2nd time here . Love the old rustic vintage decor. Service & food was just as good & delicious. The place is well kept , clean & tidy . Food reasonably priced. Service staffs are very attentive and friendly. Will be back again. 😊👍🏼

This place use to be an essential oil factory before it was converted to a diner , being an essential oil lover this is definitely in my list for my visit to Bangkok, just imagine stepping in to the diner smell with essential oil, we basically having our delicious breakfast while having mind therapy with the smell! Tips: Diner located behind Emporium Phrom Phong

Love the style of the restaurant. The dishes that I order are great. Staffs are nice and able provide explanations of each menu. The price range is bit high but to compare with the quality, it is okay.

Went at night, so it was a long and dark walk through the Benchasiri Park. It was obvious that the glass house dining area afforded one a dining experience in a garden setting. But since it was dark, little of the outside could be seen. The interior was lit by dim, warm light. The food, though, didn’t make me feel like it was worth all the trouble to get to. The price was horrendously high, and the portion was so-so. Again, it was a place you bring people to just for the ambience and not for the food. I would say it's a nice place for a guy to impress his gf or gf-to-be, but definitely not a place where I would frequent, or have a second go.

Went there at around 5pm. Nobody else there. Super cool ambience, but staff was terrible. Wouldn't allow us to work on our laptops (nobody else in the whole restaurant) - couldn't order food as food can only be ordered after 6pm. Prices ridiculously high. Taste below par. Waste of time. Never coming back again.

It was our first visit and overall it was an excellent evening. Our food was delicious particularly the beef cheeks special of the day. In this day and age it is a mistake not to have Prosecco on a wine list which they don't and we thought their wine list was a little expensive compared to other restaurants. In fact despite the excellent service and food overall if this place was 15pct cheaper I suspect it would be busier. We will go back for sure but probably need an occasion to justify it.

A few years ago, Karmakamet was introduced to us by Ema, a mutual friend, while we were in Bangkok’s biggest weekend market, Chatuchak. Here in Chatuchak, it was only a shop selling essential oils & aromatherapy products. We were spoilt for choice as there were so many fragrances to choose from & in various form. In the end, we received a body solid perfume each from Ema. Mine was the scent of “Cranberry Harvest.” Ema also brought us to Karmakarmet’s restaurant for dessert. Unfortunately, we can’t remember where it was but it was located quite far from the roadside. When we arrived, we were just stunned to see such a beautiful restaurant in a traditional garden setting. A lot of thought & attention to detail were put into the chic rustic bohemian place with a retro feel. There were potpourri sacks on the ceiling & essential oils on display in vintage medicine cupboards. At the restaurant, there was also a small section where you can purchase aromatherapy products. Desserts were good but definitely pricey. Be sure to fork out quite a bit for your meal but it is definitely worth it. This year, my travelling buddy & I went back to the shop in Chatuchak. It was quite easy to find as we had a Chatuchak map with us. It was good timing too as there was a 30% discount for all products. What’s even better is that the products have just been made available online. However, that’s only good for products which you are familiar with. Needless to say, the fragrances offered are mostly really nice smelling. I would definitely be back to try on more.

This place used to be one of my favourite places in Bangkok for brunch. But every time I come back it seems as if it’s getting worse each time. This time will be the last time I come. I had to wait 55 minutes for my order and the restaurant wasn’t even half full. Very incompetent staff. For this kind of price tag I expect a better service and professionalism altogether. Huge disappointment!

Lovely ambience casual yet classy. The crab pasta and oysters are especially good. Worth a visit to see it’s rustic interior and they even have an essential oil store at the side

This is a lovely place with great decor, if unusual pairing with a scent emporium. We loved the food, though would have liked a kids menu for our 8 year old, as the food was a bit too sophisticated for him (though there were many kids in the place and they were very welcome). I had a omelet which was delicious.

We decided on Karmakamet for a short notice dinner, and while it promised plenty, unfortunately for the most part, it failed to deliver. Pretty cool space, with a funky design. We ordered: Scallop with avocado and orange purée - Absolutely beautiful. Perfectly cooked scallop, with a silky smooth citrusy avocado purée. The downside? For the price, I’d expect at least a couple of scallops rather than the solitary mouthful. American donut with bouillabaisse - An interesting dish. The bouillabaisse had a strange.. almost over cooked flavour to it. Almost as if it had been reduced for too long without actually burning it. The donut didn’t add anything to the dish, apart from acting like a giant dumpling at the end to sop up any juices. Spanish mackerel with duck skin, pork belly and eggplant caviar - The mackerel was excellent, the pork belly was a tinier than tiny square, I literally couldn’t identify the duck skin, and the rest of the plate was very average. Lobster with foie gras and bone marrow and Madeira sauce - The first serving we received was way undercooked, so we sent it back. They made a fresh one, and I must say, apart from the portion size, this nailed it. The lobster was cooked perfectly this time around, and the sauce was spectacular. Banana split in the clouds - What a disappointment. Literally a very sad banana split, with a stick in it, surrounded by a head sized ball of cotton candy. Once you removed the cotton candy, you realised the banana split was a single banana with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on it, and a small square of soggy cake that was supposed to be strawberry. Camembert dipped donut - Not a disappointment. This was simply disgusting. We’re usually pretty adventurous with choosing our food, and unfortunately, we chose wrong this time. None of the flavours worked together, and the cloying sticky Camembert “dip” overrode everything, even the smell of the dish. It simply didn’t work at all, and I’d be stunned to find anyone that would think it made a good dessert. Overall, we spent close to $350aud, including a couple of cocktails and coffee, and honestly, if we spent that much at home, we’d receive a pretty close to perfectly executed meal. Maybe not completely to our taste, but perfectly executed. To spend this much and receive two out of six dishes that satisfied was clearly a miss for us.

Come here more for fun to order the famous cotton candy dessert, the taste is...... a cotton candy + banana boat. Nice ambiance but food and drinks are very pricy. I will not recommend coming here for tea time, as food selection is very limited.

Went for both dinner and brunch and we thought the menu during brunch offered much more choices! Also, we thought the dinner was ok but those we had for brunch tasted much better. If you want to go to this place, do it during brunch. Skip the dinner. Relatively expensive for Bangkok price. But mostly likely will still go back for brunch. Loved the waffle and full breakfast.

A great place hidden in the back alley next to Benjasiri Park (Queen's Park). I came here for brunch on a scorchingly hot day after a long flight. The aroma of this place, the cool air and the natural touch of the interior decor gave me exactly the relaxation I needed. The dishes were great too. They all came with some very meticulously made seasoning that could surprise you in a refreshing way. I would want to come back here again if I ever go to Bangkok again.
