Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Bisou is a real gem - we thoroughly enjoyed our crepes, pain au chocolat, pain au raisin and carrot cake. Very efficient and friendly service, despite it being busy. We will definitely be back!!

Found this place when we first arrived on the Island. Stopped off for a crepe and coffee. Friends got the French onion soup. We all loved our meals so much we made sure to stop back again before we left the island to try more of the offerings. The quiche was sensational, and the pasty with sultanas (pan raisin or something) was so good i got a second one for the road (which only made it to the ferry). The food itself is enough to warrant a visit, but the lady serving us was the absolute cherry on top - so sweet and kind and friendly. Cant recommend this place enough.

We enjoyed hot strong long black coffee with yummy cake and a pastry. Nice selection of sweet and savoury treats and a blackboard menu. Friendly efficient staff. We would return

Great find for breakfast and coffee & croissants Waiheke. Liked it so much that we returned often during our 2 day stay. Typical of New Zealand, the Cappuccinos and croissants knock your socks off. Makes Starbucks stuff look likes it’s from an army mess hall. Prices are very reasonable, especially since the US dollar was so strong. Very friendly manager and staff.

The best coffee on Waiheke and the best breakfast to be had. My wife and i ended up going to Bisou on three occasions during our weeks stay on Waiheke. The coffee was superb and the ham, cheese and egg savoury crepe we had for breakfast was out of this world. The service was terrific and we thoroughly enjoyed sitting outside in the sun, drinking our coffee and watching the world go by! Almost like being in Paris!!

I regularly walk down to Bisou for breakfast. The coffee is excellent, the croissant and other baked goods are fresh and tasty. For something more try the galettes. The atmosphere and staff are French. It's not crowded and on a sunny day the outside seating is lovely.

Fresh, new and fantastic! Fresh baked pastries, yum baguettes and delish galettes and crepes. Amazing pate and cakes as well. French twist on classic cafe meals. Best thing to happen to Waiheke in a long time!

This little French cafe, located in Surfdale, is simply devine. The food, coffee and staff were truly amazing, with all the staff engaging in conversation with their guests. They are famous for their crapes and galettes, but make sure your grab a croissant or some pastries, they are so fresh! A must visit in Waiheke island.

We were visitors to Waiheke Island and decided to visit Bisou on the recommendation of friends who are locals. We were met by staff who were friendly and outgoing, in spite of it being busy during the high season. The coffee, which I understand was from EightThirty, was perfectly made. The galettes were fresh and the flavours well balanced. We really enjoyed our breakfast, thank you Team Bisou 😊

Came across this place purely by chance. Late afternoon and couldn't find anywhere for a sandwich, but this place is just stunning. Excellent service, as good a crepe as I have had anywhere, eight thirty coffee and the best lemon tart ever. Recommend it at any time of the day.

Bisou is a lovely little cafe where you feel you leave NZ behind and enter a true French cafe. Really nice coffee and sandwiches, and super friendly service.

We rented a cottage in Surfdale so this cafe was walking distance. We had two breakfasts and one dinner here. Beautiful crepes, delicious duck confit, great fresh juices and the best lemon tart I have ever tasted. I highly recommend a visit while visiting the Island.
