You can't bear the tasting Menu at Maison Vie, yet the stinky hand sanitizer on my hand overwhelmed the food aromas. After no community infections for 2 weeks it's time to drop the putrid sanitizer. What's more, the broken record music grates on me, 3...times the same mediocre tunes played. Next time I bring my speaker and play music from my phone. Below duck liver pâté, goat cheese and prociutto salad with sliced apples, chestnut soup with smoked ham, perfectly cooked filet mignon, sea bass. For dessert apple tart in the shape of a rose, with vanilla ice cream. All superb except home made ice cream would be a tremendous upgrade from grocery store variety.More

Loved everything about my dining experience. Both of us had the tasting menu and ordered different items. Everything was delicious. I lived that the chef came out to light the crepes suzette.More

This French restaurant is highly recommend by our tour guide in Hanoi, Vietnam. We made a booking for 4 at 7pm and was told that the restaurant will be full and we were lucky to get our table. When we arrive we discover that this...restaurant is huge on several floors and we were directed to the 3/F. Although it was not quiet we found many empty tables and we wondered why it is difficult to make a reservation. The food we ordered were good. You can choose to have 2,3 or 4 courses at different prices. I chose the starter of fish fillet with potato which is cooked nicely. Both my wife and my main courses are duck fillet with mango sauce, medium rare. It is ok without the wow factor. Service by the waiting staff is excellent and we had an enjoyable dinner. The bill for the 4 of us come to about US80 dollars which are reasonable for a high class restaurant.More

We ate here twice while in Hanoi. It was very good, and very reasonable. They have a set menu nightly, 393 dong,+service and vat.($17.00) Very nice menu if you don't want the set menu. Very attentive and great service . If you need a break...from local food, go here. Casual dress. Had lunch the the old quarter and paid just as much the dinner here. Don't know about men's restroom, but cute sign in women's restroom!More

In town as part of an extended tour with family and a friend. The restaurant was recommended by out too cal tour leader. The service was quite good considering the staff was somewhat short handed because of the holiday. Two of our party ordered off...the daily set menu, the other three ordered a ia carte. We were all completely delighted with our dinner. On the way to the restaurant I inadvertently lost a portable translator in our taxi. I was amazed that the owner of the restaurant took charge and called the taxi company on our behalf and our translator was returned to our hotel. This was beyond expectations. All I can say is his effort was unanticipated and much appreciated.More

This restaurant has elegant food, wonderfully presented, and excellently served. My salad was beautiful and incredibly fresh tasting. My husband’s soup was also lovely. We both had beef ribs, in a wonderfully subtle sauce, and profiteroles for dessert. Went with a Viking tour group—everyone had...a great time.More
