yummy meal especially soup, very local and unique culture, good location because it is adjacent to future MTR station, and near to several restaurants that are popular such as chocolate

My friend and I stumbled across this restaurant looking for a good Pho place for dinner. The atmosphere was really cool and the walls are painted to look like a street. However like many have said it seemed very dirty. The Pho was like warm...and I didn’t really like the broth until I added a lot of extras of hot sauce and hoisin sauce. Over it tasted like a Asian chicken noodle soup. It was worth a try but if you are looking for really good Pho look again.More
If we love Vietnamese food, we can be surprised to discover crappy places. We know Vietnamese are a bit dirty but this place doesn't seem to respect any sanitary advices. Food was ok but I can't imagine how they make it.
Always come here for a taste of Hanoi. Staff are very tentative and friendly. There are a variety of Pho (Hanoi style), but my favorite is Xôi xéo (sticky rice with stewed pork, pork paste and egg).
The food was ok but let's see how we feel in a few hours if you know what I mean! The decor inside is lovely and the service was ok, but I nipped to the loo whilst here which was a major mistake! It's really...grubby, with an old mop in the corner of the toilet that looks like it hasn't been cleaned or replaced for years. The area out the back smells grim and a when I left the cubicle, there was a cat directly in front of me outside taking a poo in a grubby litter tray... Delightful. Having said that, I'm not slagging off the cat. When it's got to go, it's got to go! It's beautiful, really friendly and was the best thing about the place!More
Dropped by with my wife for breakfast from my colleague's recommendation. Rated 4 in my opinion since: - Location: not to close to the central. Need a ride or cab to be here. - Decorations: nice little old Hanoi with drawings along the wall. -...Star of the meal - Pho: right northern style Pho with great seasoned. I love the taste of dried beef put inside. But I dont see so much customers during the time we are here even on Saturday morning. In sum, worth give it a shot.More
Came here for lunch today. Both ordered pho tai and it was very good and reasonably priced. I knocked off a mark for the lack of friendliness from staff. We said our hello, thanks yous, and orders in Vietnamese and all were met with no...reply or smile even, only a stern nod.More
Patronized this joint without any expectations. And yet I left a little disappointed. They ran out of the chinese crispy rollers and the broth is lukewarm.
Good northern-style pho at a local's joint! There were four of us that morning. No sooner had I placed my order that my delicious bowl of pho arrived. Though fewer condiments are provided compared to other pho establishments that you might be used to, they...let the heady, rich broth do the talking. It wasn't as hot (temperature-wise) as I wanted, but other than that it was pretty darn close to greatness. I love pho and this bowl certainly satisfied my craving for it. The interior is simple, but the decor lent a nice touch. French-style street lamps warmed up the concrete floor, and the wooden slatted chairs matched the wall art displaying Hanoi's street scenes. Prices were very affordable and service was pretty quick. They had a steady stream of comings and goings, but that morning there were no tourists to be seen... well, except for my husband and me.More
Went here for breakfast after an early morning jeep tour of the city. Fantastic beef pho and great interior. Would definitely go back if in the area again.
Very difficult to explain the entrance of this local eatery. It is frequented mainly by locals so the food is good. We all enjoyed it and I particularly loved the interior of this place and couldn't help but take photos. The owners didn't mind at...all and were surprised of my taking photos. We loved our Vietnamese noodle soups, they were very much enjoyed.More
Great find near the War Remnant Museum. Simple menu but they serve what they make best - beef noodles. Definitely worth a try if you are in the neighbourhood. No air con though
