Of all the vineyards/wineries we visited Batch really blew us away. The wine’s at the cellar door were delicious, and for us they were the smoothest of all the wines we’d tried. They really stood out as most vineyards on waiheke don’t offer a sparkling...wine in their tasting. I’m not normally a fan of red wine but the ones included in the tasting were very easy drinking. We also ate lunch at the restaurant, the food was delicious and the service was great, everyone was attentive and the food came out quickly. We sat in the gardens afterwards and the view is stunning, I would really really recommend adding this to your trip to Waiheke.More

We went to Batch Winery because it had been recommended to us for wine tasting. However, when we arrived at 5PM, the tasting room had just closed, and they would not serve us even though other customers were still tasting. Since we needed to wait...for the next Explorer Bus anyway, we decided to have a snack and try their wine. $64 NZ poorer after some fries and two glasses of their Legacy Chardonnay, our abbreviated Batch experience was concluded. We obviously cannot speak to the overall quality of their tasting room or restaurant, but the chardonnays and fries were acceptable. The panoramic views were actually impressive.More

We stopped for wine tasting. Very informative employee. Great tasting. In retrospect, lunch there would have been in a great environment.

We visited for dinner yesterday, it was fantastic. The sunset was stunning which added to the evening! Food was amazing and the wines were really good. Loved the Legacy Chardonnay, the best Chardonnay on the island. There was also a wedding taking place in their...venue to the right, it looked so idyllic, what a spot to get married. Will visit again when on the island.More

Great food, best wine, great ambience. We had visited many wineries on Waiheke and then discovered this one not far from our accommodation. A revelation. The best New Zealand lamb (a must), the bets rose, the best views. Super impressed.

New Zealand has had more than its fair share of wet weather in January but the views from the restaurant were spectacular. The bus tour around Waheke Island provided an excellent place to stop at the Batch and we were very glad it was one...of the only restauarants open on the day of our visit. Service was friendly and the lamb rump cooked by charcoal in the Josper oven was outstanding. It was accompanied by a modest serve of witlof and we really should have added sides. A very enjoyable lunch.More
