We stopped by Robin's Kitchen on a recommendation from the bartender at our hotel that we were staying at, Mata Rocks, which is almost across the street. We were greeted by Melinda who was cooking on the grill. This a roadside stop place. It was 2 min walk from our hotel. It has a grass roof over a dirt floor outdoor dining area and a barrel grill cooking chicken right by the road. We ordered the curry chicken, beans, rice and coleslaw. The jerk chicken was still cooking so we did not try this. The curry chicken was very tasty and well as the rice and beans. This is not an expensive place nor a regular restaurant. If you want to eat like the locals or are looking for inexpensive and good tasting food this worth going to. Also if you just caught a fish, they can cook it for you! Our meal cost $7 each. They don't have beer but the little store next door sells ice cold Belikan for $2 US each. All in all worth the trip over there.

This rustic restaurant wasn’t far from where I was staying so I walked over to pick up some jerk chicken for lunch. Boy, did I ever underestimate how busy they would be. When Robin told me I would have to wait to place my order until they served the people at the tables (2 tables) I didn’t realize he had to fill about 5 other orders that had been placed earlier before he even got to them! I waited about 40 minutes for a take out order of jerk chicken & rice & beans, it was worth the wait but next time I would go earlier (I was there just after noon) and be prepared to wait or come back. They were already out of fish and I wasn’t able to get an extra piece of chicken as they were running low.

We went to this spot after hearing so much about it. We were told by the locals to arrive around 6:30pm (he opens at 6pm). By the time we arrived, there were several people there. The pros are that his Jerk Chicken is well seasoned, his personality infectious and his food tasted really good. The main complaint I have is that he only has ONE dish; Jerk Chicken, Rice and Cole Slaw. That's it. I wold like to have some "options" to choose from. Other than that, the food was solid and quite inexpensive. I've had better, but the trip to Robin's should definitely be made, if you are on the Island and have a taste for authentic Jamaican food.

The food here was quite good but the traffic causes a dust storm that coats the tables. Take-out is an option. Beer and sodas are available for purchase next door so don't go expecting a full service dining experience. This is a small operation and he is doing his best to provide meals at a good price. Locals keep coming back so you should give it a try.

If you want local cuisine, cooked over a wood fired grill this is the best place on the island. We had jerk chicken and it was perfect. We met Jr. (Robin's son) who did all the cooking and he was one of the neatest people I have ever met. Be aware that they cook chicken fresh and when they run out, it will take some time to get a new batch cooked. We found the best time to go was at 11:30 for lunch and around 5:30 for dinner.

Get there early when it opens as this is a tiny restaurant and serves with no menu.. we surely cleaned our plates of jerked chicken coconut rice and slaw with wonderful heat. Habenero peppers are used and done really perfectly!

So we decided to extend our stay in Belize and ended up staying over Christmas. We decided that Robin's would be our Christmas meal since we had heard nothing but amazing things. The jerk chicken was THE BEST ever I've never had such delicious chicken!! Also on a side note we ended up being short cash and Robin was so pleasant he just gave us our meals out of good faith. We ended up returning the next day to repay him but where do you find that kind of service anywhere!?

Looking for authentic jerk chicken at a great price - Robin's is the place. This is more of a lunch stop then supper. It's chicken, rice & beans and coleslaw served on a picnic table along side the road. If you're fussy - don't go there. If you're looking for a tasty adventure- this is the place. Note: bring your bug spray if going after dark.

One of our favorite meals in Ambergris Caye, and certainly the cheapest. This is good quality, local home cooking at it's finest. The only thing Robin serves is jerk chicken with rice and beans and cole slaw, but she does it very well. Super casual atmosphere, great vibes and wonderful food. Highly recommend!

We have been to Robins two days in a row and will be going again today. It’s a great spot to grab some lunch. The food is yummy, extremely affordable and they give you a good amount of food. Try their jerk chicken, which comes with rice and beans, cole slaw and fried sweet plantains. Today we will be trying their curry goat! The owners are super nice as well.

Just a roof, dirt floor, old tables and plastic chairs. But we had the best time there. John showed us the chickens on the grill and the smell just lured us in. Best meal we had on the island and was only $7. Didn't include the beer which we were told we could venture at the store next door to buy some Belikin beer and bring over to our table. We had the best Jamaican jerk chicken, rice & beans, and cole slaw. Wish we'd gone there additional times. Hungry just thinking about it. I heard you have to get there in time before they sell out for the evening. We went 4 or 5, I think.

Place is fantastic, best jerk chicken flavoring without being too spicy. Staff was very friendly as well. We needed one vegetarian dish out of our group and it wasn't a problem for them at all. Atmosphere is great if you are looking for ultra casual. We even went next door to buy our own drinks. Definitely worth stopping, you will have to wait a while if they don't have the chicken ready though, but it is worth it.

Wanna try a little local gem while in San Pedro Belize? Wanna save some $$$ while having a killer, fresh meal? Wanna meet a super nice family who’s son is on his way to Culinary School? Walk 100 yards south of the new AlaiaBelize resort & meet the Harvey Family & have a killer meal for $12 US for 2. Fresh caught Snapper steamed in banana leaves or grilled lightly jerked chicken Q’d right in front of you served with Rice & Beans, fresh slaw & the best local BBQ sauce around. Friendly people run this place that deserve everyone’s support! Thanks to Matthew @Alaiabelize for the recommendation. When he said if we didn’t like it he pay for it… Figured it must be a guaranteed hit and it was.

Robin's Kitchen is a side-of-the road open-air place that offers basically two things: Jerk Chicken and Stewed Chicken. They open at noon and there is often already a line. They can sell out by 1:30pm, then there's a wait while they cook more... sometimes they're able to serve a second lunch shift, sometimes they just close when they run out. If you drive by, and they're open, STOP! or you may miss your chance. The Jerk Chicken is divine! Moist, just right seasonings, not spicy. The sauce will having you licking your fingers clean! Seating is limited, so we had a Canadian couple ask if they could join us at our small table, which resulted in a lovely visit! Super cheap!

We stopped by Robin's roadside stand. What a great jerk chicken meal. Hours say he is open till 5 30 but we drive by at night and he is still serving. My guess is that he cant turn his customers away. 2 choices to your meal, jerk chicken and chicken curry. You dont need any more. Tender and tasty!
