How is Ikh Mongol rated?

We went to try some local craft beer. Our guide told us the usual approach is to go cheap for quantity which makes a true craft beer place hard to run. The menu had several beers we were interested in trying but sadly they were...out (the IPA selection specifically). They did have the Hops & Malt version so we went with that. Still good but not variety past that. The food we ordered was also very good but massive! We had a cheese platter which could have been a meal for just us. Ramen and the spicy pork bowl could have fed another 4 people. Probably best to split a main unless you're very hungry. Overall a nice spot for the atmosphere which changes depending on which part you sit in (beer hall, wine bar etc), food and drinks.More

Discover Mongolia Travel

I only drink craft beer at this place. Mongolian first CRAFT BEER. hops&Rocks i love that. Delicious palace

Great Mongolian food and beer close to the city centre

A pub with great facilities both indoors and outdoors. No fastfood is served, but on the other hand excellent mongolian food.

Good local pub

Went there for dinner during a work trip. the Mongolian food they serve is good and beware, the dishes are bigger in reality than on the photos! there was a live band which wasn't bad but left after 2 songs...

Good all-round place for a drink

Large pub, light and airy with a good atmosphere. Staff were chatty which makes a nice change. Good selection of beers.

Nice local food with good ambiance

This is a good choice for local food but not many vegetarian choices. Nice ambiance. The chef was willing to improvise though.

Nice place for a drink

I had a drink there twice and it has a nice terrace. Nice place for the evening when the weather allows it. I recommend the home-brewed beer.

Ikh Mongol was busy but only fair

Ikh Mongol had some good service and a fair meal deal. The service was good and efficient but the local Altan Gobi beer was flat, disappointing and not all of the beers were available on draught. Any German Pub would serve great and fresh beer....The roasted pork was good but very fatty, roughly half of the three pieces were pure fat. The Mongolian soup was fine and the chicken nibbles okay. The best bit was the meal deal for 22,000mnt which seemed good value for a pizza, chicken nibbles and Altan Gobi beer, topped up again and again. In truth the lamb rib pieces were not tender and as said before the beer was flat and disappointing! The restaurant was seemingly quite popular and quite full by 2 or 3pm.More

The best xushur in Ulaanbaatar

This is a very good place for beer as this is a German type of beer with Mongol flavor. Very good local food. - best traditional xushur in town! They have traditional meal with a modern touch. A big place, but a busy one. Do...not miss it in UB. Reservation recommended.More

had a good luch

very close by hostel i stayed. i had a good meals there. meal was perfect to have at lunch and good to stay with new friends with bottle of beer
