Excellent service and food at Cadwallader Cafe on February 15, 2020. We arrived at 6:30 without a reservation- not making plans on Valentine’s weekend was my mistake. Fortunately and happily we were seated quickly. (We didn’t visit the bar, but this restaurant appears to have a well appointed and comfortable bar area). The service and food was amazing. We each choose a salad before enjoying an entree of fresh fish or steak. Each course was flavorful and served with a smile. The wine menu also didn’t disappoint. The crème brûlée was the perfect ending to a fabulous meal. We will be back....

As frequent fine dining couple world wide, this is one of our best experiences. From making the reservation to leaving the place the staff was exceptional. They were exceeded only by the chef who delivered incredible courses of creative food. We were visiting from SE Florida and very surprised by the experience at a cost of 30% what we would pay at home. It was worth the 8 hour drive. Thanks to the owner for fitting us in on a fully booked Saturday evening. We will be back.

What a fabulous dining experience.
A very nice atmosphere for a restaurant.
The staff was so friendly they made each diner feel like an honored guest.
The chefs special appetizer was incredible I could have made a whole meal out of two of them.
The Rack of Lamb was perfectly prepared and presented in an outstanding manner.
The Black Forrest Cake was probably one of the best I have ever had. The cake was the best balance of flavors.
The overall evening meal was a great dinning experience.

After reading glowing reviews, my partner and I decided to try Cadwalladers Cafe to celebrate my birthday this week. With the limitations imposed on restaurants due to COVID-19, we made our reservations for Friday. Staff was pleasant and friendly. We were told the special and drink orders were taken. We shared a salad and then waited. Eventually the waitstaff stopped by to say she would check on our dinners and then we were told our order had gotten lost in their system. . A few minutes later our meals suddenly appeared but they were not hot or really even warm; more like room temp. Given the limited number of customers restaurants are allowed to serve and other safety conditions they must meet, I would have hoped the food served would have been not only tasty but also hot and served more promptly. We did not have an experience at Cadwallader's Cafe that we would care to repeat.

Having a romantic date with my wife compliments of my daughter who give us a gift certificate for Christmas. The drinks were great, service exceptional, and food delicious. I had the pork chop and my wife the petite tenderloin. Meat portions were smaller than I expected but cooked perfectly. All in all enjoyable - highly recommend for your special date.

In years past I ate many a dinner here while on business and was never disappointed. It's been quite a while and now they are under new ownership. We were two couples on a Friday evening. Upon arrival we found the owner out front greeting customers which was a nice touch. We were immediately seated and served. We started the meal with cocktails and three (3) shared appetizers (charcuterie board, duck wings and a crab cake). All were excellent but the duck wings really stood out. For entrees my tablemates had the creamy Parmesan risotto and two of the bison ribeyes while I had the chargrilled veal chop. All were nicely prepared and beautifully served. No complaints whatsoever with the food or the service. Although the prices here are a bit expensive, the portions are bountiful and you will not leave hungry (like you do in some fine dining establishments). My wife and I had enough left over for a second meal the next day. We all shared a piece of (complementary) lemon blueberry layer cake which was excellent. For us, it was an expensive night out but one which we'll talk about until such time as we make a return visit. If you want to have a great meal and not just a pretty plate (that may leave you hungry), you should visit Cadwalladers Cafe.

The staff is very welcoming and knowledgeable! The atmosphere is comfortable, with plenty of booths. All of the tables are adorned with white linens and the lighting is slightly dim, enough for a nice ambiance, but not so dark that you cannot read the menu. The menu itself is phenomenal. It does change seasonally, but there are some staple items, like the crab cake appetizer and the filet mignon. The desserts are always homemade and delicious, with picture perfect presentation. Don't forget about the wine, cocktail and whiskey lists - one of the best in town! I do recommend making a reservation, especially for weekends, and definitely for holiday seasons. Definitely a great place for date night, birthdays, and anniversaries. Five stars!

What can I say ? The girlfriend loved her dish, the risotto, me ? I found my bison to be a bit bland. We ended up trading the desserts each of us ordered, as I didn’t like my first pick, nor did she. Service was excellent, nice place to try once, not sure it warrants a second visit.

The best fine dining place in Augusta hands down. They have a bison ribeye thats out of this world and the Berkshire pork is like no pork youve ever had. The owner John greets you at the door everything time. Make a reservation for sure. They do walk-ins but there’s only a few tables set aside for those people so make sure you call ahead.

Amazing food! I am vegan and gluten free and was so happy with my meal. It was one of THE BEST dishes I’ve eaten recently. So much flavor and so much food. Even if you aren’t vegan, you would enjoy it. My son had the duck and our friend had the lamb. They said both were beyond excellent. My husband had the vegan dish too and he agrees with my comments.
I had the salad with smokey tomato vinaigrette, it was beautifully plated and superb on the palette.
We also had the sorbet for dessert, which was full of flavor!

From the moment we were greeted at the door our experience was perfection. Our waitstaff and the attention we were given was genuine and wonderful. The food and wine was superb! I had delicious creamy risotto and shrimp that was the best I have ever tasted. My husband loved the duck wings, and fresh hot bread as an appetizer. His Lamb was cooked perfectly. Our daughter thoroughly enjoyed her filet. I would much rather go to Cadwalders and enjoy an excellent meal than anywhere else in the area. The entire evening was wonderful.

So, we only found this place because of online reviews. It did not disappoint. I was driving with a client to Atlanta and we needed a place to stop for dinner. We were little suspicious when we found the place as it was in a nondescript business area.
But once we stepped in we were happy we ventured in. Food was excellent. They definitely love bacon, but it was all delicious.
And the wine list was incredible. Many large city fine dining restaurants would envy it.
Lovely waitress and host - they couldn't have been more accommodating. Decor a bit hokey, but everything else more than made up for it.
Would definitely go back if back in Augusta

We visited on a Friday evening. The atmosphere was excellent as the owner seated us and immediately had glasses of water delivered. Our server was excellent, always attentive but not being intrusive. The drinks were very good and competitive priced. Our food was excellent! All 4 of us were very pleased with the food.

We were in Augusta for the Masters. I had made the reservation weeks before after reading the very complimentary reviews. Though it's located in a small, quiet strip center, don't let the first impression fool you, it's a great place to eat! We were a party of four dads and sons each having different entrees. All were outstanding! John and his mine steward were both very friendly and helpful. The quiet and sedate atmosphere was another plus.

OK, first - the food was great, the drinks were awesome, the service was excellent. So what do I have to complain about? Went there with my wife for a special occasion. The owner or manager (not sure who she was) spent the entire time we were there standing and talking to two of her friends one table away from us. And they must have been all deaf as they had to talk in a loud voice and constantly repeat themselves. Dirty looks and a complaint to the waitress didn't help. So anyway, we probably won't be going back.
