Wonderful food amongst the chaotic street. This is the best food we had in Ho Chi Minh and for a great price

Wanted to try bun cha before leaving Vietnam as I never got chance to try it in Hanoi. This is good! I imagine it’s better in Hanoi but the flavours were tasty. Beware, they’ll charge you if you use the napkin!!??!!
I recently had the pleasure of indulging in the iconic Vietnamese dish, Bún Chả, and it was nothing short of a culinary revelation. This delectable combination of grilled pork, rice vermicelli, and fresh herbs is a symphony of flavors that captures the essence of Vietnamese...cuisine.More
Over our 2 ½ week trip through Vietnam, the meal I had here was one of the best! My boyfriend and I both got the bun cha and it was absolutely delicious! The broth is so flavorful, and the noodles, meat, and veggies were all...perfect too. We were starving so ordered 3 orders of spring rolls (so 6 spring rolls total) and when they arrived, they were huge, so be warned! I will be seeking out bun cha as good as this for the rest of my life. Highly recommend this place!More
It is good because we ate in Hanoi before. In Hanoi it were better however, if you can try while you are in Saigon
After a 2 year Covid hiatus, Bun Cha 145 has finally reopened.... prices went up a bit, but still the same glorious Bun Cha Ha Noi they served years ago..... always happy to come back here
The place is nothing special, the area around very noisy, staff not really attentive and parking their motorbikes and bycicles directly in the already small location. They tell you that beer is sold out if you want to order (even if this is never happening...in Vietnam as if you are customer oriented you can get replenishment everywhere around) and the restroom handwash is not working (if you mention it they don't care) . Food quality and location wise there are definitely much better places in HCMC.More
I enjoyed my visit, food was good and ambience was pleasant. Portions a bit small for the price though. One of the best restaurants on the walking street. Go elsewhere if you want an authentic local experience.
The long wait was to be expected, but wasn't justified by the poor quality of the food. We ordered a range of dishes, including of course the bun cha, but we won't be able to recommend any of them. The bun cha consisted of a...few measly bits of grilled pork, some of which looked like a dog has gone through them - and I'm not sure whether they should be swimming in the broth? Noodles looked like they've been sitting around for hours, both the beef in betel leaves and the spring rolls were extremely greasy. And please do avoid the grilled fermented pork as the size of the serve was just laughable. I'm really annoyed that I allowed us to fall for this tourist trap.More
I used to eat here daily before it had to close during the Covid Pandemic..... I thought it had gone for good, but it's back.....same delicious food after all this time.....
My wife and I walked here from our hotel in district 1. Pretty easy walk and definitely worth the trip. Having not had Bun Cha it was really nice to have a card provided with the chopsticks telling us how to mix everything together. The...herbs were incredibly tasty and the pork was excellent. We ordered two beers, two waters and two Bun Cha (one pork and one vegetarian). Total was $250000. That’s about $10 in USD. Wow. We highly recommend trying to find this restaurant if you are in HCMC. And, they definitely appear to cater to expats. Menus were in English and there were three tables of expats eating lunch (including us) out of the four tables in the restaurant.More
Tiny portion for a hefty price, don’t fall into the tourist trap. They don’t take credit cards. You can find better places in HCMc.
Highly recommend this place. We stopped here for lunch and had a great meal. Very tasty and friendly service also. Thanks!
Was quite quiet when I arrived which was a minor worry but needless. Food arrived promptly, it’s great value and super tasty. Worried that the pork would be tough- nope super tender and could easily have had more! Would throughly recommend.
Closed for awhile, but now back open. Both the hours and the menu are shortened as they get their feet back on the ground, but the quality is still top notch. One of my picky Vietnamese friends said it's still just as good as in...Hanoi.More
