It's annoying when folks write and tell you that everything on the menu's good, right? Well, you're gonna be annoyed by this review. We visited for Sunday brunch and were able to sit at the bar (reservations are recommended no matter what time you're trying...More

Totally enjoyed the experience. It is an open, airy spot that caters to people who like good food, not necessarily an enormous amount of it. The Waffles were crispy, the pan scrambles were excellent..good bacon and sausage. The beignets were a nice way to finish...More

We popped in. Waited about 30 minutes but certainly worth it. Shrimp n grits oh so good. Can't wait to go back.

The vibe was great and the menu was superb with something to suit anyone's taste. The waitstaff was particularly good and quite attentive. Reservations are a must as the place was packed. Great energy and food will bring me back.

We walked past this restaurant one night and saw people queuing....our concierge also recommended it. Consequently we made a booking and went for dinner. The waiter was very good and the food was ‘solid’: nothing extraordinary but by the same token, nothing to sing praises...More

I’ve been wanting to visit this Founding Farmers location since I heard it was opening in DC. I love the one in Potomac, MD. Their appetizers are a meal in themselves and they are fantastic. I dream about their bacon wrapped dates 🤤🤤 and the...More

We visited Founding Farmers for brunch. Food was great but I have had better. The Beignets were a great starter to try just wished they were brought out as an app not with our meal. We loved that all the food was fresh and locally...More

I've eaten here a few times (especially like to bring people not from DC) and it's always busy but quick and efficient. The food has amazing choices which the staff are knowledgable about. The cocktails are a little pricey but they're a good selection and...More

I got the veggie burger with cranberries and Brie with a side of sweet potato. The burger was the best veggie burger I've had. I do eat meat but I was in the mood for a veggie burger. It doesn't disappoint. The sweet potato is...More

Founding Farmers, the Greenest Restaurant in DC, is owned by the more than 40,000 family farmers of the NDFU, serving American inspired real food and drink with an emphasis and focus on cooking from scratch. While our restaurant is supplied by hundreds of family farms everywhere, that doesn't mean we know every farm, and that doesn't mean we never have to buy product from the traditional (corporate) supply chain, but it does mean we're working hard to direct our purchasing dollars where it aligns with our values. We're serving the best food we can, made from scratch in our kitchens every day. Our innovative, American dishes are made primarily with pure ingredients honoring the farmers and their hard-earned bounty.
