Price update. Only 1 size bowl of the signature tom yum koong noodle seafood soup is now 1500baht. The restaurant is no longer has the smaller size. With 1500baht. It is not worth the money. Its not living up to its hype. You can get similar bowl of tom yum koong in Siam Paragon food court for under 200baht for personal bowl. The large size bowl is way too huge for 1 person, 2 ppl feels like its not really enough. Crab meatballs are OK, but nothing to boast about. Other noodle soup bowl are a little tasteless of flavors. They were advertised fresh coconut juice from the picture but received a bottled coconut juice. We ask for fresh, they said they don't have, and bottled juice is the same. Felt cheated.

we wanted to try this place once, skeptical because of mixed reviews. We had the lobster tomyum with noodles (THB1500)-a huge bowl of noodles with a lobster, 1 small crab, 2 prawns, 2 mussels, bits of salmon and 4 halves of hard boiled eggs.BTW, we cannot eat that lobster, it was not fresh, in fact it was fishy. The soup was the saving grace. There was no waiting area, we were gestured to wait across the road. After we got our seats and placed orders, there is more than 40 min wait for our food. The owner taking orders from customers was abrupt and the waiters likewise. Sometimes for novelty or good food, we accept the rudeness and attitude but it was neither an enjoyable meal nor a delicious one. Would we ever go back or recommend anyone to eat here? Answer is a definite NO.

The cleanliness is below regular fast food chain standard, since it’s an open door shop and flies flying around my table occasionally. Ordered the shrimp egg roll and crab meat balls, both good enough but nothing amazing. The Tom yum gong lobster that every one ordered has one lobster around 1-1.5 lbs, three midget prawns,(size of the head is same as any other prawns but the body is much shorter), the round white sharpe stuff is tofu, not scallop, two regular mussels, two big slice of salmon meat, but doesn’t quite go with the rest of the dish, one squid cut to circles but still attached to each other, the waitress has to cut them up for me with the lobster, the eggs are substandard vs most Japanese chain restaurants. The crab in the picture is no where to be found in my bowl.... the soup is really good and you can tell they used a lot of coconut milk or powder, but overall it’s not up to it’s hype. I would skip this if I’m coming back to Bangkok again.

This place really deserves the title. Soup is well balanced, creamy and not salty. 100 bht for 2 prawns, refused to serve the 60 bht single prawn served in the menu. You will not believe you are really in the land of smiles. The owner has a sour face, this is reflected in the sullen attitude of the staff. Not the easiest place to locate, in the flooded pot holes of Petchaburi Soi 5. Recommended dishes are the 300 bht fried rice small, lobster Tom yum 1500 bht. Do you want eggs, pork added when all you want is to slurp the excellent soup. Overpriced, but this does not deter the tourist market. Can’t see a local here Better for you to try the popular Isaan food next door.

Hi, This was a great find off of petchabirui soi 5 side alley. What initially caught my eye was the aroma wafting in the air and crowded diners. There a bunch of locals and tourists primarily Chinese. This place serves a variety of dishes with seafood. There is a specialty spicy seafood Tom Yom dish for 2 that is famous for as attested by a bunch of high profile pics on the wall. So good went there twice. Had 2 dishes and a drink for $6. Trust me you won’t regret it.

Pee 'Aor or P' Aor is located just off Pratunam Road. It's located in one of the back roads. Local public transportation like buses serve the main road located some 300m from the noodle shop. It's definitely for travellers looking for a 'zing' in the Tomyum Gung. Apparently, many Southeast Asian tourists who hail from Singapore and Malaysia frequented this place. The shop has a hawker fare feel with simple wooden tables and chairs. Inside, on one side the walls are plastered with photos of customers and perhaos celebrities. On other side, there are glass cabinets fill with anime figurines collections and not forgetting DC, Marvel, etc, figurines and various others from matchboxes cars. The food menu looks deliciously appetising enough to gawk at for minutes. Then we have our delicious bowls of Tomyum Gung. The prawns are massively delicious and sumptuous to melt inside the mouth. Some has complained that P'Aor's Tomyum Gung isn't spicy enough. Well, these people aren't connoisseurs of food. Tomyum Gung in Bangkok isn't supposed to be really hot. The gist of the taste is balance, that is the prawn meat, the soup and the essence of coconut with the tamarind and the chillies. As such, the blend of this is about smoothness to your pallete. Of course, if patrons are looking for just seafood with a ton of heat from the spice, sorry, this isn't the place. In fact Bangkok's food isn't that spicy nowadays to appease those from Western countries that have yet to maximise their pallete to take heat. All in all, thumbs up from me and my American friend from Florida. Don't forget to choose the type of noodles you like. As for me, green's the colour of the noodle because it's healthy.

As I walked in, I saw the walls covered in photos of celebrities that have eaten Tom Yum at Pee Or. Then I began to notice all the people at their tables being served or eating their seafood Tom Yum… I could not wait to get my hands on a bowl for myself. I ordered drinks along with the deluxe seafood Tom Yum which includes lobster, crab, mussels, squid, salmon, etc. Option of what type of noodles is offered and for me, I also ordered a side of rice. Because the only thing better than one carbohydrate is two carbohydrates. How was the soup? Great if you like seafood. The soup had no spice to it, so if and when I return, I will definitely ask for some heat. That would have made this bowl perfect. Overall the service and food is excellent. It’s pricey but worth it.

The prawn crab roe omelette rice is quite normal nothing to shout about. Tom Yum soup was nice though. It's a long walk from the main road and not many locals know this shop.

Pretty good seafood in the bowl. Quantity - good for 3-4 people. 1500 baht so kinda worth it. Tom yum is average, the kind that makes you thirsty later on. Probably added too much msg. A non touristy area so enjoyed the walk to this eatery.

The food is nice and the portions are ok for the price paid. Not spicy. We went early, we were the first few that went in first. The place is quite small, it can accommodate about 25 people +/-. Sitting bench is small for a plus size girl like me.

Hidden Treasure! I visit Bangkok at least 3x a year for the food. This is a must go if you love Tom Yum Kung. Most people will go Jeh O Chula and waste at least 2 hrs waiting. Why waste your time and come to Pe Aor instead. Food is equally good (if not better) and service is even better. The staff are friendly and patiently answer all our questions. The lady boss saw us going gaga over their cute lovebirds and brought them to us. So cute and what a nice gesture. Back to the food. The prawns are fresh and the soup base is absolute heaven. Don’t forget to try their dry Tom yum noodles too!
