacent to the entrance instead of at the corner of the structure. That would avoid confusion. Note: Signage is no longer as it is depicted in the photo used by TA.)
Service might be ever so slightly more attentive if the customer has to knock on the kitchen door to get a third portion of rice but, in all other respects, service was fine.
Would I go again? Maybe. I just fear that I would end up ordering two dishes that would (again) taste about the same. Apart from spiciness, the joy of Indian food (like that of Chinese in the same respect) is the variety of flavors. By the way, Fiza is more "purist" as it shuns almost entirely Indian versions of Chinese dishes (possible exception: chicken chili) -- I am okay with that. What would be nice would be if they had a tandoor so they could prepare tandoori chicken and latcha parotha (the latter on the menu but not served). I didn't see poori, another favorite of mine, on the bread menu [or the tasty (albeit messy) dish chole bathure].

Everyone I know considers this the best Indian food in town, and it's definitely cheaper than the other options. It doesn't look like much from the outside, and is quite casual inside, but legit and relatively quick service.

Huge portions at a good price, as good of Indian food as I ever had on the subcontinent. Delivery service takes a while, allow for at least 90 minutes for a large order, but well worth the wait every time. Make sure you tell them how spicy you want the food, they can make it pretty hot.

Hiding just 5 minutes from Dushanbe center, it is a very family vibe, intimic and tasty restaurant. We ate great samosa, veg curry and dal.
Highly recommend!

So far, it's the best ( and most spicy) restaurant for Indian food at Dushanbe! Nice location and variety of foods

Fiza is definitely a hidden pleasure in the city. I recommend breakfast here if you can get it. I enjoyed the service and the food very much.

We need to go here more often. I have only ate once, but it was really good. And that means excellent for Dushanbe. Service was good and friendly. Order came quickly. No complaints.

Our office held an away-day planning meeting in the restaurant. The food was good (Tajik & Indian) and the conference room good for up to 10 people. The price was unbeatable for the quality - room rental free if they catered for coffee breaks and lunch. They also have a good catering service for off-site events.
