You and your guests will be dined and entertained as our skilled chefs prepare your dinner right before your eyes. Great Hibachi!

I have been to many Hibachi restaurants in many different places. From NY, to TX, to Puerto Rico, to FL, to...you get the point. Well this may have been the best experience yet! I’ve also been to another Kobe location (Longwood, FL) but this one is much better. The restaurants’ decor was on point. Loved the large Koi fish pond in the front. Also loved the wonderful service, especially by our Hostess, Linh. She was very friendly and attentive to all of us. The food was amazing as well. Huge portions and everything was simply delicious. To begin with a tasty soup and fresh crispy salad, started things off right. Then literally everything that Chef Onkyo cooked was amazing. The fried rice is usually hit or miss, but this one was one of the best. The veggies were lightly cooked and seasoned to perfection. My sirloin steak was so tender and tasted divine. My scallops were fresh and tasty as well. We all really enjoyed how entertaining and engaged Chef Onkyo was while he created our masterpiece meals. The new standard for Hibachi restaurants has been raised, thanks to Linh, Onkyo, and the rest of the staff at the Altamonte Springs Kobe Japanese Steakhouse!

The food 🥘 and entertainment was yum yum 😋. It has been years since I last visited and happy the see the quality is still in point. The salmon, scallops, and shrimp were cooked just the way I ordered them. Chef Don is the man!!!

lots of COVID precautions plus great food and service

We went here with our granddaughter (and of course her parents) because we knew she would like the food and the show. We were very happy with the food. Between the 5 of us we sampled everything on the hibachi menu and it was all very good. The service was also very good. But we appreciated the COVID precautions the restaurant took even though barely any of the customers felt the need to wear a mask. Masks for all employees and dividers between the different groups seated at each hibachi table.

So, to start off, I've been going to this location since I was a kid, over 35 years. I've always enjoyed the food and service. This restaurant has taken a turn for the worse. I ordered our food for take out. I was informed that the take out orders do not include soup or salad and kids menu orders were not available for take out. I placed an order of over $100 and at the point of finalizing the order, I was informed of this. If you dine in, you can order kids items and soup and salad come with it, no additional charge, but if you order take out, those items ate extra or unavailable, unless you dine in. Well, you lost my business, since my only reason for going to you is cause my son loves the food. I found another place closer to me that taste better than kobe and is more customer service oriented and actually includes the items that Kobe excludes. I'm done with Kobe.

An excellent experience for a celebration (like a birthday)

Una as a waitress was very attentive and helpful. She even gave my 5 year old a cupcake to match mine. Jason performed perfectly and was very personable and humorous not to mention the steak was delicious and spot on rare! I can't wait for my wife's birthday, or any other excuse, to return!

Fun 7th Birthday

My family and I went to Kobe Altamonte for the first time in years the other night and had a great visit. It was my daughter's 7th birthday. Our server (Hieu) was very friendly, came to check on us frequently, and was proactive with getting kid-friendly items and utensils. In this day and age it has been feeling like most servers are not happy with their jobs and think the patron owes them a huge debt for their service. It was refreshing for the opposite to be true here. Also, our chef (Jason) was animated and personable. We made our daughter feel special and included by forming the rice into her name on the grill!

GREAT FOOD AND EXPERIENCE

We chose to be seated with menu rather than to watch cooking as our group was starving for food rather than entertainment. Service was great. The only downside to dinner was the group of adults and children who had finished their dinners and regrouped in the empty bar behind us. They were so loud and despite my several dirty looks they didn't care. I had hoped maybe management might say something as they were ruining dinner for all of us! Despite that, service and food was great and I would definitely return.

Went for my birthday dinner after having not gone in a few years, it was just as spectacular as I remembered it to be. I recommend getting the salad with the yum yum sauce if you don't like the sesame dressing. The atmosphere is amazing, just like the food. They always make you feel welcome and loved.

Daniel is the best!

Phenomenal - Food was great, but Daniel's service made the experience perfect. He remembered us (mostly our son) from our last visit and went out of his way to make sure he was perfectly taken care of. He was perfect on our first visit, and even better tonight. Thank you Daniel! Fist bumps!

We celebrated our grand daughter's birthday at Kobe's in Altamonte Springs. We had reserved for a big party and once everyone arrived then we were seated almost immediately. The chef prepared an excellent meal & the wait staff was also great. Constantly checking to refill drinks & very nice to all of our grandkids. The price it high but you get a lot for your money$. I recommend the shrimp/scallop dinner. Fabulous!

Awful experience, we had to apologize, but order take didn't accept her mistake that she might be overheard about sharing trio between two of us or forget to communicate with the chef and arguing with us.

We are familiar with this restaurant and the Longwood location. They are two different experiences. We came to this location because my family said they had a great experience here and they liked it better. Sorry, I disagree. We had reservations and had to wait 10-15 minutes. The kids fed the fish and my sister and mom (85) went to the bar (mainly because the benches are low and made of wood-hard to sit on). It was happy hour so they got some wine. We then were seated and the server took our drink order. We had some time to look at the menu and order. I asked for filet and shrimp. The second server came out and gave us our soup. I always ask for 2 soups instead of the salad because I personally don’t like the ginger dressing and they accommodated me. The soup was wonderful. Then the chef came out. He verified the order with everyone and started his show. I’m used to the normal “tricks” that they do but he seemed to just be going through the motions and not trying to interact with us at all. That is the fun of it! When you get to interact with the chef and be part of the experience. Then the chef left and we ate for a little while. The second server returned to put the food in the to go containers and my sister received the bill from the first server. We had to ask for to go containers for the sauce and the second server was putting all the food in a small container so the food was all cramped. I like to have my food separate (I didn’t want the rice and noodles mixed together) but I wasn’t able to put it away myself so it would be separate. He had to do it. When I opened it at home, it was all mixed up as if someone put it all in a bowl and mixed it up with a large spoon. During the meal we had to ask for refills and any drinks (liquor) had to be ordered by person at the bar. The atmosphere is ok. Open areas and as many tables as possible. Remember, each table seats approximately 9-10 people. It’s extremely loud and each person has to yell in order to be heard (to server, chef, each other). The “yum yum sauce” seems to have changed too. It’s more tangy than it used to be. It seems it’s mayoketchup and thousand island dressing. I’m used to a smaller version of this with friendly service and interactive chefs. The Longwood location is better. Take some pointers from them please.

Food is good but....

My family and I love eating at Japanese steakhouses and with the reviews and the way this place looked on the outside, we were quite hopeful this would be be a place we loved. The food was good (the teppan tables), service and sushi was horrible. The waitress was never around and the chef had to flag other servers for us to get refills. The sushi rolls fell apart and had no spicy for a supposed hot and spicy roll. Our chef was great, I wish I could remember his name. The worst thing is that they add your tip in for you without asking and make it 18 percent. I was fine with mandatory charges during the pandemic, but now. Really? If you have to add an automatic tip into your customers check maybe you should train your staff better so people would tip better. Not sure my family and I would return due to poor service and adding a tip automatically.

BUYER BEWARE: Tourist Trap ☹ Nice people but want to stick it to you $$$ wise. They don’t tell you TIP is included @ 18%. Then when the bill comes they suggest the TIP choices in addition to the 18% ☹ They use English but not clearly and sell you up w/o you really knowing the cost factor involved. I ordered Lobster Shrimp Scallops for like $65 – they asked me if I wanted to make it XL. So I assumed more Lobster Shrimp Scallops. I ended up get Lobster and ZERO Shrimp ZERO Scallops but $250 worth of beef ( I don’t eat beef ). Long story short I contacted MGT @ 407-790-4032 and took 2 wks for them to respond. We talked and they say they can’t do anything ☹
